This game is tons of fun, relaxing, and just really chill. I wish I could bring it to work and play it all day every day, it is incredibly captivating, from the music to the bright colors, I don't do drugs but I would imagine this game is nearly as satisfying...

Great for kids

Disappointed by the hype

I'm a big fan of video games: I own the Game Boy, PSP, NES, SNES, PS2, XBox360, etc. I like all types of games, from Final Fantasy to Ico to Doom to Super Bust-A-Move. I was really looking forward to this game, having heard about the unique gameplay elements and innovation.

I believe this is a game that's hard to judge, because the gameplay is so subjective. I would encourage anyone interested in this game to get their hands on it and play it before they buy it. If I had the chance to preplay it, I wouldn't have purchased it.

The gameplay is cute, the sounds and graphics lend themselves well to this style of game. But the premise is childish and not exactly that complicated. You can blow through this game in very little time. Now, true, you can always go back and try getting 100% of the stars and blobs in each level, but after you play each level a couple of times, it gets ridiculously repetitive.

This is one of those titles that, to me, would be great to borrow from a friend for a weekend. I haven't picked up this game since the day after I started playing it.

Loco Roco is innovative and fun, but it's charm wares off.

Loco Roco is one of the more interesting games for the PSP. You don't control the creatures, but you control their environment by tilting it left and right to make the little buggers flow. You can seperate and combine them. There are tons of secrets and mini-games and you can improve upon your score, but the game itself offers no challenge and loses its charm quickly. Good for a rental though.

---------

Pros: Innovative fun gameplay. Tons of secrets and unlockables. Mini-games and lots of levels. Great level design.

Cons: Gameplay lacks a challenge and loses it's charm quickly.

Not for hardcore gamers!

This super cute game always puts a smile on my face! the music is just bright and lighthearted, the little creatures (smiling blobs) are cute and carefree, and the games setting is just beutiful. the object and controls of the game are very simple and can be enjoyed by anyone with enough understanding to no not eat the psp, which makes this game perfect to play with a kid you'r babysitting. the farther you get in the gome the more little characters you can unlock, each with their own song, and personality. I would highly recommend this game for anyone who doesnt enjoy games with gore.

so cute it'll give you cavities!

LocoRoco is soo cute and the L & R triggers make this game easy on the hands. You collect house parts as you go, so you can build your own loco house, and as you get through the stages you find you friends *locoroco of different colors* and each friend sings a different tune. SO CUTE!! even my friends that aren't games *and pretty much suck at games* can play this and have fun with it.

A Must Have For PSP Owners

This game should be a staple in any PSP owner's library. The game is addictive and fun, it starts off with a simple premise of collecting locoroco's throughout the game, but actually progresses to a challenging and very rewarding game.
The graphics are topnotch. The control's are smooth, and the music and sound effects are adorable and makes you care for your locoroco more.
On the outside, it seems like LocoRoco is but a children's game with cutesy characters and sound, but as you progress, the stages get harder with more enemies, and harder to find locoroco's and secrets.
There are also quite a few mini-games packed into the game itself which one can play by collecting berry-like things or by finding secret items throughout the world map which can then enable you to build a locoroco house.
If you ask any hardcore PSP owner out there what games you MUST have for your PSP - I can assure you that LocoRoco will be one of them.

Great clean fun for all ages. This game is very interesting, always entertaining and fun to play. It's a throwback to simple games of NES. A great play.

Joy contained in a small disc.

For simple platforming, this game is one of the best. It's happy with PLENTY to unlock. The soundtrack is amazing. The graphical style is fluid and appeasing to the eyes. It's got a lot of personality, and the gameplay is solid.

Quickly addicting little game

Fun, simple gameplay but still very challenging. Quite addicting. It has a rather amusing soundtrack and is a game you can play at about any age you can manage to hold a PSP. Highly recommended for relaxing or when stuck in long waiting rooms or trips.
