Why is everyone complaining about these songs being unheard of? What do you people want, to play Guitar Hero to lame 90's songs like Cryin and I don't want to Miss a thing? Give me a break. I read some reviews saying these were not famous Aerosmith songs. All of Aerosmith's body of 1970s work is not only their BEST but also their most FAMOUS. the reason everyone makes fun of aerosmith now is because of songs like pink, cryin, crazy, amazing, all that pop bubble gum stuff. all these songs from the 70s are ideal for a game based on a GUITAR. how do you think aerosmith rose to stardom? hello, BY PLAYING THE SONGS ON THE GHAEROSMITH SET LIST. THESE SONGS ARE AEROSMITH'S BEST SONGS, BY FAR.

Awesome!

If you are an Aerosmith fan, you'll love this game. It has some of their best songs with some from other bands as well. Set is just like the other Guitar Hero games where you have to unlock songs as you go.

not too shabby

Even though this game is basically a copy of GH3, there were enough newities to keep me entertained for the 3 hours it took to finish it. Its hard to complain about the game though, because it was exactly what I figured it would be. There are only about 40 songs on the game, a handful of which I recognized. My only real problem with the game is the price. I don't really care about the less-than-perfect sound and graphics...Thats why I bought a Wii instead of a PS3 or XBox 360 in the first place. So if you aren't that big of an Aerosmith fan, this game is still worth playing. Although, you might want to wait until you can find it cheaper...

OK, so there are a few Aerosmith gems that are missing in the set list and the game generally is a repackaged GH3, but there are enough hits (and some cool b-sides that I didn't know before) that the game is fun. The songs don't seem to be as hard at the various difficulty levels, but the riffs are quite a bit different from anything on GH3. There are lot more hammer-ons and the bass/rhythm lines are a bit more fun than GH3. Since the game interface is essentially the same for both games, one thing that would be nice is if there was a way to easily switch between GH3 and GHA without having to change discs.

I can foresee GH releasing versions for other bands, but I'm not sure I'll spring for them; I'm going to wait for Nintendo to figure out how to do downloadable content.

Overall, for Wii'ers, this is a good GH 'fix'. Non-die hard Aerosmith fans with other platforms may want to rent and bask in the glory of picking which songs they want to pay extra for....and not have to switch discs.

Guitar Hero III With Different Songs

If you like Guitar Hero III and you like Aerosmith, you'll like Guitar Hero Aerosmith. The set list is O.K and includes 41 songs, but it would have been nice to see a few more. The onstage graphics are fun, and after playing through all the tracks I have a better feel for what Aerosmith sounds like. By the end of the set list I felt like I was part of the band. Overall, if you like Guitar Hero III and are looking for some more tracks to play, I'd say it is worthwhile. Now all I need is Guitar Hero Guns N' Roses. Rock On.

Same game, different songs

If you have played any of the Guitar Hero games... this one is no different. Each section of this one has 3 Aerosmith songs and a couple songs from other groups, and all the bonus songs are Aerosmith songs, so if you are not an Aerosmith fan, this may not be your favorite game, but it will still be fun!

Great first time guitar hero game

This is my first guitar hero game, and I really like it a lot! It's fun trying to beat the songs on Easy, then Medium, then Hard, etc. It seems like what a lot of other reviewers have a problem with is it's similarities to other GH games - but I think on it's own it's pretty darn fun.

It's true that not all of the songs are that great - I'm not an Aerosmith fan, and some of the B-sides just don't sound good - but almost without exception they are fun to play, and I find that by playing them I actually start to like them more.

That said, I probably would have preferred a non-Aerosmith branded game, with a larger range of bands. Aerosmith is a fine band, but I think I would have preferred greater variety.

I find the boss battles to be really difficult - I'm unable to beat the Joe Perry boss battle on medium, even though I can get through all of the songs prior pretty easily. The problem is that you can't practice the battle, so you have to keep trying which is kind of lame.

Some niggles: I found "The Vault" interface (where you buy songs, videos, character models, outfits, etc) to be a little confusing, and most of the character models to be either inappropriate (especially slutty girl models) or just gross (most of the guy models).

I found the guitar controller itself to be nicely made and quite responsive.

So, overall I think this game is a lot of fun and this first time Guitar Hero owner is having a lot of fun working through the Career mode on medium!
