I hate this game. It's impossible to get extra characters. Coins and trophie makes it even harder.
Pros:
(Almost None)
Cons:
No Sonic or his friends + foes(Big thing. He is my #1 fan)
Dumb caracters
Stupid mini games
gets booring after 1 full battle
Gobbles alot of memory
Waste of money
Now don't buy it. For no reason I have to FORMAT F-O-R-M-A-T MY Memory card. It means to DELETE!!!!!!!!! >_< I didn't even touched the gamecube
Don't buy this worthless piece of crap!
If you have hard work in your memory card, don't spend $30 (Garbage if you ask me) formatting your card.
I had 1 million rings in Sonic DX and IT'S ALL GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUY THIS GAME IF YOU WANNA LOSE YOUR DATA AND PREPARED TO KILL YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, YOU'LL BE ANGRY TO YOURSELF!

For any of us extreme sports fans, this game in a real bust. It couldnt come close to being "Off the heezay." This is so boring, theres nothing to do, its totally rehashed! Now if it was for XBox I might reconsider, they could make a stupid game like this rock the house. If you extreme sports fans want want action, get the hit game of the year, Halo.
No Sonic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and all of the useless crap characters!!!!!! (Revised)

ALL OF THE NINTENDO(NO NEW FROM ANY OTHER CREATERS (I.E Sega)) CHARACTERS SUCK. THEY NEED TO BRING IN MORE IDEAS AND CHARACTERS. ALSO THE COURSES ARE THE SAME!!!!!>_<
P.S The reason I put 1 star is no Sonic. Or else it's a perfect 5/5

After playing the original SSB, i thought it could get no worse. Boy was i wrong. Not only is this game extremely childish and boring, but it requires 0 skill and the entire object of the game is to press buttons as fast as possible. Truely a colossal waste of time. SSB is a waste of money, time, intelligence and anything good in a human being. If you are a fan, i know this is just opinion but please never play anything like this again. Bottom line: Knocking nintendo/baby characters off a platform with boxes, lightsabers and anything else a baby would find "cool." This game simply sucks and i wish this could persuade you not to buy it.
This game is too raw to refuse

Easily one of the most popular games in the Nintendo GameCube library, Super Smash Bros. Melee really delivers.
The starting roster of characters is a healthy improvement over the N64 version's. And as before, a number of extra characters may also be unlocked. When the number of "VS." matches played or the cumulative time of "VS." matches played hits certain milestones, the winner of the match is challenged by the new (computer-controlled) character. Certain single-player accomplishments can also trigger the challenges.
New in this sequel is the ability to charge (hold) smash attacks. This not only makes the attack stronger, but it also gives you more control over the timing of the attack.
Another new maneuver is the forward+B special attack. In addition to the up+B and down+B attacks, the neutral+B and forward+B attacks have been disambiguated. For example, Ness' PK Fire has been reassigned to forward+B, and neutral+B is a different special attack. This can be difficult to adjust to for long-time N64 gamers, but with time old habits can be broken.
It is also possible to dodge in midair now. Something like a midair counterpart to rolling on the ground, this is a quick way to get out of danger.
The new "Event Mode" can be difficult at times. For example, in Event #36, you control Ness and must dispatch five foes in succession. Such tasks should provide a healthy challenge for all but the most skilled of gamers.
Some of the new levels don't seem very well-designed, but this is a minor criticism at worst because level selection is an option. Character balance seems mostly okay, though many complain that Roy and Marth of Fire Emblem fame are overpowered.
Fun for ALMOST all

I couldn't stop playing at first. It didn't blow off my underwear though I wasn't wearing any.I have to admit. It has plenty of modes and is pretty fun. It's cool because you can be many different nintendo characters. If you want a game to be fun forever don't get this game. Now super smash bros. melee brawl is a different story
I Like the N64 Version Better.

I LOVED the N64 version of Super Smash Bros. There were some things I would change, but I could play that for hours and never get bored. I got this game becuase I thought it would be better then the N64 version. In some ways it is but I just can't get into it like I did on the old one. Certain things like "getting trophies" are worthless to me. However you do get to play mini games and there are tons more options on multi-player and items as well. Overall its fine, but its just not something I care for.
