I'm sorry all you Hulk fans out there, but this game is one of the worst games I've ever played. It brings me back to the super nintendo days. Graphics are horrible (except in the cut-scenes), terrible camera system, and the Banner missions all make for one bad, repetative game. And when I say repetative, I mean you get deja vu everytime you walk into the next poorly designed "factory" or "science lab" level. There are only about 5 different enemies, which you will face many, MANY times. The story is so convoluded, there shouldn't have even been a story in the first place. And the objectives, oh the objectives. Since when does destroying a giant gamma orb solve all of life's problems? I'm serious, in every friggin level, it has you destroying a gamma orb (or something closely related to one). It does have its high points though, it's a little fun kicking waves of mutated dogs around a big empty room until they die.
Overall- 2/5

It is green, it is huge and you smash and kill. Being Banner is a nice feature to it because for once you have to use your wits! For the rest - just smash, smash, smash - boring.
Almost as Disappointing as the movie...

This game is fun for the first five hours, but the satisfaction of smashing things declines quickly after that. I recommend renting it or borrowing it from a friend before you decide to buy.
Chalk one up for the "Movie to Game gone BAD"...

Okay, let's get straight to the point:The Hulk is a great comic book! There has been an attempt to make a video game on the Hulk but it sucked eggs BIG TIME ! This is a BIG improvement but suffers a lot from repetetiveness. The only fun parts are when you fight bosses who are super villains and the military.Being Bruce Banner is just a drag. All you can do is crouch and roll(aside from punching). It's impossible to be stealthy! I got through the game with an invicibility cheat ( Thank God!).The game is also way Too short! The upside to this game is that the graphics are pretty good ( especially the cinematics )and there is good voice acting. The environments are destructible but not fully destructible.Rent this game with another game to check for yourself but you'll find it pretty disapointing...

When I rented this game from my local Hollywood Video store, shortly after viewing the movie at Regal Cinemas and drinking a Mountain Dew, my first impression was to like it. Before I play a game, I root for it. Then again, their are a lot of games I don't root for, but, then again, I don't play those.
Anyways, the game starts out with a seemingly endless amount of features to unlock (cheats, challenge modes, movie art, trailers, etc.). However, once you have played story mode once through, you've pretty much experienced all this game has to offer. Besides the last couple levels being mildly challenging, any child whose mom and dad will let them play could breeze through this game in one sitting (one sitting = 8 hours :-).
Hulk Smash! challenge mode is the one entertaining challenge, but, if you are good, it goes on forever. Plus, the cheats (as far as I'm concerned) cannot be unlocked from playing the game, but can only be gotten from the internet.
All said and done, here's my recommendation to you: RENT.
Pretty Fun....despite blatant Mountain Dew plugs...

The Hulk for Gamecube is a good time. The controllersa re easy to use, the levels are challenging, and the interface is fun. The only downside, and it's enough to lower my rating from 4 stars to three, is the insufferable Mountain Dew plugs. Can't we at least keep the advertising out of video games?
Mock me if you will, but this game is fun.

Those of you that glance at my reviews know I like super hero video games. I know that might make my review seem bias in regards to how I rank my reviews sometimes, but I feel Hulk has more "universal" appeal then most video games of the genre. I like to read other people's reviews and see what other people have had to say about the game before writing my own review. I do think not to plagarize for my lack of originality, but I do this by not to bore you by saying what has already been said. I do have to admit one thing repeated and worth saying again "Hulk Smash." Yes Hulk does smash and alot at that. It is fun to smash though everything and toss about your enemies. Some have complained about the mindlessness of this game, but I have to argue that "depth" in a Hulk title can sometimes ruin it. Bruce Banner can be a very psychologically deep character, but really how much fun is that to watch? I can bare it as a fan, but for Johnny "Average" American he's waiting for the Hulk to start dismantling things...and not have to wait two hours for the smashing to commence. The Hulk game will not let you down. I have to recommend this title.
Feel the power of the Hulk!!

The Hulk is a famous Marvel character. He is so famous that, in a couple of days, we will be able to enjoy him on the big screen. With the movie up ahead, there was no doubt that some videogame company would make a title for this green, mean, powerful character. And the company who decided to create the game for the Hulk was Vivendi Universal.
The game mixes action, stealth, and fighting with the green Hulk. The game is seperated into two modes of play: The Hulk missions and the Banner missions. The Hulk missions are the best. You basically destroy everything on your way, grab anything that you want and use them as weapons, or simply throw them to some opponent. You can perform 45 devastating attacks in 25 destructible environments. You can break the back of a bad guy, throw a car to a helicopter, grab a big metal stick and hit your enemies, or you can just smash your enemies to the ground. The freedom in the game is great. You can do whatever you want to whom ever you want to. Vivendi did an excelent job when it comes to freedom in the game.
In the Banner missions, you use David, the normal guy who turns into the Hulk when he is angry. These missions are about stealth: you have to do things silently and without being discovered by any guard. These missions are a bit boring, there is no action. The purpose of these levels is to find the cure for David Banner's problem and they can get a bit repetitive.
The game doesn't follow the movie, it is a complete different adventure. The game is a very good game! You don't have to be a hulk fan to buy it, you can just be an action fan. The game is well done, the Banner missions could have been better, and an appearance from Abomination would have been awesome. But all in all, the game is brilliant and should be considered by any Gamecube gamer or action fan. Hulk fans don't think twice before getting this!
Features:
-Cel shaded graphics
-Perform 45 devastating attacks in more than 25 destructible environments.
-Kill 10 enemies at once.
-Mixes stealth (Banner missions) with pure action (hulk missions).
-Lots of unlockables including trailers and pictures.
-Battle against classic villians
-Become the Hulk, what else can you ask for?
The Bad things:
-A bit repetitive in the Banner Missions
-No camera control
-No Abomination appearance!
Overall, just BUY it and enjoy being the greatest green guy of all times!
Buy it if you liked the movie.

The best part of this game is playing as THE HULK, and no one will argue that. Using his powers to crush people and objects is extremely satisfying. The levels are designed well, but could use a little help. Graphically, the game is outstanding.
Last year, Spider Man: The Movie was released around this time. While not great, it was fun for Spidey fans. The Hulk is very much the same way. If you would like to play as the hulk, then buy this now. But if all you want is an action game, you should rent first.
Hulk from the past cant beat this 1

OK..We all know Hulk came from a long time ago, abot 30 years, but this hulk is even better. It all starts when u go to a bathroom and you look in mirror and you see a huge green beast. It grabs you and pulls you to the mirror and knocks you down. Then, you look again, and you see your eyes glow green. Then, you smash out of the gas station and your the almighty, gamma powered Hulk, a huge mutant with one big temper tantrum. The irst level is easy, and it tells you how to play. Most of the other levels can be sort of hard, and some are really hard.
In the levels you are either Hulk or Bruce Banner. Hulk is more of the destroy everything kinda levels, and almost anythin in sight is smashable. In the Bruce Banner levels, you have to be stealthy and sneak past guards, killing them without making a scene.
Overall, I give Hulk 5 star rating because in my opinion, this is the best GCN game yet.
