Good old time game!

I love this game. It is definitely an improvement over RCT1. It has the same look and everything, but some of the annoying parts of 1 has been fixed in 2! For example, you can now have an ATM machine, so your guests don't have to run out of money. That really helps. There are more rides, food vendors, and overall more choices. If you liked RCT1, then you will LOVE RCT2!

The expansion isn't as fun as the other one, but for the price, it does add to your game! Just get it and enjoy more freedom.

This expansion to RCT 2 is not a whole lot better or worse, but it does add a lot of scenery to make a great park. Me, I think a great park dosen't really need weird convoulted footpaths with different colours every five squares, but anyway--

Wacky Worlds plays like RCT2, and it is exactly the same in all aspects. The only thing done to Wacky Worlds was addition! Nothing was deleted; only things added.

The game in general is fun & easy to spend your time in front of, and it's entirely addictive in ALL ways.

Buy it.

Time Twister even beats this one for the RCT 2 Expansions. This is not-well designed. Also, the map of your park is so primative. Can't you take screenshots -- or better yet, the game does it for you -- and assemble a map instead of orange lines on a dotty surface?

The game adds NO and I promises NONE new rides, just new "themes" for existing ones. For example, "Neptune" ride is really a new-vehicled Twist and you'll see it has the same ratings (for) Excitement, Nausea, Intensity.

I think (but this applies to the whole RCT 2 line) that the game leaves much to be desired.

Wacky Worlds simply is not there. Not close. We get scenarios like "build around the Great Wall of China". How stupid is that? Honestly? And then, we have an Eifel Tower scenery but no park to center it! It's just weird.

Not really worth the buy.

RCT takes a step backwards

I love a good rollercaster snaking through the trees, and in RCT2 it was a great enhancement from RCT1 that you could build a coaster and have the trees automatically removed as you add track. So why would that functionality be removed from the expansion, Wacky Worlds? I don't want to spend my time removing trees, I want to build coasters. If you enjoy frustration and wasting your time, skip Wacky Worlds and go right for Tree Removal Tycoon!

This is a great game!!! Come on! There is WAY more scenary and are WAY more rides to play with! Some are complaining about the number of scenarios but the big thing is that you can create your own scenario and pack it with TONS of cool stuff and just play and play!

It might be fun, if it would WORK!

I have two fairly new computers. I tried it on BOTH of them twice, and it never worked. Although it installed it failed to run. The web site was no help. Sorry if this review is not actually about the game, but think of it as a warning in case this happens to you too.

This expansion pack is good (for a "roller coaster tycoon"}. I thought maybe it would give me extras in any theme park but no, I could only get Wacky Worlds theming and roller coasters in the new parks that Wacky Worlds added which had impossible goals. All "roller coaster tycoons" out there this expansion is perfect for you.

This expansion has new rollercoaster types, new scenarios and new thrill rides. I am disappointed that there are no new shops.
My favourite NEW thrill ride is the Chinese Firecracker. It's the same as Enterprise, but I think it looks cooler.
My favourite NEW rollercoaster type is Limousine Rollercoaster. I used to recreate my fave rollercoaster the Rock 'n' Rollercoaster At Disney World, Florida!
None (or very few, I can't remember) of the new rollercoasters have pre-designed rollercoasters. So go to the Roller Coaster Designer and let you imagination run wild!
If you want, but the Roller Coaster Tycoon: Wacky Worlds Guide. It's not essential (I didn't buy it) but it just has a few hints and tips to get you started. Buy if you have extra $.
You MUST have Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 to play.
Summary: The game is great. A LOT better than Theme Park World!

The expansion is nothign but a collection of very very poor scenery items. Nearly all of the items are not to scale with the game and they do not fit with the artistic style. There are no new rides, contrary to what they say, there are only new cars for your existing rides. And while that may sound good, only a few are actually enjoyable. This expansion is the worst of the worst. Avoid it at all costs unless you hate having an extra ($)

RollerCoaster Tycoon is probably the best amusement park simulator game out there. The add-ons, Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes were great additions to the game. Then came the sequal, RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. It was between good and bad, but for the most part, good. Now, RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Wacky Worlds. I hope none of you waste your time and money on this piece of [garbage]. It is by far the worst add-on for the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. Everyone wanted newer flat-rides, and they gave them to us, but they were just the same ride with different theming on it, like tea cups and cars and such. There were no new roller coasters or any new rides. They were all just modified from the oens in the original first two games. The worst part though would have to be the scenery objects... Some of them could be useful at times. I really think that the new scenery pieces look horrible and don't look anything like the original game's scenery. You can tell that the creator of the game, Chris Sawyer, had no part in this game... Hopefully, he will in the Time Twisters Expansion Pack. That game sounds un-[romising too...

So, I advise anyone not to buy this game, but go and buy RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and 2 with the add-on packs, Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes.
