This is the best X-Men game I've ever played. In it, the X-Men and the Brotherhood team up to try and put an end to Apocalypse's reign of terror which could destroy the world. You can play as Wolverine, Magneto, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Sabretooth, Rouge, Pyro, Cyclops, Gambit, Mystique, Beast, Juggernaut, Jean Grey, Storm, Bishop and Toad. There are other characters you fight against, and more you can unlock. I would love to play as Apocalypse, since he is my 2nd favorite X-Men villain next to Magneto, but too bad! He's the final boss in this game so you can only fight him. And maybe, if you are lucky, unlock. Whatever, it is a cool game anyway. The characters say lots of cool stuff, they can perform all sorts of awesome powers, they can level up and gain more power and the villains you fight against even have some funny or wicked things to say, not to mention nasty combos that make this game all the better. I could go on, but that would take all day. Anyway, I can only imagine what I'll discover when I go further in this terrific game, and all in all, it has the same "top of the tower" greatness for X-Men games as lions do for animals. Period, hands down. Anyway, if you like X-Men, buy this.
Great Game. On-line? Where is everyone?

This is a really great game for what it is. Reviewers on the XBox and PS2 pages for this are right on with most of their reviews so I won't repeat. In short, this is Diablo with less dark plot, more spiffy powers, and choices. In general this is definately a worthy purchase for anyone and I like the PC version because of the two bonus characters. However one of my biggest reasons for buying this was to play online (in a similar style to Diablo) however I don't think I've ever seen anyone logged on. Its even free to play online! In general the story is solid, the graphics are passable, and its definately a fun way to blow your free time. If you're looking for the next great award winning master piece though, don't look here.
OMG this game kicks so much a$$

I just finished the first "Act", and I am soooo hooked already! I am losing sleep on a regular basis just to play this awesome game. Not since Freedom Force 1 and 2 have I been this excited to play "just one more mission" in a game. Let me just leave it at that, because mere words can't even begin to describe the thrill of playing X-Men Legends 2. I am glad it's available for the PC... why should console kiddies have all the fun? :)
Wow. What a game.

This is the best X-Men, and for that matter best comic book based game I've ever played. It seems to be a hybrid of an action game and an RPG.
You have just about every X-Man or Brotherhood mutant available. They all have cool powers and abilities. It's neat to try different team configurations. I'm and X-Men geek if you can't tell.
The sound, story line, and graphics are great. It's great to have Patrick Stewart as the voice of Xavier, but I wish they could have had other voices from the movies as well. The voices are still great.
It has taken me a while to get used to all of the controls and options, but I like that in a game. It makes me feel more involved.
This game is a must have.
X-Men Legends 2 is awesome!

The in game cinema's are of incredible quality, the interaction between characters follows their personality well (having Sabertooth and Wolverine in the same party will lead to some friction, where Gambit and Rogue will look after each other it they get hurt, etc)
I haven't read most of the comics, and I know there are continuity "errors", but that will happen with so many authors of so many comics. This is worth a try by any fan of X-Men!!!
Biggest bonus, getting to fight baddies like Mr Sinister, Abyss, and Apocalypse himself!!!
Fun if you can play it, but buggy.

First off, if you get the Alchemy error when you start up the computer, just ignore it, it'll hassle you every time you start the game, but seems like only that first time. You may also get screw video resolution which makes the game unplayable, yuck. This is even if you meet/exceed all the requirements.
Assuming you can play it, it's a very nice semi-Diablo clone. The enemies are great, though the Sentinals are handled really poorly in my opinion with the stupid timed level. All in all, a decent game, again if you can use it.
fun game

Has lot's of character to choose from and can switch at any time at x-light mark and portal to station, play as 4 character, lots of voices maybe more and less reading sometimes though some villain might say something unpleasent so skit through it,... For more fun game play, I think this game should not called on clothing and armor and having to pick=up chains to buy stuff and character power upgrade... because they are super human so clothing and armor are should just be for appearance, if they loose the clothing and gear the powers and defense points totally decrease which make this game not a true X-Man yet and having to buy potions and power refills, though later with skill increase power increase regenerate which is great, all buying and selling should be left out of the game for more fun game play!!! Later when u beat the apocolips u know that he depends on devices to power him which makes for his weakness... I think option for 1 on 1 combant in vs mode dual for multiplay online will keep this game a continous play for years, though there is a cooperative team game play multiplay online, though game server should be with this game for easy search of online gamer!
