Even though this game is basically a copy of GH3, there were enough newities to keep me entertained for the 3 hours it took to finish it. Its hard to complain about the game though, because it was exactly what I figured it would be. There are only about 40 songs on the game, a handful of which I recognized. My only real problem with the game is the price. I don't really care about the less-than-perfect sound and graphics...Thats why I bought a Wii instead of a PS3 or XBox 360 in the first place. So if you aren't that big of an Aerosmith fan, this game is still worth playing. Although, you might want to wait until you can find it cheaper...

Game is a great continuation to GH3. This game is not about graphic quality, so don't ask. If you're a true Aerosmith fan, you'll like the chronology and selection of songs. I also agree there could be more. There's a huge catalog to choose from. You'll find yourself turning up the volume and getting lost in some of the songs. I definitely see a trend starting here. Get ready for GH4 Metallica. . . Cary Kinder / Franklin, Oh
Absolutely Horrible.

I am an average Aerosmith fan, and this was a horrible game, I'm sorry. The songs are slow and not at all stimulating in the Guitar Hero sense, the game itself is easy and not at all as challenging as GH3. Do not waste time or money. Do not even rent. Between this and what I am hearing about Rock Band for Wii, it is all in all a depressing debut month for these games.
Awesome even without co-op

Overall, this is a pretty good compilation of songs from Aerosmith as well as "cover" songs from other bands that Aerosmith liked, influenced, or was influenced by.
Sweet Emotion is just awesome to play. Easy, medium and hard are pretty easy if you've gotten through hard and expert on GHIII. Even Expert mode at the beginning isn't too bad, but it does get tougher as you move forward into the band's history. However, it does seem to have been made easier than what GHIII was.
The gameplay is typical GH play. You start each set as the opening act, playing 2 cover songs. When you play as the cover band (which is the first 2 songs for each set), you play as the characters from GHIII (which you can choose for your profile). But, once you've gotten past the cover tunes, then Aerosmith comes out and then the show REALLY rocks as you play two songs and then an encore as Aerosmith.
You earn money and each set begins with a video with the band explaining that part of their history. You can unlock more songs as well as more lengthy videos to learn more about Aerosmith and their history.
Overall, if you're an Aerosmith fan, you cannot go wrong with this. Casual GH players may find this a let down as the song list is smaller than GHIII, but for me, this is an awesome addition for the Wii GH franchise.
This gets four stars because there is no co-op and there is no Dude Looks Like a Lady. Otherwise, the songs are great and it's going to make me break out my Aerosmith CDs and listen to them again.
Aerosmith flavored Guitar Hero that doesn't offer too much

Since Activision and Neversoft took control of the Guitar Hero franchise, we've been getting a steady stream of sequels and spin-off's, with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith being the latest game in the series. Featuring a pretty good collection of songs spanning Aerosmith's long career, you'll find that besides adding the Aerosmith-themed presentation, the game itself is basically identical to Guitar Hero III. This isn't really a bad thing, but considering this is a full-priced game, it would have been nice if there would have been a little more overall variations. The track list here is quite good though, with even some bonus tracks from Joe Perry's Joe Perry Project to find and play too, along with some bonus interviews with the band. Getting through the game isn't that much of a challenge though if you're a Guitar Hero veteran, as the game proves to be not all that difficult compared to previous Guitar Hero games. It should also go without saying that if you aren't a fan of Aerosmith, this probably isn't for you. All in all, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is an enjoyable diversion that fans of the band will get a lot of enjoyment out of for a while, but in the end, the game doesn't offer enough bang for your buck.
Disappointed

I was disappointed in the conversion back to the guitar hero two game play. guitar hero three was a huge step in providing quality entertainment but unfortunately we didn't receive that same quality for Aerosmith.
I expected so much more of this game...

I love Aerosmith!! but come on this game doesn't make justice to the huge play list they have, only 3 or 4 good songs in the game...what happened with crazy, crying, amazing, angel, falling in love is so hard on your knees, pink, etc...
Im pretty dissapointed with this game :'(

This game kept my 12 year old and 16 year old grandkids occupied for many hours. They do say that the graphics are not as good as on the PS3 but that did not deter them from playing. Later my husband got on and said it was quite fun.
It's OK

Aerosmith Wii is fun, and our family was excited to get it. However, it is not nearly as challenging as the regular Guitar Hero, and my kids have gradually become a little bored--especially my 14 year old son. All have returned to the original guitar hero. My 8 year old son enjoys it the most. However, he, too, says it is a little "boring." As an adult mom, a "closet Guitar Hero fan," I quite enjoy it!
