great jungle fighting

What a great game. The graphics is tight. There were no boring levels, no moments of bordom what so ever in this game. It's like a giant adrenaline rush when playing it, from levels of war's raging between soldier's and mutations/Trigen's armed with rocket launcher's and Assault Riffle's

This game is pretty good, great graphics, pretty good sound, and the environments are awesome. But I think if there were more guns than the game would be more fun.

Jack Carver is one of the coolest character i have played in a video-game Not the CollEST but one of them and they conclude of:Solid Snake(MGS),,Big Boss(MGS-old and young),Mario,JACK CARVER and lots of others.
Howcome Carver has GOLD eyes?

Personaly in my opinion i think Far Cry is better than HALO 2-Yes HALO was good,But not goodenough the fulfil the OverHype.Def.My faverite XBox game,while on PS2 at the moment it is Metal Gear 3:Snake Eater,and on GameCube Resident Evil 4 and maybe MGS:TTS.

XBox has lots of ONLINE games-FPS Shooter being the main one.What i want improved for Far Cry is Third Person View-Don`t get me wrong i love FPS`ing around-But i like looking at my character,plus this would add in good Stealth Element-No i don`t mean it to turn into a sudden "Stealth Action" game-But maybe add in Metal Gear elements in it-Y`know what i mean,i don`t mean CB Boxes,or camo uniforms-thats Too LIKE MGS,things like climbing trees,or stalking-I STILL WANT FAR CRY TO KEEP FPS MODE THOUGH!but just add in some Third Person View-that will heavily support stealth-shooting in TP is quite jerky anyway-Thank goodness for FPS mode in MGS!

Unluckely for me i don`t have XBOX LIVE-I have PS2 OnLine-and i know the LIVE is better,But i don`t want to pay subscriptions charges,So i don`t really get experience LIVE in XBox which is where the sweet juice is in of these games-But Far Cry was fun WITHOUT it.

A Good FPS for the Xbox

My experience with Far Cry Instincts was an enjoyable one, but unfortunately was based off a review in the official xbox magazine that was somewhat misleading.

For example it listed total gameplay time as between 20-30 hours. I was shocked when I reached the end of the game and it had only been 14 (counting probably an hour worth of reloading against bosses).

The Feral Powers while novel were usually more trouble to use than not. Headshots were so easy that I only used the Feral Attack when the game takes away your weapons in two levels. And then only enough to get a single weapon. With the exception of regeneration of health and one instance where I used the Feral Speed ability, the powers were mostly redundant. Scent tracking and night vision were unnessecary since the radar is uncannily accurate and the lighting never dims even in underground levels.

With the exception of the first major boss and the last, the difficulty seemed a bit light since most enemies dropped with only a shot or two to the head. In some ways I liked that realism, since the enemies' body armor absorbs a lot of abuse, but their head doesn't, but at the same time it left me feeling unchallenged until the final battle.

And to clarify, I'm not a FPS prodigy. My only Xbox FPS experience up until this point has been Halo 1 singleplayer, where headshots are pretty much imaginary, so I know Far Cry must be easy in general.

But while I do regret paying full price for Far Cry, I don't regret owning it. Its graphics are vivid and colorful, its music very thematic of its jungle environs, its low key humor and foreshadowing in the form of overheard conversations between enemies and radio programs a very nice touch and the controls are extremely fluid and responsive.

I would recommend Far Cry Instincts for the FPS gamer who wants to play a fine example of their genre. But don't get in a big hurry to grab a copy.

Despite amazing graphics, this game has a really stupid story and its very linear. I just find it boring. Just save your money and buy America's Army.

Ok the single player is great with sweet tropical island graphics and make your own tropical island in map editor which could have been way better. Ok get this , If your signed off when you make a map you cant share that map online ever not even when you sign on, you have to be signed on while making a map to share it with other people. The online play sux. Thats wear the gameplay goes down. Horrible servers with many stupid people on the game. finding a room without a stupid annoying trash talking person in it is like winning the lottery. Unfairness rules over this game so you constantly are running into people with duel guns and you only have one. If you get annoyed by snipeing stay far far away cause you will get a lot of that. Everytime you leave a room you have to resign in which takes a bit and gets annoying. If you want a game worthwhile trade in farcry for battlefield 2. Thats what i did. even though i only got 25 bucks for farcry when i paid 50 id rather get rid of that piece of junk. this game has very bad online support

Far Cry are much better than HALO.HALO is the type of game that would blow 5-10 year olds away-But i`m 13 and i look for more realistic stuff on my XBox,PS2 and GCN(yes i have them all).
I look for games like(*Long List*)Medal Of Honor,Call Of Duty,Brothers In Arms,Rainbow six,SOCOM,Ghost Recon,ShellShock:Nam 67 and so on.I like fantsy games every now and again,i also like half-fantasy,half realistic games like Metal Gear Solid,which does not have silly futuristic guns like a giant electro magnetic,this and that gun HALO uses-But does have giant Robotic dinosaurs made by the Military,and RARELY Supernatural bad-guys.I don`t like Metroid Prime,Turok either.
I am just one of these people who cannot stand 100% FANTASY-FANTASY games-only realistic or half fantsies(like Metal gear).
HALO and Metroid Prime are good games-But not the best for me-MAYBE for you-but not for me!

is what Far Cry:Insticts is.
HALO2:for the supern FPS style gameplay.
MGS3:The rural jungle,not to mention supernatural stuff and the "Rambo" esque is also tinted in the game i think.
SC:well both are made by UbiSoft-except Tom Clancy id nothing to do with FC:I-the stealth can be y`know like SC.
I wou;d relate it to MGS3 best-Its better than MGS3,but is still think MGS3 is great.MGS3 and FC:I are the only games i know that are set in the jungle as a one-man-army type thing,games like ghost Recon are smetimes set in the jungle but they are squad shootas.
But NEWAYS bye.

This game rocks!!!! I love this game!! The Map Editor is the best feture in the game! The game play is good. The Graphics? Okay.

When I rented this game for my birthday party, I fell in love with the map editor. It's simply the best of anything I've seen before. There are a few set-backs, though.

Pros:
Great, in-depth map editor.
Good graphics.
Amazing assortment of weapons and vehicles.
Fun Xbox live.

Cons:
Difficult 1st-person driving.
Grenades aren't helpful even in multi-player.
Unrealistic weapon damage on enemies (I now see the reason behind having a 15-shot pistol)
A very, very long unskippable opening sequence.
Music is REALLY LOUD in single player. I don't see why it needs to be, either.

Definitely a buy, if you're a fan of 1st person games (you aren't in 3rd-person ever).
