Well this game is really awesome. I rented it but still the game is really cool, and there are lots of improvements from the N64 version. I like choosing characters (luigi is hilarious...) and multiplayer is fun. The only thing is that playing against COM is REALLY easy. Like, I was number 1 on that chart (mind you Blockbuster doesn't give instruction booklets.) the very first time I tried. Also another thing is that the camera angles can get so ANNOYING. How do you know if you missed or not if you can't see the hole?

Let me start off by saying this: It's awesome. The controls are noticably easy to use, and the animation is sweet.
The controls are very easy, and you don't have to press a billion buttons to whack the ball. One downside of the controls is putting. If you're 2 inches away from the hole, oftentimes you'll find yourself getting a Double bogey because you have to press the A button within a split-second.
The graphics are incredible. They are finely tuned, and sometimes a flaming ball almost looks like it'll pop out at you.
Gameplay is the best. The courses range from a desert to a beach. Even the sandpits are sometimes sharing space with a Chain Chomp. The mini games range from coin-collecting to near-pin to through the rings.
Don't hesitate to buy this game! You'll stay up endless nights playing a single course. Beware easily frustrated, though.
Loads of fun.

I was hesitant to buy this game but glad i did. Once i got the hang of how to hit the ball and so forht and so on, i am now having a blast with it. I am a fan of mario from back in his nintendo debute. This game is fun because it has the original characters and a chartoon feel to it. There are many things to do and many things to unlock. If you have ever played golf and enjoyed it you will definantly enjoy this game. Its a must have for any mario and golf fan
Not The Best but i'd still get it

When i first saw this game in Target....I said, "i want it". But now after I've played for a week straight, i've beaten the game and unlocked all there is to unlock. The courses are cool but nothing that makes my eyes buldge. I'd say that if you have a lot of friends that would want to play this game...get it. But if you are a "play by yourself kinda guy" then don't get the game. Its boring playing by yourself.
O ya, another good trait to the game is that on www.mariogolf.com, the have codes that you can plug into the ENTER CHEAT menu and you can play a tournamnet. What happens is, once you are done playing your round in the selected course, then a code will come up. That is your score. You then go to mario golf .com and plug in that code. Your name will then be posted on the scoreboard. But i tell ya...some of the leaders must be world class......

this is ok. it's super hard!!!!!!!!!!! The people who made this game must be crazy making this so hard!!!! The only other game this hard is this one scene in Viewtiful Joe called the magnifisent five but only on "adult," which makes MarioGolf the hardest game for Nintendo Gamecube.

This game is very fun although I do miss being able to change the character/outfit colors like you could for the 64.

The game is a lot of fun, it just takes some getting used to in the beginning. If you like the Mario motif, you'll love this one also. All the characters are there, in there own special, fun ways.

My kids seem to really like the game. They like the fact that it is a video game that parents understand and can play along with them. Some of the characters 'whining' after a bad hole can get annoying though.
