This game has some falts and pros. Like the 1 level where batman is trying to sneak up on these guys is really hard. Also that it is based totally on the movie!!

I was really excited when I rented this game. After two days I beat it! This game will probably take you if you're a gamer about 5 hours! I say rent this game save your money or buy it used if you really want to buy it.

Awesome GC Game!

I love this game! The graphics are some of the best I have seen. The voice acting is great, considering they are all the actors from the film.

The whole game done very well. The best!

This is a really good game. You don't get much freedom on how you do things, but it's still a great game.

This is a really fun game!

Batman Begins is a really fun game. The best part is that it is really good for spies. The only thing I don't like about it is the jump attack. You always miss the bad guy and I also have to say there are too many bad guys with guns. Arkum asylum is especially bad. But still it is a really fun game. Buy it now!

Batman Begins is based on the hit summer movie and best ever big screen adaptation of the Dark Knight character. It features the same all-star cast that made the movie great, as well as beautiful visuals that bring the movie to life. It also features many ideas and gameplay styles that fans have been waiting for in a Batman game. The problem? It's too easy.

The biggest failure of this game is that it had the potential to offer open-ended free-roaming gameplay, but instead restricts players to a set path, with a very specific way to get through that path. The game won't let you try other options to get around bad guys and puzzles, or if you do you'll pretty much wind up dead. How does the game restrict players? A good example is the use of the batarang. Batman can only hurl his trademark weapon at specific highlighted areas. He can *never* throw it at enemies, and he can never throw it at anything except the highlighted spot.

Everything just feels too pre-scripted. The game relies heavily on triggering things such as explosive barrels, falling platforms, etc. to scare enemies. These are supposed to make the environment feel interactive, but since you can't get through the level without activating them, they end up feeling tired and not very spontaneous. Even more puzzling is that while the game wants players to stay "hidden" and disarm their enemies through fear, after the thugs drop their guns you have to swoop down and beat them in hand-to-hand comabt anyway. It would've been cooler (and more Batman-like) to pick them off one by one from the shadows.

More game mechanics fail to impress. Interrogation is nothing more than grabbing an enemy and pressing 'b' until they spill their guts out. You can't stop the interrogation until you get what you need, and there's also no way to get wrong information or false information either. It's all basically a cutscene that pretends to be interactive. The Batmobile levels also feel pretty bland, and just don't offer any excitment or variety.

Still, the game's presentation oozes tons of style and Batman goodness. It's a treat hearing Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson and the others voicing their characters. And the character models look exactly like the actors, and is some of the best facial modelling I've ever seen. This is pretty much the reason to try out the game.

Batman Begins is good in concept, bad in execution. It's playable and enjoyable, but at the same time it feels very restricted and linear. Really, this game wouldn't be half as fun if the Batman license weren't there to support it. Hardcore Batman fans should add this to their collections if they find it used or discounted. Everyone should stick with a rental to see the authenticity of the movie license.

This is my first batman game... or the first one I can remember. I played one when I was 5 on Sega Genesis and on Cartoon network. This one is the best I've played. The movie was great, 5 stars. Game was solid but not the greatest.

Pros:
*Fear meter was cool
*Splinter Cell/Burnout
*Some fighting moves.

Blessing/Curse: No Splinter Cell Stealth or Darkness meter. It is nice that you don't need to be in darkness all the time and that you don't need to be quiet. It made it easier, but for splinter cell fans, you might be thrown off in the beggining.

Cons:
* Fear meter isn't as great as you would think.
* Not enough burnout levels.
* Only a few levels. Short game, long levels. Let's put it this way, It takes 3 hours to finish the Asylum level, and one 15 minute level tops to get out.
* Not enough movie similarity. Some cutscenes but some great moments, such as interogating flass were taken out.
* Lots of checkpoints, but some if you turn off the games, you have to restart the level. For some people, 3 hours straight is a lot. It starts to get annoying.

End: Watch the movie, rent the game, Buy Splinter Cell.

BECOME BATMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was considering buying this game, the first thing I did was to go and read the other people's reviews on it. I read a heck lot about how it was too "restrictive": not letting you do what you want to do when you want to do it. Overall, I got the impression that this game was not super good.

Well, I'm going to rephrase all that right now.

This game is THE BEST, especialy if you are a Batman freak like I am. The only flaw in it is the mild language that frequently gets spewed out of the filthy crooks' mouths when they see the giant bat dropping down on them. Turn the volume down and you're good!

Even if you are not a Batman nut like I am, you will enjoy this game for it's clever layout and plot, which is like the movie but not quite identical to it (which I like). It has great levels, including patroling Gotham City and driving the Batmobile; so you get to accomplish all of Batman's skills!

I would definately recomend this game to anyone who wants to try their hand at Batman's great skills or just plain wants to have a sweet time when they bring out their Gamecube.

Even though this game is rated T for teens, my 6 yr. old already beat it. He got it for his 6th birthday & it was all the rave-HE JUST HAD TO HAVE THE BATMAN GAME! I realize the overall content is a bit graphic for someone his age but he always played it under adult supervision. It is an extremely compelling game & difficult to put down once you get started. We never even saw the movie but it didn't matter because the game is extremely depictive of the what goes on it. This game is DEFINITELY recommended for any Batman fan.
