This game has it all! It is very simmilar to spiderman for the n64, but in my opinion, better! The graphics in the game are great, a lot better than the ps2 version in terms of surroundings and there are enhancements.(Trust me, i own a gamecube and ps2. I rented both versions of the game) The levels are fun, The gameplay will take a while to master, but gets better as you progress through the game. The fighting system is ok, but can be a bit confusing. If you are an inexperienced gamer, I suggest NOT to get this game. It will be a bit confusing. The only downfalls are in the batmobile chase. There are no brakes. There should have been more levels in the game. I cant wait for batman: dark tomorrow!
Not so good !

I hate the fact that a few negative aspects in a game can cause people to start spit firing out one star reviews. I think this game is suffering from alot of that. While the controls are less than perfect and the camera angles can have you cursing like a sailor time to time this isn't a bad game. You are given alot of versatility with the Dark Knight. You can freely explore areas and getting further in the game is more fun than frustrating. This is also one of the few games that you can navigate through without a strategy guide (not that one wouldn't help.) I didn't like how they set up Batman's "power" moves and they can be tricky to pull off since it shares controls with the Bat-communicator. From what I can tell they have the same voice talent from the animated series so that also makes it fun through the FMV sequences. A fan will love this title.
This game is horrible, overall!!

The graphics and the sound are great, but these favorable qualities are totally nullified but the deplorable, frustrating gameplay. The camera angles are enough to make you want to stop playing the game, forever.
Rather 4 and 3\4 stars....

This game is definatly a great game becasue it relieves us of the long history of bad super hero games(with the exception of Spiderman). The plot is interesting and immersing. Over 500 animated moves (gasp) have been programed into this game. The gameplay and controls are excellent, and so are the graphics. However to use some of your Bat Gadgets, you need to switch views. this can annoying when you first start out, but it later becomes second nature. My personal favorite part of the game is leaping from building to building using your Bat Hook. Fortunatly, this game has a free enviorment; you go wherever you want. All in all, i would recommand this game to anybody looking for a new, good game.
Doesnt live up to the potential

I rented this game at Blockbuster a few weeks ago and i got bored with this game in three days. Batman, I admit looks pretty cool with the cartoon style, but this game has a lot of things wrong with it. The developers should have worked these things out before putting this game on the market. The cut-scenes and movie are pretty cool, but the lip-synch on the game absolutly [stunk]. I hate when you are in a fight and you cant get your item because you have to put the game in first-person, pick the right item, and use it. All the time wasted getting a item, your opponent was kicking your booty. Please, anyone dont waste your time or money on this piece of...
I want Vengeance - on this game

Batman: Vengeance drops players into the universe from the popular animated shows. While this has been accepted as one of the better Batman-based video games, I found it a really frustrating experience. The game has its moments, but too many control issues killed the experience for me.
The main reason fans will want to pick this up is to hear the voice talent from the cartoon reprise their roles, including Kevin Conroy, Tara Strong, and Mark Hamil. The plot isn't terribly special - it tries to innovate in how it links all the villains together so that Batman can fight them, but it wouldn't be compelling without the voice cast backing it.
In fact, hearing the voice cast became my only incentive to get through the game. Batman is animated reasonably well, and Gotham is accurately (if blandly) modeled in 3D to match the look of the show. The combat system though, stinks. Batman has an arsenal of gadgets, but u have to switch into a clumsy first-person mode to use them. The c-stick isn't very good at precision aiming, making boss fights like Mr. Freeze and a helicoptor overly difficult. Batman is also rather easily beat up in a slugging match, despite his years of training. Thugs will often land the first punch, then punch you again as you get up, or corner you in a wall and keep you from retaliating. The constantly shifting camera doesn't help things either. Whats a good Batman game without a decent combat system?
In the end, I had much more fun with Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu, and even the much-hated Batman: Dark Tomorrow. Fans of the animated shows may want Vengeance just to hear the voice-acting. It's not really fun for anything else.
This Insults Batman!

This game make batman look like a joke and Barney like the newest fad! These graphics are terrible for gamecube, The gameplay is so boring and the game its self is so easy to master, a baby could understand the game! I just got this game and I want to return it right away! Don't get this game!
Truely Disappointing

I rented this game recently and was very disappointed by the graphics and game play. Moving around was very very difficult and the color and graphics were not very good. also there is far too much cinematics and movies, makes the game LONG and boring!! I am a true supporter of Nintendo and especially Gamecube, i own 7 of the current games... but this is NOT worth buying unless you have alot of patience...
This game is really cool

This game is awesome if your any good at it. I read one of the reviews and the guy who wrote it said it was to hard because in first person you have to switch your to the write item while walking. That gets a lot easier. He said it was too hard for other reasons too. If to hard, why are my sister and I on the next to last level in 4 weeks,(although I'm pretty good at these kind of games)he must be an easy game addict. It's really cool because you get to play against all the main villians and their thugs, if you combine buttons you can do cool moves when fighting, the pics in between play are good, and you don't know what to expect. The only thing that's bad about it is it doesn't have Robin. This game is worth its money if you like fast action adventure games that makes it a challenge to figure out what to do.
