This is a very fun game at first, till you realise about 12hrs later that you pretty much done everything this game has to offer and about to beat it too.I figured when i started this game that your alignment would change greatly depended on the decisions that you made in guests and dealings within the town.exp your given the option to kill your childhood friend for a reward at teh arena or forfeit in either way you get very little alignment points whichever your choose. And not to mention you find out later down the road its very easy to become a sinister madman from a holy law abiting citzensen simply from beating the hell out of your wife.Aside from that guests are rather thoughtout and fun, combat is very easy to pick up and rather fun too, good graphics, nice sound and decent story. The only things that i really have a problem with is your alignment is not set its too easy to simply change it,its way to short cant believe i went from being 6 to 60 in 10hrs.Even with that said this is truly a wonderful game to buy even though its a bit short so much to do it you get into it.
Best - RPG - EVER! (Well, sort of)

Yes, this game is great, it's a very fun and addictive game. That pretty much covers it, it's almost perfect, but, there are some things missing. The game changes a lot as you progress, but things don't change unless YOU change them, making it feel shallow. Plus, the Main Quest is really, really short, and the story is pretty boring until a certain way into the game, but once it gets to that point, it rocks even more, after all, what RPG besides The Sims lets you get married and have sex? The combat in this game is also very impressive, whether you choose to fight with close ranged weapons such as swords, axes, maces, or hammers, or go with the bow or crossbow, or even magic, it is always a very fun time. The ability to make yourself fat and un-physically fit is kind of fun too, even get drunk and throw up all over the place... But the game is a fun RPG to play, and the choces you make decide whether you are evil, or good, and it's not like the obvious "be good" or "be bad" things in Knights of the Old Republic, which people also said being good was tedious, the choices are much more you that decide the good or bad of your character. I definitely reccomend this game, pick it up if you ever have the means, or rent it, the game is short enough to rent, but too much fun to not just buy it, I hope people buy this game, it is revolutionary, like Morrowind and Zelda combined with an "M" rated twist.

What do I think of this game? I don't know since Amazon hasn't shipped it to me yet. What's the point of pre-ordering a game if it doesn't get shipped when it is released? Forget Amazon, I cancelled my order and I won't pre-order anything from these guys again.
No fun if you can't play it!

Why did I preorder this game? I thought, incorrectly that it would ship when it was released. Silly me it still has not been shipped. Guess they already have my money so why hurry? I wont ever shop here again unless some sort of fair recompense is made. Its 9/20 and amazon says it has shipped but according to UPS it still has not shipped just more lying they do respond quickly to my email the only problem is the are not telling the truth!

After spending most of last night playing this, and a lot of today i might add. I have to say that the Xbox consoll has on themselves a true gameing gem. "Fable" is without a doubt one of the most enjoyable and entertaining games I have played in a very long time. With a wide variety of things to do and a story line that is very entertaining, you almost cant go wrong with Fable. The ONLY knock I have at Fable is that the main story of the game will only take you about 10 hours to complete, but the side quests and things to do will keep you playing this game for a long time trust me. If you are even considering the idea of purchasing this game, then you should buy it you will not be disapointed.

Fable has quickly become one of the must have titles on X-Box. The degree of beauty and detail makes for a fun play. Character customization and quest completions create a unique experience. You have to play this game more then once to completly embrace all Fable has to offer.

you prolly thought I would go on and on about how Peter Molenuxs and Lionhead Ltd. have made another masterpeice, well, think again. this game waws supposed to be the GOTY for 2004, Halo 2 included, but, nope, Peter snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, again. Peter, the choice to be good or evil has only worked once, and that was KOTOR, now, stop trying, go away, and stop maknig me waste 49.99 + S&H on crappy video games...
Gameplay 3/5
The ga,eplay is alright, except its to D*mn short for it to be fun, i'll admit the ability to be scarred by your enemys attacks is awsome, and so it the effect good and evil has on you apperance, but well, who really wants to look like a brutally scarred individual after being tortured for 2 to 3 years?!?!? not me buddy, not me. also, combat was to D*mn easy, i got time slow Lv 1 and enflame Lv 1, and boom! I won the game, i beat the last boss without taking any damage by rolling around the outside of the area and casting Lv 1 lightning for 10 minutes... big whoop.
Graphics 5/5
A VISUAL master piece...
Sound 4/5
ok, the sound really set the mood, and was excellant, but it still was very repetative, and could ya make it vibrant enough to be heard and noticed, like the ocarania of time theme song? i'm contantly spontaiously whistling that tune.
Replay value 3/5
maybe two or three play thrus before it gets old
Overall 3/5
Bah, to short, they promised lots of things they didn't give, like "Lead your own life?" pfffftttt as if... EXTREAMLY LINEAR GAME! but good for one play thru if you don't mind the mind numbing easiness of the whole game...

This game passed at least 3 deadlines, released years after it was supposed to come out. For having so much time to complete this game, Lionhead and Co. really put out a small game. I was expecting a Morrowind size game with better graphics, better battle system, etc. What I got was a game with fantastic real-time fighting, great character growth system, disappointing size, wonderful graphics, and a blonde wimp with a halo and butterflies at the end of the game(-.-). Anyway, this game has a few bugs, Ive talked to some people who have experienced problems with the game not recognizing the controller. This may fix itself or it may never work again. If it stops working DONT BUY A NEW ONE. The bug will transfer to the new disc. If you have about 10 hours to kill, go for it. Its a wonderful time killer and is good to replay but most of the missions are very similar unless you completely switch alignment. Also take into consideration that I had a preorder on this game for a year+ so it could just be me being bitter, but this was disappointing for being so highly anticipated.
Can't WAIT!!!!!!!

I'm a moderate gamer, and normally I don't get too excited over upcoming releases (the Grand Theft Auto series excepted), but when my boyfriend got his new XBox Magazine complete with preview of Fable, I was blown away! This truly looks to be one of the most complex, fun games ever created. You start out as a young boy, and live out your life from that point on. You are constantly confronted with choices, and every decision you make, no matter how big or small, affects what will happen to you later in the game (ex.- battle scars stay with you for life, or characters you have done wrong to could try to kill you). You are either revered or despised by the AI characters in the game, and you alone are responsible for how others see you. While you're out on missions, people back home are going about their lives in real time. You can get married and have children, who could grow up in your absences. Like any other RPG, there's plenty of skill building and fighting, but what really seems to set this game apart is the level of detail that went into the scenery, the AI, and the real-time progression of events. Not to mention the variety of outcomes based on your choices. This is probably the first game I've ever heard of that you could play over and over without the exact same thing happening twice. If the game is as good as the hype, it'll be well worth the $49.99. A definite must-buy!

I really enjoyed playing and beating Fable. It was a little shorter than I expected, but there was a lot more stuff that I could have done. Graphics were good, music was great, story line was superb. I would reccomend buyting this game, because you will enjoy playing it to it's completion.
