I have had Fish Tycoon now for a few months. It is an interesting way to have an aquarium of fish, which I am currently replacing with a tank of real fish. Some of the fish don't look very realistic, but it is interesting to find all of the different types of fish in the game. You can change the speed of the game or pause time if you can not feed the fish every day. I saw that someone commented that you can not restart. That is not true, you can go to the menu and create new games (up to 5 total),and you can also delete games. The game is interesting for awhile, but does get boring, not to mention you do eventially run out of new types of fish. It was a fun game, and the price is not really that high, so I'd say its worth a try if u like fish.

I liked this game, however, if your fish die and you don't have money for eggs, I am not sure how to continue to play this game. I left the game on all night and by the next day all fish were dead and I could no longer play. It will not let you start over.

This game is wonderfully addictive. There are so many types of fish to breed, and there are many wonderful features, like the different speeds. So be sure to pause your game if you can't feed your fish every couple of hours...they will die. But if that happens, don't fret, you CAN indeed restart your game. Just go down to the right corner of the menu screen and click change player. This feature allows you to even have multiple games for either you, or other members of your family. It will set you up with a brand new game. Happy breeding!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say that I do enjoy this game, but it is very challenging to work on. It is very slow to start out with the fish, and you can lose them very easily if you are not watching your tanks. If you upgrade what you can as soon as possible, and breed just the magic fish you will be ok. Ignore the age on the fish too, it does not apply in this game, as there is no such thing as old age as far as I can tell. I hope this helps,
Maraleh

If you like creating, genetics and surprizes this game is for you. Not particularly fast-paced, it is relaxing and contemplative. Speed options are great and the fish animations are fantastic!

I absolutely love this game! I started out with Fish Tycoon by LDW on my PDA. I then quickly got Plant Tycoon for PDA by LDW. (this was several years ago, btw!) Then, I anxiously awaited the PC version of Fish Tycoon and as soon as it came out, I snapped it up! Then, when the PC version of Plant Tycoon came out, bought it in a heartbeat! Was browsing the Nintendo DS games a few weeks ago and found the DS version of Fish Tycoon..can you guess what I did? lol..I certainly did..bought it immediately! I also own all three versions of Virtual Villagers. ;) Can you tell that I love this type game? ;) I would definitely recommend them to anyone, but you *will* need some patience to play them. What I usually do is start the game running in the background (while I'm at work ) and then go about my day at work and just check back every once in a while to see what has happened. Fish Tycoon has a lovely built in screensaver that features fish from your tank swimming around. Just don't forget to feed your fish every once in a while, or they will die! You can have up to five games on both Fish and Plant Tycoons running at the same time and you can delete a game and start over. The game files can also be backed up (and if your fish die, just replace the "dead fish file" with your backed up file..eureka..live fish again! there is a program that is out there that someone created that will do that!)
