I had no problems with StarForce. The game ran fine on my X850XT, and it had great (some of the best I've heard in a game) voice acting. The story was ok, but the missions made up for it. The controls were a little odd at first.
If you've exhausted the Hitman series and are looking for something more or less similar, go for this.

It is a great game for adults (for you liberals out there that means over 18 and out of mommy and daddy's house).

I found the controls on the keyboard to be a less responsive than other games like Half Life 2 and Aliens -2- Predators, but interesting so far and I like the story line.

Mainly Im reviewing thing because HOTSHOT Reviewed it and gave it 5 stars... before it was released... so i felt like giving it some balance... as to why i might buy this game... Multiplayer... I loved the second ones multiplayer.. and this one has Co-op.. and you just cant go wrong with co-op.. no matter how much the game sucks... Ive never played the game.. wasnt out when i wrote this review...... this one right here.. (vVvVv Down there vVvVv)
Who really cares about graphics with a game like this, anyone who cares knows what they want, and knows they arnt gonna get it with this. The first splintercell game, in my opinion, sucked, the AI was so lame, and badly programmed. The second one sucked to, accept the multiplayer which was a great addition and innovative new way to play with friends at LAN parties... but the second one had so many problems, i hate Ubisoft... sooo.. I just hope this game doesn't suck so much.. and im reviewing this to try and counter HotShots review of the game before it came out... cause that's just lame dude.. lame..

This is the third game in the Splinter Cell series, and easily the best. Taking place in 2008, you once again play as secret agent Sam Fisher, with the task of eliminating the new threat of global information warfare.
I played this on my inpiron 8600 laptop and the graphics, sound and speed are topnotch. There were some slowdowns but they were few and far between. The music really flows with the action and the detail is amazing. It is easy to see the team at ubisoft montreal took their time to perfect stealth movement and actions to make them realistic as possible.
This is a game worth adding to your collection.

One word. Stunning. The range of motion of Sam Fisher is like playing an olympic gymnast/biathlete with no compunction. The graphics are sharp and clear and the PC AI is good; they are smart enough to take cover under fire, regroup, and notice noises and out-of-place objects (open doors, broken lights, etc.) The positional audio is above par, it gives you a real idea of the range of your victims and allows you to time your stalk with their footfalls and your strikes with ambient noises (lightning, machines, etc.) and will scare the crap out of you with hidden enemies if you aren't paying attention. Even the night vision is fuzzy (sucks, like in real-life, you dont use it unless you have to...), but its better than pitch darkness. I am playing this on a laptop with a Core 2 Duo 2GHz, 1GB of PC5400 RAM, and an ATI X1300 with 256MB of memory connected to a projector (120" viewable, yes 120, I am unhinged by the clarity) at 1280X800 and would not want to play this game with anything less. You can see the rain drip and rivulet down Sam's rubber SEAL suit on the highest settings! Sam is so quiet I am trying to play through without drawing a firearm.
Great game.

This is probably the best Tom Clancy game I have played. I would definitely recommend it.
Just a tip: save the game often (or use quick saves). This prevents much frustration with the game, especially if you are trying to play Stealth mode and get caught after half an hour of progress without saving.

I have no idea how this game is, because I was not sent the version I ordered. I ordered a CD-ROM and received a DVD; I don't have a DVD drive on my computer. Why should I have to buy a new drive because Amazon made an error?
