Go back to Rescuing Babies, Yoshi

When I first got this game, I thought it was great and couldn't put it down. As I got further, I felt that this game was just too repetitive. The control scheme is creative, but hard to get the hang of. At the beginning of the game, the missions are a piece of cake. At the end however, they get difficult and frusturating. I think Yoshi is better at rescuing babies than bringing happiness back to the world. I understand how some people will like this game a lot, but i would try it out somehow before you buy it so you won't be disappointed with game. At the beginning this game is a blast, but like many Yoshi games it turns into bore. Yoshi Topsy-Turvy has a lot of room for improvement.

Fun Fun Fun!!!!!

This game is one of the best games I have ever played!!!! In the Game you actually turn your Game Boy to control Yoshi. The game's level's challenge gradually progresses throughout the game so you are constantly being challenged. Overall I'd say this game is one of my favorite games in the world!!!!

My kids are using their GameBoys again!

This game makes your GameBoy play like a wii. My kids love it and have now revieved their GameBoys and are even playing other games again. But they fight over this one - so maybe get 2 ;)

I got mine from Amazon for $11 something after coupon.

This game was a GREAT game about yoshi and I am so glad I got it. This game is really cool because you have to tilt your gameboy to do certain things. If you want to move a boulder just tilt the gameboy in the direction you want it to roll. Yoshi is my favorite character and I'm so glad to see him starring in his very own game. (Not counting the yoshi games with baby mario.) Yoshi's Story was also great N64 product but I'm suprised nintendo hasn't made a remake for it on gamecube or something. I loved the graphics in Topsy-Turvy because it was designed like cardboard. The world would be like cardboard. Besides, the story was that Hongo turned Yoshi's Island into a pop-up book. One of the annoying things are the missions you have to complete to continue onto the next page. Well, if there weren't missions the game would be way too easy. Yoshi can't make eggs though but he can eat the original enemies like shy guys. Or simply jump on them. Overall, the music is catchy, the game is addicting, and it is really fun!

WHY IN THE WROLD TILT CONTROL?

This game "Yoshi Topsy Turvy" has a catchy name, good music, and great 2-d to 3-d platform suroundings. The only thing wrong with this game is the tilting. The tiliting was the most annoying thing ever. Tilt this way tilt that way. Very distracting and very annoying. The story also bothers me. Spirits? A pop-up book? Come on Nitendo, USE YOUR INMAGANATION! This game was not the greatest game to buy, get it used.

Great, fun game for kids

Yoshi Topsy Turvy GBA has a built in gyroscope sensor that is much smaller than the similar Wario game. This lets you actually tilt your GBA unit to play the game.

This game is designed to be easy and fun for the younger set, so more advanced players might find it a bit too easy or dull. You are Yoshi, whose island has been trapped in pages of a book. Your only way to free the island is to go from page to page, pleasing the spirits in each section so they help you free your island.

Really what this means is that you have to move left to right (or sometimes top to bottom) along a one-way track, avoiding enemies, gathering coins, eating fruit, or performing whatever other actions are required to move along.

For example, in one area the "baby eggs" that once lived there in happy harmony have now been turned into red fruits. You have to eat each one and fart out the original egg. I'm not exactly sure how this works in the digestive system, but Nintendo has always played a bit fast and loose with this sort of thing :) You can even see which eggs you've freed over time, in a gallery area.

By tilting the GBA unit left and right, sort of like spinning a lazy susan clockwise or counterclockwise, you help Yoshi move along. You swing wrecking balls, let Yoshi slide down snowy slopes, roll slowballs into larger and larger sizes, and even ride on half-pipes. None of the puzzles are really challenging, but again this is meant for kids. The puzzles are all ones that a kid can figure out relatively easily and then have a lot of fun playing through.

The game isn't really long, but you can always go back and replay sections that you enjoy a lot, looking to get every point there and get the highest score.

Well recommended for its target age group!

AWFUL TO FUN!

At first Yoshi Topsy-Turvy is pretty hard. It says on the directions that you have a bunch of bosses, but you don't find them until about the fifth level. Usually I keep Pokemon blue version in my gameboy, but stometimes I play Topsy-Turvy. Its ok, but not the best.

An Interesting Game, but Yoshi can do Better!

This isn't exactly the best Yoshi game in the world. I bought it a few months ago, and started playing it immediately. The first level was okay, but right after that, it got a bit dull. I didn't care for it after that, and have not played it since.
