This game is better than the first, and the upgrades are making it better, yet the game and the online games are still different.

I know you'll probabaly not read this, because there's already over 600 reviews already. but, never the less, I'd like to rate this........an A!
There blood, voiolence and everything else, but i'd say this is a good game for ppl 18above. It's not a family game, but People with fear of blood, run away.

Halo 2 is indescribable. The physics and graphics are off the chain. Played it for 3 hours when it came out at midnight... SOOO SICK! If you're alive and you haven't played this game yet you're a failure at life. The story is crazy and the gameplay is even crazier.

so u played the first game and thought it was great and u want to repeat that gaming experience. well forget about it halo 2 is the biggest let down this year. Its game play is slow views are obscured and the story is not fully explained. throughout this game u feel completly helpless as the characters seem 2 lack involvent in the story line and compared 2 the first game play is no longer that 6-8 hours. Although graphics can be inpresive over periods of time u do feel that the game was rushed and because of this u feel let down by bungie.

TRULY.., AWESOME IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD!

THIS GAME IS TRULY AMAZING. THE STORY, GRAPHICS, AI ARE TRULY AMAZING.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST GAME I HAVE PLAYED EVER.

THE AI IS SO CLEVER, IT MAKES YOU THINK YOU ARE PLAYING ANOTHER PERONS.

True- there is a TON of Hype surrounding this game due to Halo 1 selling 5 million plus. Everyone was eagerly anticipating Nov.9 so they can spend their 50$ or 55$ on it. Bungie studios & microsoft are gonna make some HUGE profits from the sales! Some people stood in line for hours until after midnight to get this game. I am not one of them. Why not?...I will instead wait to hear all the reviews of the game first to make sure it's as good as all the marketing hype claims it is. I'm not one of the millions of sheep that stand in line or preorder the game just because it's coming out. The game isn't going anywhere and the price will only drop, people act like it's only being sold on Nov.9 ! What's the sense in rushing to get a game that could possibly have bugs or simply isn't as good or better than the original?
I'm a patient guy, call me when it's 20$ or 25$, then I'll consider buying.

ok don't be mislead by the mag reviews the games single player
is as dull as a rock the problem is the levels drag on and on

-best split screen action(I don't have XboX live)
-some of the most action packed moments in gaming arein this

Cons
-no story(not that the first one had one either)
-holding 2 guns is busted
-master chiefs one liners
-master chiefs one liners
-MASTER CHIEFS ONE LINERS
-when you play as the covenant(the dullest part of game)
-downgraded my favorite guns(any gun desides alien guns)

This is the best game for this gen of games. It really shines in multiplayer and is the best online console game ever. Halo 2 is a based on Halo but with new storyline, weapons, levels, and graphics. Oh boy! The graphics. They are the best graphics I've ever seen on a console. This is partly because Halo 2 uses something called "Bumpmapping". Which has never been used before except for Halo. Giving an unique and awesome look. The gameplay is awesome. Some of the bad reviews are simply because Halo 2 was so hyped they could have released God in a box and people would still give it a bad review. People look for bad things instead of seeing all the good things. Overall, a perfect game that everyone that likes gaming what-so-ever should have.

Better than the first Halo, but Halo 1 DOES have some better options in some parts of Halo 2.

Halo 2 is the sequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. Once again, the Master Chief has to fight the Covenant once again. Except that the Covenant attacks Earth! The Master Chief discovers that there is another Halo out there and you know what he and the marines gotta do: Destroy it before it's weapon destroys the galaxy! Also, there is an interesting multiplayer option in which you can fight with your buddies offline, or on Xbox Live.

Violence: Once again, Halo 2 has it's fighting scenes, except there are new weapons as well as old weapons. Everytime you kill something (aliens), blood usually comes out. One neat twist in Halo 2 is that you can play an alien known as the Arbitor, who has to don his armor as a task for failing to take Halo from the marines. Now here is how it gets its Gore rating: The Flood is back on duty and their goal is to eat all life. The Flood is really a pack of zombified creatures and when you shoot them or kill them, their arms come out. They don't get chopped in half though.

Swearing: I only counted 8 swear words in the game. It isn't much of a concern but it does ruin a good experience though. I am not too sure if Microsoft had filters for the Xbox live but there isn't any swearing in the Multiplayer though.

Occult/Satanism: None

Jokes/humor: Nothing too crude about the jokes. During combat, marines will crack up a joke once in a while (my favorite was "You make my mother-in-law look attractive). I just laughed at that phraise since I think his mother-in-law isn't pretty.

Conclusion: Halo 2 is an interesting game: The Multiplayer is great/ same with the campaign! But this isn't the sort of game for young players. I think the M rating system is good, but Halo 2 isn't too explict. I wouldn't recommend this under 17, unless the teenager is mature for his age.
