Great Game. Better than the first.

This game is a great game. You can customize your car in many different ways (custom gauges, engine and trunk neon, hydralics, doors, split hoods, spinning rims, new bumpers and lights, you can change your car's light color, new cars, new vinyl, SUVs [Escalades, Navigators, and Hummers H2], etc.). It's a free roaming city and you discover hidden shops to get secret parts. Also there are new modes. In Street X, you go on a drift track but you race on it so corners are real tight. In URL, you go in a race track with no traffic and the reward is high (depending on your sponsor/contract). In outrun, you find a race car roaming around and challenge him to an outrun. You must get 1000 feet away from your opponent (it's really not that far. it's like 2-4 blocks). Also, you choose what races you want to race (unless you are required to in your sponsorship contract and you must do so many races in your contract.) And there are many chances to get on a magazine or DVD cover. Also, you take your own picture for the cover (most of the time). This game has improved greatly from the first and there is new music from: Snoop Dogg, The Doors, Chingy, Terror Squad, Spider Bait, Queens of the Stone Age, Ministry, and a lot more. I would definately get this game. It's worth the $50 and it will keep you busy for a long time with all the new features. If your not sure about getting the game, rent it first (I did at gamefly.com and it was worth it. I thought it would be like the first game but it was REALLY different).

Even better than the first!

Crazy new cars will be in this sequel to NFSU. More than 30 licensed cars appear in this game. Mittsubishi FTO and EVO VIII, Honda Accord, Mazda RX8, Lexuz Calibra and IS200, Honda NSX...and many more. The game has new game modes. Included is a free-roaming city divided into five neighborhoods. This will be the best racing game of the year. It is scheduled to come out in the fall of 2004. I know ill be getting it. With new cars, new types of performance and visual tune ups, better graphics...this game is expected to be great!

First off don't believe the reviews IGN and Gamespot have given it because I bought the game today and it is so far 100 times better then the first. You can customize pretty much everything from car audio, to hydraulics, neon lights inside the car, trunk and under the vehicle. The paint jobs are now triple of what they were before with hundreds of diffrent paint jobs. You now have a very well setup city with tons of races at all times and there is shops, garages, bonus races and lots more at all times. There are also alot more cars now which make everything more fun and again EA gives us a awsome soundtrack like Terror Squad with Lean Back, and Chingy with I Do, even another bonus exclusive track just for the Need For Speed series. The graphics are not improved but there not terrible with the frame rate running at around 60 and no choppiness it's awsome. The textures are very bad but besides that the car models are amazing. The sound is another really sweet adition with everything having a great sound to it. Every race has been tweaked along with controls, camera angles and much more making everything more fun and exciting to do. Overall I would reccomend Need For Speed Underground 2 over any other racing game and even some other top games of the holidays it was that good. Try it out you'll see just what I mean about being better then what the reviews say.

Ok for need for speed underground it is a great game but nfsu 2 will even be better. Don't bother buying midnight club 2 or grand turismo and most of all SRS. SRS is a waste of money take my word for it. Need for speed underground 2 will have more cars more open roaming area and almost endless customization. There is hydraulix and spinners and a lot more. the game wil have more than 30 cars. some are the Mazda RX8, Hummer H2, Cadillac Escalade, ford mustang GT 2005, and a lot more. in this game game you choose what race you want to do and what do you want to be like a drag racer or a sprint or whatever. You can tune every aspect of your car. So not only can you put on upgrades but you can in a way upgrade your upgrades. so you can fine tune your car. So don't waste your money on other games cause if you do then your not very smart. (...)

I love NFS! More cool music and eye-popping great graphics! And for sandra, music is optional, and none of this suggestive themes either. Fine for 6+. NFS is easy to get used to.

Speed On Again

Electronic Arts have really made a remakrable franchise based upon the well-received Need For Speed series. Since the mid 90's, this racing game series has been one of the most dominant and reality racing game series games of all time. They have honestly made it a huge stride in the world of cars. Yet, the while has been quite a braking effect awhile ago with the Need For Speed Underground series. It had a lackluster reaction than other versions like Hot Pursuit had undergone in the earlier years. Here is pretty much the same as before for racers alike from the earlier speed.

Need For Speed Underground 2, is the sequel to the adequate 2003 Underground. The game and its features are just similar as they were before. The game is set in one entire major city, similar to games like Midtown Madness and the highly successful Midnight Club collection for the Playstation 2 & Xbox. Yet, there are so many well driven and highly delightful cars that really go all out in their speed. The graphics are very well recognized, and the music reallly is full of hard core splice, just like the other Need For Speed games. The control also fares well, with each challenge including the Underground gameplay, and the free roaming race scene.

Still, there are a few disadvantages. One of them is that the game is mainly in one city throughout the numerous courses, other than different landscapes and locations like other Need For Speed games. The second disadvantage is that other than the newest array of automobiles to choose from and unlock, there really isn't much of a challenge for anybody who has mastered the earlier Underground game. Some may consider passing this one up.

All in all, Need For Speed Underground 2 fairs quite well as a racer, but not for all who want to really be fast & madly furious. I suggest you rent this racer, and see if the buzz is in the right court for you. Otherwise, stick with the original.

Need for Speed: Underground 2

Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a great improvement over the first game. It adds many visual options such as scissor doors, split hoods, audio system in the trunk, engine and trunk neon, hydraulics, spinners and carbon-fiber body kits. You will also get to choose sponsors with every new city that you unlock. For each sponsor that you finalize the contract with, the amount of money earned will be increased. There are 3 new racing modes; downhill drift, during which you drift on the road going down-hill WITH traffic on the road. Street X, during which you are on a drift track but you have to race around it instead of drifting. And last, but not least, is URL (Underground Racing League,) where you race on tracks with no traffic and 5 more guys who're pretty good. Also, the URL gives you the biggest amount of money.
The amount of cars in this game has increased GREATLY. There are cars ranging from the Nissan Skyline to the Hummer H2. Also, the cars feel different. For example, if you drive a rear-wheel drive car and then a front-wheel drive car, you'll notice how much more likely it is for the back of the car to spin out.

The free-roaming environment is a GREAT improvement. You will spend a lot of your time just finding things, and they're worth finding. For almost every new shop that you find, you'll unlock something new. The sounds have also improved. Each car's engine sounds different from other cars' engines and much more like the real thing. The graphics haven't improved much, but the other improvements make it a MUST BUY!

This game is the best game. They have a hole new selection cars like Nissans Hondas and so on. I played the demo and it just blown me away. The visuals were upgraded with more costumization and other features such as sterios more neon choices, and the newest eddition to Underground 2 Suv's such as Cadilac lincoln Nissan and many more. Also it's a free roaming city with thousands of places to go. SO IF YOU DON'T BUY THIS GAME...WELL TO BAD!!!!
