I absolutely love this game!! To play, you turn the game system to change the elevation of the ground that Yoshi is on and the way that things roll or move. It works remarkably well! I have read other reviews of some other game like this and they said that the turning mechanism was faulty. I guarrantee you that this game works like magic! I am amazed at both this and the quality of the graphics. What a creative idea Nintendo had! I haven't yet played all of the Mario games, but I am most definitely working on that I can assure you. The ones that I have played so far have provided me with countless hours of fun! My only negative comment about this game is that it is not long enough and somewhat easy in the early stages. Have fun!

This game is very fun! I love the fact that turning your gameboy helps Yoshi run up walls, and also makes platforms roll out. How different! I give this game 5 stars!
This game is lame

Yoshi Topsi Turbi or however you spell the damn game is not worth the 30 dollar price tag at most game stores. Yes i no its new but im warning you it sucks crap. You move your Game boy around to move yoshi and have the time it does not work and it is STRICTLY a kids game. But even kids will get sick of constantly dying. Yea its that bad. So dont kill your money and waste it on something else you dont need like water. Im not reccommending this game. But who the hell is going to listen to me
Yoshi does it again.

I was afraid that after reading some of the BAD reviews, Yoshi Topsy Turvy might not be to my expectations, but it was actually above my expectations! When Bowser attacks the egglings on Yoshi's Island, Hongo the book spirit puts Bowser inside a picture book but accidentally traps Yoshi's Island in it as well.
The spirit who opposed Hongo's idea was fired and told Yoshi the story and that Hongo might return Yoshi's Island back to normal if he got to the last page of the book. Yoshi was very angry after hearing this so in return, the spirit gave him the power to turn the world around him. The tilt sensor on the back of the game makes it look weird but it's truly amazing. I've heard people complaining about how it doesn't work most of the time and that's because they didn't calibrate it correctly. Some people might wonder how it will work when it's in the DS or GBA SP. You can change it so it does when it turns on. There are six chapters in the book(Excluding the two boss chapters) that each have their own spirit. Only by meeting the spirit's needs, will you be able to pass. The difficulty starts outs really easy and progresses so that you learn how to use the tilt sensor in different ways. I found parts of this game very challenging including the final boss. Each spirit has different things they like so each chapter has their own challenge. Still, you can face other spirits in a chapter or even having a two-mission level where you have to do two objectives. The things you have to do in the levels for the spirits are, eat apples to save egglings, get a certain number of coins, kill a certain number of enemies, beat the level in a certain time limit, beat the level without killing four or more enemies, and a spirit who sends a spinning wall of saws at you(This one has to be combined with another). Almost any of these can be combined with another for chaotic fun. To complete a level you have to go through the rooms and complete the objective(Or objectives) and touch the the big star(s) at the end of the level. If you completed the objective(s), you will get a completed screen with a gold or silver happiness medal(They determine the chance of winning the mini-game.). If you get the mini-game, you get a chance to get more coins to get extra lives. To get the next level all you need to do is touch the big star(s) and you will automatically get it. You only need to complete a certain number of levels and get to the big star(s) at the last level in the chapter to advance to the next chapter where you will meat a new spirit. With the tilt mechanism you can, climb up vertical walls, roll boulders and spiked rolling enemies, change the way you fall or make Yoshi jump higher and farther, swing pendulums and ships(And things like that.), and change the tidal waves when you're in a ship or boat. So there's a lot you can do with tilt-control. The graphics are like the Yoshi Story graphics where the characters are 3-dimensional and the backgrounds and levels are 2-dimensional. Even though you can beat this game within six hours, you can still go back and do the levels you couldn't beat or just start a new file(By the way, you can start up to three files.). It's up to you whether to buy it or not. My opinion? Buy it, it's a great game and worth its price(I would even pay $40 for it).

On a lot of sites they said this was a bad game, how can it be
bad? Yoshi Topsy Turny is a GBA sequel to Yoshi's Story (Kind of) People start thinking how, but here are the resimblance
-Yoshi is 3-D
-Side scrolling in a Story-like backround
-No baby Mario
And now you get it, I never played it, but the way people think about is insulting. Nintendo is just trying to make another game
with tilt sensors, after all don't forget about Kirby tilt and
tumble which was a tilting game for Gameboy Color. And the the music may be bad quality, but it gives the edge of old school gaming, and there is no school like the old school.
Yes I have realised it is a childish game, but I'm high Imaginative Teen who likes Nintendo Games since the beggining!
Graphics A+
Sound B+
Story B
Game play S
Music B-
Advantages A+ (Tilt)
Over All: A-
(I'll rate it again when I get the game)

I love this game. I have beat it and now doing the bonus levels. I also have gone back to finish things I have missed on all the levels. Took me awhile to beat Bowser at the end but you have to tilt your gameboy back and forth till Bowser falls into the lava. This game starts off easy but gets harder and harder, and is hard to put down.
If you loved Yoshi's Island, you'll be disappointed

I don't know how Nintendo did it, but they took a great series and ruined it. I got so bored with this game that I simply stopped playing it halfway through. Yes the tilt sensor is a novel concept and it could have worked well, but the game play just isn't there.
Why is it so bad?
* Levels are far too easy. There is hardly any challenge
* Just another token collection game
* No end of world bosses
* Annoying characters that have nothing to do with the Mario-Yoshi universe
* Annoying music
Shame on you Nintendo for releasing this game. Do they really think they can just market their games to kids forever while forgetting the former generation that grew up with Nintendo?
it's a great game

I was curious about the tipping future of this game but it works very well. It adds a new dimention to gaming. The first few levels are very easy, giving you time to get used to the 'tipping.' After that the game becomes more challenging, but then I am an occasional player and your opinion could be different. Either way, this game will be a lot of fun for you or the kids.
My stomach goes "Topsy Turvy" with this game!!

I do not like this game at all. I didn't realize when it said that you had to tilt your GB to get the game to work, that you literally had to be on one of those pirate ships at an amusement park to get the game to work properly!!

I don't care what you peoples think!!! Yoshi is great. The levels are cool. The music is great. I love Yoshi. I am obsessed with him but I do not care. I loves this game because it is one of the few games that has yoshi but NOT MARIO!!!! I wish mario would go away for a while, and let yoshi be the star of the show. I really like the game. It's a little bit easy, but otherwise excellent. A billion stars if you ask me. three cheers for yoshi! YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSHI!!!!
