Doesn't stack up against Doom II or Duke Nukem

This is a 3D shooter classic, which many old Wolfenstein 3D fans may cherish. However, after playing Duke Nukem Advance and Doom II Advance, this game doesn't quite stack up. It is not a bad product at all, but it's just not as fun. The best games for GBA that I've found so far are the Mario Bros series, the Metroid series, Doom (I and II), Duke Nukem, Super Street Fighter II, Max Payne, and Tekken Advance. I don't want to buy every game for the GBA, and I suggest you don't either. I carefully read reviews and attempt to purchase only the best. Wolfenstein 3D is a good game, but not like the others mentioned; in my opinion it is not a must-have.
Great combat game

I have found the game to be quite challenging and involved. It appears to have a random action generator as I find the number and types of opponents varies, along with the damage you incur during the game, so if you don't succeed, try again as many times as it takes, eventually you get the hang of it. I think a game guide would be a very useful accessory for this game but I have been unable to locate one, at least so far. A game guide would be particularly good for the higher level on the last couple of missions. Frequent saves are a must with this game. Overall a great game that will keep you involved for hours. Probably not one you want to give the younger members of the family.

The greatest most classical game has finally come to Game Boy Advance! Now instead of playing the game on your computer you can even play it on your portable Game Boy Advance. I Love the Game!

System and features 32-bit quality unlike the old pc version, and features a world of 3-D environments with fun fps gameplay and super fast 3-D graphics with ok sound....
Nice game, but why the "M" rating?

First things first: I find it very odd that when DOOM came out, it only got a "T" rating. Now that there's Wolfenstein 3D for the GBA, it has an "M" rating. What's going on here? When the game originally came out, it had an unofficial "PC-13" rating by id Software. The game is not gory at all. There's no splattering of gibs, no Satanic images, and definitely no scary looking monsters. In a few words, Wolf3D is more fit for teens than DOOM is...
All of this really upsets me. Ever since Columbine, the government has pushed for stricter ratings. They say strict, I say "pansy" and stupid. Today if something shows the slightest hint of combat violence, it has to be rated "M". If it shows red blood anywhere, "M" it gets. That's one of things that disappointed me about the GBA version of DOOM, the green blood.
Before you know it, our world be the George Orwell imagined it in "1984". Good day.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!
Yes, yes, it's so special, the original fps. Although a good game it was dwarfed by games like doom and nothing compared to console fps. But what do you expect for gameboy anyway right? Wrong. Matter-of-factly, this game is outdated, and its not even updated! I don't want to be too harsh on the first fps, but if you want to play this, just have a friend with old games e-mail the shareware pc version to you, because its the same and the control is better on pc. Bam! Entertainment does make good games though, so get the other fps they made, Ecks vs. Sever; it is definitely the best fps for gameboy.
#1 First-Person shooter of all time!

Before Quake, before Doom, There was Wolfenstine 3D. I mean who doesn't like going into Castle Wolfenstine and pumping the Nazi thugs full of lead!I often found myself yelling at my PC "Eat Lead! High Fiber!" When I bought this game for Game Boy Advance, I found myself doing the exact same thing! The 60 level adventure for Game Boy Advance took me back to the days when I would spend hours in front of my PC trying to figure out how to get to the next floor. There is NO difference between the GBA game and the PC game, so devoted fans of Wolfenstine 3D will love it!If you're a fan of First Person Shooters, then you should play the one that started it all!

I have many Wolfenstein games includig the first one that came out many years ago and the brand new one: Return to Castle Wolfenstein. The mane plot of the first one is that you are trapped in Caslte Wolfenstein and you have to get out and the second one you go back to try to stop these evil cretions (hence the return), This new one for Gameboy Advanced is just like the first one, EVERYTHING. you would think thats bad since it came out in like the late 80's. but thats the thing its great!!! There are some differences like the picture is better more secert rooms and things like that but i loved the first one so much and i even still play it today. this game is a must have!!!

OK the GBA port is slobbed down-the GBA shouldn`t have FPS games anyway-GBA can only handle 3D to a certain degree. The developers should have waited until the next set of handheld console(which turned out to be Nintendo DS,PSP and Gizmondo)-then put an FPS game on it.
WolfenStein 3D is a classic,3D games were rare when this came out,Not to mention this is the VERY 1st First Person Shooter game to comeout EVER!
Happily enough WolfenStein 3D is a beat-game Reward for the XBox game "Return To castle Wolfenstein:Tides Of War"(Not sure about the PC/PS2 version)-So the game is techincally also on XBox,and maybe PS2(well its already on PC anyway).
There are alot of AWESOME FPS games this gen-a few on PS2,a few on GameCube-But LOADS OF GOOD FPS games on XBox here are some of them(i will mention some sequals)
HALO
HALO 2
FAR CRY:INSTINCTS
FAR CRY INSTICTS:EVOLUTION(not out yet)
RAINBOW SIX 3
RS3:BLACK ARROW
GHOST RECON
GHOST RECON:ISLAND THUNDER(note has sequals, but are not FPS)
DELTA FORCE:BLACK HAWK DOWN
MERCENARIES
MEDAL OF HONOR:FRONTLINE
CALL OF DUTY:FINEST HOUR
CALL OF DUTY 2:BIG RED ONE
BROTHERS IN ARMS:ROAD TO HILL 30
BROTHERS IN ARMS 2:EARNED IN BLOOD
RETURN TO CASTLE WOLFENSTEIN:TIDES OF WAR
WOLFENSTEIN 3D(well its INSIDE RTC W:TOW)
DOOM 3
they are all the FPS games on XBox i like-Far Cry:Instincts BEST-better than HALO/HALO 2 any day. There are MUCH more shooter games that are not FPS on XBox,hek there are some more FPS games on it too.
There is one more game that needs to be made for XBox/XBox 360 that is 007 Goldeneye-MicroSoft own RARE so they can,but since EA has the 007 licence-RARE can`t remake the game but what RARE should do is make any FPS game(a good one preferably) and add 007 Goldeneye as an extra-That would boost up sales even though it is an old game.I doubt EA can stop them from doing that.
Or EA should remake the game themselves-But generally i`d prefer RARE to do it.Thats actually why there are no good 007 James Bond games now,if EA never bought the 007 licence-RARE would have made much better 007 games,GoldenEye wouldn`t be as much as a classic but as a very good beginner, the bad thing is RARE is a 2nd PARTY developer and 007 games would not be out on PS2 or even any Nintendo consoles anymore.
But please someone revive 007 Goldeneye!
It's true, Wolfenstein 3D is even out-dated on the GameBoy.

The worst FPS available for the GBA is Wolfenstein 3D. It's not the worst by much, Medal of Honor; Underground is pretty darn close. Wolfenstein 3D was the fifth FPS for the GBA but the first FPS ever to be released for any system. Bringing this title back from the dead probably wasn't such a good idea with games like Ecks Vs. Sever competeing with it. Doom and Duke Nukem were old games coming back to life on the GBA but those turned out so darn good. Those games featured beautiful graphics. Wolfenstein 3D's are just plain outdated and ugly, however not as ugly as Medal of Honor: Underground's. The game features the original 60 levels and 4 weapons. Only 4? Yes, I know, there were only 4 in the original but that is to little. This game is even outdated on the Game Boy. The game is still fun but there are a lot of better choices in the FPS genre for GBA. Trust me.
