Well I feel like I just wasted $50. This game is very repetitive. Punch, punch, kick, punch. The flying and driving scenes only make it worse. The controls for Batman and the batplane are horrid. Batman runs when you push the control to the limit and walks every other time. The result is a jerky motion that is made worse by the 3rd person perspective that limits your view. This game does have great looking cut scenes and few neat gadgets, but these cannot make up for the inferior game play. Ubi Soft wasn't using the GameCube to its full advantage. This game feels like a rough port from another system

If you want to know what your in for by buying this game then read the long review by CJ Clifford. He covers just about everything about the game you need to know, but a few of his comments are off basis. His comments about the controls are completely wrong. When you cycle through your numerous weapons you can freeze the action by holding down R, this prevents you from taking damage while choosing a weapon. As far as the first person and third person view controls, if you don't like these you can change the default in the control menu and save the new controls with your game.
The only real disappointents in the game are the controls for the batwing and batmobile. These don't use all of the buttons and as a result take alot of control away from you as you fly and drive them (for example: the batmobile has no brakes. There is nothing else this game lacks except more levels, I can't wait until Batman: Dark Tomorrow comes out.

How did this game get a four star rating? I played it for about an hour and almost went into a coma. I gave it to my neighbor and he said he likes Pong for Atari better than this.

I did not really know any of the controls. I would not waste my money on Batman Veneance. I hope now that you understand my statement.

this game was my third one. it is pretty fun. the controls r easy and you get to take on some of batmans worst enemys. this game isnt the best one in the world. its just okay. so if your bored and have 19$ you should just get this.
While Batman Vengeance has its shortcomings that seem to be inherent in Batman games, it is fun to play

Batman Vengeance is a really good game, not great but really good. However, the method for saving a game in progress is the worst. You have to quit the game and then save it. I have not played any game that had that kind of idiotic save method before. No automatic saving in this game. I had played this game the first day I got it for like six hours straight which is a lot for me because I am a busy man and it was extremely fun and exciting because of the great story, sound effects, and brilliant cutscenes. If you are a fan of the animated batman series, then this game is for you. A lot of interesting twists in story occur throughout this game, which I figured out from the beginning but still wanted to play through the game to see them unfold. The battle against the joker is nothing short of spectacular even though it was quick and easy. While Batman's skills in fisticuffs is okay and a bit sluggish at times and controls for cuffing people is somewhat troublesome and glitchy, the controls for using his weapons and utilities are quite good. The fights are still fun and somewhat fun to watch, while jumping from rooftop to rooftop and down ladders is fantastic. Note: I beat this game the third day I got it. The only reason why it took three days is because of the bizarre save mechanism. I had to play through the entire game all over on the third day for about 10-12 hours or so. The way the joker behaves in this game is delightful because his behavior is a good match for him. The cut scenes in this game are fantastic, but it is a short game with really close to nothing to replay it for except a second run through of the story.
Just as good as the cartoon is in every respect

Batman has appeared in quite a few video games over the years, and most of them have been rather horrible. This one on the other hand is fantastic. The graphics look similar to those of the cartoon series that ran for quite some time. The play control is also good, with an easy to learn system that can be somewhat awkward at times, but nothing too unmanageable. The sound and music is a real plus to this title though. The cast of the cartoon series voiced this game. Kevin Conroy as Batman, Mark Hamil as the Joker, who could ask for more. The game itself is full of aciton. Through the use of all of Batman's gadgets you can bust up crime in Gotham City all you want. Secrets are also hidden in each level, driving you to explore a bit more. This game is a true tribute to Batman.
