GREAT SHOOTER GAME

This is one of the greatest if not the greatest game ever. It is definetely the best for NINTENDO GAMECUBE, although I havent had a chance to play DIE HARD: VENDETTA. I give DEAD TO rights a 5 star performance, because of the way this video game was made. You can control a dog and make him attack, you even can have slow motion on the main character Jack Slate. The story is based on a cop that is investigating a crime scene, and he finds his father dead at the scene. So he has to avenge his fathers death , and what a ride it is.
Well if you are thinking of buying a game similar to MAX PAYNE, then you will want to check out DEAD TO RIGHTS.
Occasionally fun but mostly a dull bore

I got Dead to Rights hoping for some great shoot-em-up action. And while I got that in bucketloads, it's only rarely engaging. The story plays out like film noir and has a hardened cop called Jack Slate (who really belongs in an 80s action movie) investigate his dad's murder only to end up being framed for various crimes and in the middle of huge conspiracy.
And so the game has you blast and fight your way through prisons, mines, air-force bases, dockyards, factories, cliff-sides, nightclubs, construction yards, out of control airplanes and hotels. It feels like a cross between Die Hard Vendetta and Resident Evil 4 (which I hated) as you seem to do nothing but shoot generic bad guys from start to finish. It becomes incredibly boring and is only slightly redeemed by a few intense shoot-outs. There IS the occasional fisticuffs but the mêlée system is poor to non-existent and there is no skill involved in defeated your opponent outside of button mashing.
Plus, the graphics are rotten. The cut-scenes look right out of a mid-90s CD-ROM and the gameplay graphics may look adequate but have a very jerky habit and the camera system will drive you crazy. And the voice acting is quite bad too with the exception of a few lively characters. The guy who plays Jack Slate sounds as bored as a living human can possibly be.
I can't rate this game particularly high. Find it somewhere cheap if you must, otherwise it's not the best shoot-em-up out there and I suggest you invest your time and money in something else. I'll pass on Dead to Rights 2.

First off I think this is supposed to be the Gamecube version (doesn't say). Dead to Rights plays just like an arcade game with the best of platform elements including extensive cinamatic sequences and an excellent controller set-up. The graphics remind me a little of Winback (N64) with the addition of 15+ sweet disarms and the ability to acquire a human shield. The only let down is the length sure there are 16 chapters but I'm on the 9th and its taken 4:20 (great #'s).
the best second person shooter

this game is very simmilar to die hard vandetta but, BETTER.this game has foul language, lots of blood, and good graphics. in simmilar games if you didn't have a gun you had to get one by picking on up of their dead body after using your hands and feet to kill him but, in this game if you don't have a gun you can just break their neck and take it or grab their head flip them sidways and shoot them in the head. the game is also loaded with minigames. i would defiantly recomend this game but,i will say it may not be sutible for young children
a great game to play for adults only

I HAVE NOT SEEN A GAME LIKE THIS IN A LONG TIME, THIS GAME IS 100 PERCENT BETTER THAN THE SAME GENRE LIKE MAX PAYNE. GRAPHICS ARE BETTER, EASIER TO USE CONTROLLER BUTTONS, GOOD STORY LINE, I LIKE THE DOG, MYSELF, IN MY OPINION THIS GAME IS GOOD FOR OLDER TEENAGERS, AND ADULTS. THERE SHOULD BE LESS BLOOD, BUT YOU CAN TURN IT OFF. GREAT GAME FIGHTING, SHOOTING. I GIVE IT FOUR STARS.

This game is bloody-war! There is a surplus of weapons to always keep you hooked! Slow-motion techniques are a big hit. The story line keeps you wondering what will happen next. With enemies from construction workers to clowns to thugs, it will keep you at the edge of your seat! Allies ranging from politicans to man's best friend will always be on your side!
This is the best game I've played in a while

Dead to Rights is 10 times better than Max Payne and True Crime:Streets of L.A. The fighting scenes are realistic with a Matrix like gun dive. You have disarming move combinations that will keep you facinated. If you're thinking of buying True Crime I'd recommend this game before you do(It's better and cheaper). Only disapointment that it is overly bloody, but that feature is easy to turn off.

Official Synopsis:
One good cop. One very bad situation.
Meet Jack Slate. A cop on the beat in Grant City... unaware that his next call is about to change his life. What he discovers will send him on a downward spiral into a labyrinth of corruption, betrayal, and crime. A super charged Action Noir thriller, Dead to Rights goes beyond Hollywood's best action movies: The gripping storyline, the larger-than-life action hero, and the adrenaline-charged experience deliver the performance of a lifetime. All that's missing is you!
My thoughts:
The synopsis on the back of the game (the one above) is all true. This is a great game. The storyline is gripping, and I think it would make an excellent action movie. This game is available on all three next-gen consoles, so I reccommend picking it up for EVERYBODY. This game is great. It's very well done, and I salute Namco.

This is a cool game. Gun blazing action with good story line.
I Showed my cousin Jerry this and he copied me right away.
It is a cool shooting game with crap graphics. But you can do combos and stuff. Its mainly, BANG BANG BANG AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
And Tap...tap...tap....Crack!! Thump...Shooting, snaping necks,
and fist fighting. If you like shoot em up action then get it and rubb it in there face.
