The worst megaman game ever.

When I saw this game, I was so exicited. All the battle network games have been super fun. You don't do anything in this game. You choose your chips, then watch a battle of pure luck, pressing "R" or "L" when something bad happens. See, no action at all. I highly recommend you do not this game.

A poor member of the Battle Network series

This game is just a 'filler' for hungry fans of the series while waiting for Mega Man Battle Network 4, and it shows. There's no exploration neither in the 'real world' nor in the 'net, thus no random virus battles; the only purpose of the game is to battle navis in a tournament. While this by itself wouldn't be too bad if it had the same battle structure as the other Battle Network games, this title introduces a new 'chip deck' battle system that randomly selects the chips you can use in each turn from the ones you place in your 'deck', and what's worse, the battle grid no longer allows you to move your character. The player's role in the battle is reduced to pushing a button repeatedly to see how the battle goes, and ocasionally insert one of the 'slot in' chips. The game gets boring rather quickly.

You can play with six different characters and navis, but that just changes the sprites shown and some of the story setup, nothing more. And the 'story' itself is just a quick excuse to throw the game together.

If you're a fan of the series, you'll probably get this game just to have the complete collection. But if you enjoyed the other Battle Network games and are expecting another good installment that actually contributes something to the story and gives you hours of exploration and fun, plus a battle system that doesn't leave anything in the hands of the game, wait for Battle Network 4.

Boring as heck

I own this video game and I like it very much. In one review someone said you can't battle Bass and Gateman. Well you know what you can battle them, because I have done so. Bass and Gateman are in the second part of the game (after you won the first part). I don't know about the other navis (they could be in the free battle areas). I just hope that I get some more Megaman video games for Christmas. Bye.

P.S. I'm older than 12 years old.

A game that shouldn't have been created

Mega Man has been a great game series, but Battle Chip Challenge is the worst game I've evered played. IN this game you collect battle chips and arrange them on a grid. You then enter a battle and use them on the enemy navi. Unfourtunly the chips are selected at random and since everything is done automaticly all you do is press L or R to use a chip asigned to that button, or the A button to keep things going. And don't think for a second that the process of obtaining battle chips can be fun like Nintendo Power Magazine said it would be, IT"S NOT! Are you looking for a club? Because if you were to get Mega Man BCC that's all you'll get, an expensive club. On the Scale of 1-5 this game is a -5.

Lets make it simple for you.

The game has a bad storyline, bad graphic, and way too many boring new ways of battling that makes the game horrible. I am a huge megaman fan and i am very disappointed at the way this game turned out. To make it simple for you, this game sucks. Don't buy it. It is a waste of hard earned money.

NetNavis (Playable and Opponents)

I may not have played or own this game, but on the Mega Man Home Page (by typing http://www.mmhp.net/ under game list) it says that you play as either Lan and MegaMan, Maylu and Roll, Dex and GutsMan, Chaud and ProtoMan, Kai and TurboMan, and Mary and Ring. Not only do you fight Normal NetNavis, you also fight current NetOps like Arashi, Takeo, Maddy, Count Zap, Mr. Match (he has 3 NetNavis), and others with their NetNavis including AirMan, BeastMan, ColorMan/WackoMan, ElecMan, FireMan/TorchMan, FlameMan, FlashMan, FreezeMan, HeatMan, IceMan, KingMan, KnightMan, MagicMan, MagnetMan, MetalMan, NumberMan, PlantMan, QuickMan, SharkMan, SkullMan, SnakeMan, ThunderMan, ToadMan, and WoodMan.

Too bad you can't fight Bass, BombMan/BlasterMan, BowlMan, BubbleMan, CutMan, DesertMan, GateMan, MistMan, NapalmMan/MoltanicMan, PharaohMan, PlanetMan, Punk, ShadowMan and anyone else that was in past games that I forgot because they're not in this game.

Oh come on this is a great Megaman Battle Network game you are hating here

Why does this fun game recive more bad reviews than good ones. I do not know why anyone would dislike it. To me it is possibly the best of the M.M.B.N. games. Come on this is a good game play it again and maybye then you will like it.
