This game is not ready for the shelves!

Summary: Don't buy into the [material] put on by advertisers of this game. This game is BAD. The only selling point is the cutscenes. ...

Pros:
1. Cutscenes. There are numerous cutscenes with Naiobi, Ghost, and Sparks that fill in some areas of the movie. Nothing's really crucial to the movie here, just a small, hollow love plot and explanation how the nuke plant blows up. These scenes most likely ended up on the cutting room floor (of the movie) because they would have jilted the pace of the movie and lead people into all kinds of directions not really critical to the plot.
There is a preview of Matrix 3 at the end, but you can catch this by watching the preview after the credits of the movie.
Cons:
1. This game is buggy to the point of humorous. (...)
2. Controls are pittiful. PLEASE heed this warning and do not believe what others might say. Rent it and find out for yourself.
3. Too many places where gameplay suddenly stops. I'd be playing along and all of a sudden it goes to a cutscene in an unknown location and the characters are doing something unrealted to what I had been doing. It's obvious these guys slapped together this game in a hurry.
4. Maps are uninspired, boring, and repetitive. I was praying for the end to the "Tunnels of the Real." (BTW there are major bugs in this section - the gunsights were useless (just point the gun at about the center of the screen) and the bomb at the end just baffled me. Just plain stupid and very bad programming.
5. Enemies are pathetically stupid. Killing off bosses was a cinch. In most cases, they can be beaten on the first attempt.
6. Graphics are poor. Very poor.
7. Not realistic. I watched MTV [pushed] the efforts at making this the most realistic game ever in an hour-long special. Don't buy into the hype machine. Just watch the characters run and you'll believe me. There isn't anything realistic about these characters movements.

The Good:
-Special Movie footage.
-Gives you something to do while waiting for your clothes to dry.
-Ummm, Niobi has a Camaro.

The Bad:
-What part of this game hasn't been done before?
-I beat the game on hard in a couple of days!
-The driving missions are horrible!
-The hover-craft mission is beyond horrible!
-The game was obviously rushed out the door to cash in on a franchise.

The Ugly:
-PS2 graphics! No where near Xbox standards.
-Niobi's hair-doo.

enter the matrix, what can you say? the game was awesome and exciting. i couldnt believe the way the game was put together. i did have one problem with the game, the ending was not so good.
it had seemed, like there is a part two. but the overall game was fun and exciting to play. i am going to play again, but this time as ghost and not niobi. those who dont, need to try and see what me and others are talking about!

This game is awesome at first then it gets old in 10 days. The graphics are average and people say that graphics doesn't make a good game, it does help if there good and all the glitches makes this game annoying.

This game truly has some of the best graphics in a video game. The characters actually look real. Now look, i'm not a huge fan of the Matrix series. I like them, i'm just not that big a fan. But I bought this game cause it looked pretty cool and it was cheap and it was awesome. My only complaints are the last two levels where you drive around in that thing and shoot those electric squid things and then the cheesy ending which sets up the film "The Matrix Revolutions". But anyway, I played as Niobe and the character looks real, they sound real. The shooting looks real and the focus thing is really cool. The game however is relatively easy, I beat it in less than a week and I suck at video games. But this game is really fun and I highly recommend it. A-.

5 stars for fun because seriously... snapping necks in slow motion wiht niobe will never get boring. This part of the game is so ridiculously awesome but the rest of the game drops it down to 3 stars. story line is very boring and levels get repetitive, also the character models are great but enviromental graphics lack the punch. I felt like I had to complete each level in less than 2 minutes the game was so hectic (which could also be a pro at times to some people). there really isnt anything special about this video game but staking vampire in slow mo is unbelievable so my advice to people is to rent this game and by the time its time to return it you will have had you fare share of breaking faces

Someone got me this as a birthday present - and I'm glad I didn't spend the money on it myself. If you REALLY REALLY like the Matrix, I'm sure you will enjoy the game, but it is pretty easy and the plot line is almost non-existant. Some of the slow motion moves are fun - but they get old after awhile.
Bottom line... save your money for something better.

This game is really only "OK." It can at times be a lot of fun, especially to execute moves in bullet time, but the game play can also drag on, and get a little absurd (the car chasing stuff for example.) What s really cool about this game is how well the story weaves in an out of Reloaded. The feel is straight up "Matrix" and you get let in on a lot of neet little charachter moments you don't see in the film (especially Persephone & the Oracles interactions with the two player characters.) there are a few scenes in Reloaded that actually seem to have a different feel to them when you see the actions taken in this game (especially regarding Niobe's relationships.) Additionaly the hacking is alot of fun - especially for peole who actually used to work in DOS.

But the biggest down side is that it is really short. I finished the game in a weekend - and I am not a serious "gamer" - for reference it took me over a month of on and off playing to finish Splinter Cell, about a week to finish the first Buffy, and about 8 days to finish KOTOR. Because of that, I would seriously recomend that people who play alot just consider renting this game - you will probably easily finish it.

this game is definetely enjoyable! i like the matrix films. and the good thing about this game is that you can do most of the acrobatic slow-mo moves in this game to kick agents. the hacking feature is very enjoyable and creative too i think. that type of thing has never been seen in another game before. the plot is also great it goes well with both reloaded and the final flight of osiris. i recommend this game to any matrix fan. BUY IT!
