This game is awesome! The story line is intriguing, the game play is intuitive and the voice acting is top notch! Even Patrick Stewart supplies the voice of Professor X! There are a lot of cool parts to the game especially when you encounter a flashback as the X-men have their original comic book costumes in the flashback and they look great!
Get this game and you will not be dissapointed.
great!

The graphics might not be the best around on Xbox, but they have a comic book look to them that is great. You can play as 15 classic X-men characters and upgrade them as the game goes along. You can interact with almost everything on the screen by either picking up things or smashing them to bits. If your a fan of X-men this one is worth buying, if not, at least rent it.
Diablo...with x-men.

You begin the game as wolverine. You are then later joined by Cyclops. You will gain levels and experience just as you would in any other game. Kill a thing, get some XP. You know the drill. Each time you level up you get experience points that you can distribute any way you please. By near the middle of the game you will have unlocked all 14 xmen. It's clean enough for children, and challenging enough for adults. The game is also a four player co-op, with easy join in and leaving fuction. Just press start on another controller. And leaving the game is almost just as easy, while other players can continue the experience. There is also the danger room which allows you pit your powers against a buddy or the computer.

This has to be the best X-Men game of all time. With up to 15 characters, that are all upgradable, how could you go wrong. Not to mention that the co-op mode with some friends is the best aspect of the game, this game is so much fun!!! This is the X-Men game we've been waiting for for a long time. So go pick it up because this game will not dissapoint.
X-cellent!

Best X-men game ever. All your favorites are here and then some. This is a brilliant action/RPG that plays like Sudeki if Sudeki was made up of hour-long battles and featured 15 playable characters that you can switch in and out of the action as the situation dictates. You get to assemble teams of four x-men at a time and tackle such notable villains as the Morlocks, Pyro, Blob, Mystique, Shadow King (yes, you do get to travel to the astral plane), Sabretooth, Havok, Juggernaut, and many, many more. Your four x-men of choice are highly upgradeable and each have at least four immediately helpful uses for their unique powers. Flyers can fly (and can be upgraded to carry teammates over gaps), powerhouses (Rogue and Collossus for example) send enemies flying offscreen and even toss Wolverine into enemies, Emma Frost can turn enemies against each other, Magma and Iceman can build bridges, Wolverine heals himself, Storm's whirlwinds suck up enemies and debris, Gambit and Jubilee can charge outside objects with energy and chuck them to explode in the midst of your foes, the possibilities are awesome. You can also pull some wicked power combos by combining any two special attacks by any two X-men. For example: Cyclops' optic blast + Wolverine's claw flurry = optic assault. This is everything an X-fan could ever hope for. In between levels, you get to explore the X-mansion as newcomer Magma and learn about your fellow heroes through conversation with them and by snooping about their rooms for cool stuff about their personal lives. You can also access the Danger Room and unlock all kinds of other cool features as you progress through the game. The only possible problems with the game is the graphics, which are appropriately comic-like,but not terribly detailed and the fact that not all of the dialogue is spoken. Some of it is and some isn't. It kind of takes you out of the game when a line of dialogue pops up and you don't hear the character's voice; but that's a pretty minor complaint. Other then these gripes, the game is utterly perfect and I can easily recommend this as another in a growing collection of nearly flawless xbox RPG's.
Too easy and too short

Gameplay is cool, but the game is a little on the easy side and way too short. It makes a better rental.
Like Diablo, Only With X-Men Instead!!

This game absolutly rocks!! The best xmen game yet!! You all remember the old Xmen games from way back in the day? This one blows them all away and then some. With 15 Xmen to choose from including, Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Iceman, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Gambit, Jubilee, Rogue, White Queen and Magma. The combos you can pull off are incredible. Mix Storm's Lightning Attack with Iceman's Ice Beam : Electric Freeze! The upgrade system is quite easy to use, making your characters any way you desire. If your Xmen's power has more to do with throwing badguys off the roof or uppercutting them across the screen like Colossus or Rogue, build their Strength. Or if your character's mutant abilty is more energy based, like Gambit, Cyclops or Storms build up their Energy. The game pretty much revolves around your core mutant abilities but at the same time you have other abilities you can use which function at all times. Cyclops for instance has the Leadership ability which raises the parties defense and evasion whenever he is on screen. Excellent story line, great graphics and the killer sound quality which, in my opinion, are all utlized best by playing on an XBOX. LOL
The best X-Men offering ever

The title of best X-Men video game ever isn't saying much - past efforts have bordered on criminal. However, Legends offers a fresh spin on the comic book genre by placing it in an RPG format. With a total of 15 playable characters and the ability to control a party of 4 at any given time (except for the first stage in which you start with Wolverine), the game offers a high level of variety which creates high replay value. Some of the pros and cons are:
Pros:
Many playable characters
Control any one of the 4 members of your current party
Good combat and experience system
Excellent story reminiscent of traditional x-men comics
Cons:
Mediocre graphics and sound
Must unlock certain characters as the game progresses
This game took me about 20 hours to complete. The level designs are long, but there are save points along the way where you can save and change your party if you want. Playing the game through a second time is an option not only because of the number of characters, but you can pour experience points into various skills, essentially changing the same character each time you play.
If you are a fan of the X-Men, you will love this game. It is well worth the price tag.
