Boring at best!!!

Boring game... I don't know what fun anyone could get from this game. You have to set up your character with certain characteristics or you can't get him/her to do anything; and then it is difficult to get anything done. The most frustrating part was trying to the the character to do some activity that would get them to advance and they shake their head saing they are not in the mood. You can't ever get started doing anything for having to coninuously go to the bathroom and before you know it you it's time to sleep, and you fall down where ever you are. The characters constant whining is very annoying. I wouldn't buy it.

This was my first experience into the Sims world, and I was extremely disappointed. I bought the game for Xbox knowing it would probably have superior graphics and easier controls, which it did. Those two points were its redeeming qualities. Everything else about the game was horrid. There was absolutely NO entertainment value in controlling a few 'Sims', being responsible for their basic needs (ie. feeding them, washing them, making them use the bathroom, telling them to play or go to work. It was ridiculous. I do not see what can be so addicting about a game with such a limited scope; especially a game that does not allow one to really escape the pressures of everyday life, which in my opinion is what a game should be.

After wasting several hours and completing all but one level of the 'get a life' scenario, I decided that I already have a life and don't need a video game to reiterrate the sometimes embarrasing, sometimes funny parts of my life. Don't waste your time or your money. I got my money back.

NOT

Get Sims Bustin Out. It's the same thing but has better graphics and places to go. This version gets old fast. The censorship is one rediculous huge square that covers most of their entire body. The graphics and skins are poor.
Get Bustin' Out instead.

I got it for PS2

I have PS2 and Xbox and I am assuming the two games are if not the same very similar. If you have never played the Sims before I guess I would suggest buying this. Its confusing at first but a little addictive. But like me, if you have had the Sims for P.C. dont even bother. Its harder to build/buy/live on a console and its definitely not as good as Hot Date or Sims Vacation.

Now That I Sold My Copy I Can Be Honest....Very Tedious!...

I didn't like this game at all. I'll start with the few things I did like about it. I enjoyed creating my character and the graphics are great. As far as game play goes...very disappointing.

There is nothing fun about constantly cleaning up the mess you or your mom make, going to the bathroom, not having a skill to get a job, but then being too depressed to read a book to gain a skill. Urgggghhhh.....

There are so many boring things to do and by the time you might get to the fun stuff your character faints on you and the day is over.

People are always knocking Animal Crossing for Gamecube, but that game gives you more FREEDOM to do fun things in a reasonable amount of time.

If you enjoy monotonous games then the Sims is the game for you!

Fun But too Slow

Let me start to tell you about the GOOD and the BAD. This game is fun for the most part like customizing your sims home and making the ultimate dream home. There are tons of different items for your home to choose from.
Many things in this game are good but then it gets bad.

The timing in this game is horrible it takes them like 10 minutes to walk to the bathroom and take a dump. A carpool comes every morning to pick these losers up for work, and the idiots usually take forever to get ready and alot of the time the morons miss the ride! The second time you miss it you get FIRED!!!. The controls are okay.(Rent this dumb game before you buy it!)

If you want an really action-packed game get Halo.

Fun For A While

This is an extremely clever, interesting, and entertaining game which I found enjoyable for a while but then found the following to be quite disappointing:
1. It takes the Sims about 15 minutes to walk across their very small living room.
2. ...they could have spoken a real laguage.
3. Why in the world did I waste all of that time getting my Sim the ultimate job when She couldn't have the ultimate house? Is there a logical explanation as to why you have a cap on how much your house can be worth because I don't get it.

What a Disappointment

After getting hooked on this game by my sixteen year old son, it took me about three weeks to pretty much master it. Imagine my dissappoinment when, after learning most of the tricks to keep my sim healthy, happy, fit, rich and employed ... I find that there's a limit to how much you can spend... no matter how much money you have!!! Highly annoying. It doesn't matter whether you get the money by cheating or buy working hard. no matter if you have just one sim working or four... you still get a set amount of things you can buy. I've now dropped the game out of disinterest.

The SIMS

This game was not as fun as the newer version (SIMS 2). It was a lot harder to understand, but it was okay for those that have the time to read cheat codes to find out how to operate the SIMS. I rate this a C-

A much better game than I expected

When my little sister first got this game, I thought it would be like any other Sims game I played. Play it then get bored in 10 minutes. You see, I never really fell in love with the PC Sims game. Maybe it was because of the snail-slow loading times, maybe something else. But I am highly suprised with this game.

PROS: 1. The Sims are on XBOX!

2. Some good 2-player mini games

3. The Get a Life mode is a great addition.

4. And the same old Sims goodness (court wife, court neigbors wife, court neighbors daughter, court girlfriend, etc.)

5. and some more extra goodies in between (did I hear Monkey Butler?)

6, you got to earn the original sims mode and other goodies (in the original menu, it only has "Get A Life" mode)

CONS: 1. There is something missing in the graphics, but I cant tell what

2. Controls are hard to understand and frustrating

3. you've played the original sims version before

4. Only has the first 3 sims version on it (so there is no vacation mode, no pets, and no nightlife)

5. the Love Bed is locked when you start the game. THE LOVE BED!!!

6. I HATE DUDLEY LANDGRABB!!! He is so lazy! He doesnt even answer the phone! (calls it "hell's bells")

FINAL VERDICT: Avid Sims fans can sprint to the store to get this one. Casual fans can walk.
