Not for small children

My wife and I bought this game at Wal-Mart when they accidently had it out on display before the release date. When we started playing it when we got home, it terrified our almost two year old daughter. We thought that it would be a fun cartoonish game that she would enjoy watching us play. The first level is swimming away from a large shark who "chomps" at you every few seconds. This made our daughter start to cry almost immediately, and she is not one who scares easily. I also think that it would make my 5 year old nephew cry and have nightmares.

This game is probably great for older kids. I played a few more levels (after my daughter went to bed) and found the play to be rather boring. Older children might enjoy it, though.

I hate how everone says this game makes their little kid cry!!! what do you expect!?!It IS called SHARK tale! and they could've looked at the rating which is E but it has cartoon violence. so if you have a 3-year old who's going to cry about it don't buy it but it! if you are 7 and up i would definitly buy it.

Appropriate themes for younger children

My son loves this game. It isn't so full of murder an mayhem like so many others out there, yet it's fun.

After listening to this dumb game yell "Oh G**" for about 5 minutes I turned it off on the kids and they have never even asked to play it again. I am returning it as soon as I get the chance. The shark chase scared my son (who likes the Hobbit... ie. not easily scared by a game) and all the stupid fish kept yelling was "Oh G**". It maybe could have been a cute game but not worth it for the play and the profanity. If you find that even games are getting offensive language and hate it send a complaint and return it. I have sent the complaint to Dreamworks and will be returning it!!

This game is just awful. I bought this for my 4 year old daughter and on the first level she asked to help her beat the shark. The second level is even worse...she was bored within 10 minutes. Not worth the $50 bucks, not even worth $4.99 video rental!!

this game is the best. you can do anything throw a house party go on missions and even race. if you want a game thats perfect this is it(but madagascar is way better) this game is cool. dont listen to others.

do not buy this game i mean when i played it i started crying i was so mad i tore the game up ( of course i got in trouble)i went crazy man i starting punching everything in the house the mirror broke the tv fell and of course broke

This game is simply a nightmare. If somebody could get through the game, I'm impressed. Especially the dancing stages. This game was a COMPLETE waste of $50.
