I don't know why no one said anything about this game, but if it's anything like the other Lunar games, it's going to rock your world. Okay, you can push "This review was not helpful to you" now...

For those of you who have played Lunar Silver Star Story Complete for the PS, you'll find that this game is very similar to it. The only difference is that the plot has been changed a bit, but it's basically the same story. The graphics are better and the battle system is a little different, but nothing too drastic. I'd recommend this game to anyone who has played Lunar Silver Star Story Complete and to anyone who is a die hard Lunar fan like I am.
Amazingly Good

It has all of the characters for lunar silverstar story complete Alex, Luna, and even Nall (GOTTA LOVE HIM) and the story is almost the same as lunar silverstar story complete. 5*-out of-5* Buy.....Buy...Buy...

Anyone remember the Sega CD? I do (I still have mine) and one of the best games for that Genesis add-on was Working Designs' Lunar: Silver Star. Eventually it would make its way onto the PS1, and it has now arrived on the GBA with varying results. Lunar Legend is a re-telling of sorts of the original game with varying differences; such as characters showing up in different places, cities being designed different, and parts of the plot and storyline have been changed. The full motion anime cut scenes and full orchestral score obviously couldn't make the cut onto cartridge format (the anime cut scenes have been replaced by anime cels which pop up now and then), but the overall graphics of different towns and character designs are much improved over the original. Battles are much better as well by being faster paced, better animated, and more character detail than ever before. New options have been added such as the Arts Gauge and a new card collection, and menus are easier to navigate through than before, except the shop interface can be a pain now and then. All in all, if you missed out on the Lunar phenomenon that older gamers beared witness to years ago, Lunar Legend is a good pickup. Then again, if the original Lunar was a beloved game of yours, this GBA conversion won't add anything since it's missing most of it's original charm (and the overall epic feel), but nonetheless this game is still a more than solid pick up.
This game has to be good!!

I totaly agree with the person who wrote the review, "this game's going to be awesome", I mean come on it's LUNAR! I played both of the PSX versions of the games and this is a remake of the first. I hope they don't change too many things. One change I know they'll make is editing out the best dialog.(sniff sniff, so sad) And they definatly won't be able to do the cutscenes, that [is bad]! But hey, it's still LUNAR, so you can't go wrong. Hopefuly this will be the thing that brings the "LUNAR legend" back to life.
-peace out!

Alex returns in a ultra sweet RPG that's gonna go through the roof! "LUNAR Legends" for GBA, aka "LUNAR For The Go"! This game may not have Anime movies, but does have anime with in the game! Sweet, right? No worries for all you "LUNAR Veterans"! Magic is still in full effect! I see nothing, & I MEAN NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS GAME! I'd give ten for looks but yet, have no other information.
Lunar legend soon to be classic

this game is the best game since Golden Sun. i love that game too. but this games storyline is so compelling.I couldnt put it down when i bought it. i bought it on my birthday and now ill never forget this game. Becoming a dragonmaster is so cool and the spells you get are great. Great game and its the most interesting game i played yet. get this game if you want a great game.
a little glitchy, but still a great game

I was going to take away one star for the glitches, but I really, really love this game, so much so that it overshadows the bad side; The first glitch I noticed was that Burg turns a weird, brown color sometimes after the player returns to it from the Weird Forest; it goes away if the player exits and comes back, though, so it doesn't affect gameplay. The second one is the glitch that occurs when trying to use the dragon feather to exit dungeons in dungeons that can't be exited. Instead of a simple "it can't be used" type of message, it will try to use it and the character will freeze. Nothing more can be done at this point other than restarting the game pak and loading a previously saved game.
Oh yeah, there is a third glitch, but it's rather useful; reloading a game will cause all characters to have full health and magic points again. Incredibly useful for being stuck in dungeons and needing leveling up!
The graphics are excellent. I didn't know those little sprites could do so much. Alex actually moves his mouth while shouting at Ghalleon! Luna flails her arms and legs when she's captured! Characters' dialogue expressions (that's what I'm calling those pictures next to their dialogue when they talk) change according to their mood.
I love all the characters; they all have real concerns and nice quirks, helping to make them all individuals. Most of the townspeople even say different things as the story progresses.
The storyline keeps me playing almost nonstop. New things happen all the time instead of just repetitive dungeon hopping. I suppose this fulfills the side quest craving
We finally have a Lunar game on the GBA!!!

LL is a must have game, This game has it all!!! Great dialouge a very nice challenge tons of extras and rewards for those who complete the game. I usually have alot to say but I'm this game is hard to describe but trust me you'll be playing this more than once...
Gameplay
I say about 30 hours or more if your trying to get the extra stuff Rating: 5/5
Storyline
Romance, Betrayal humor(from Kyle's dimwit to adult jokes this game knows how to make you laugh) plot twist and a very gripping storyline You may actually find yourself feeling the same emotions as the charactes.
Music & Sound
I figure a game can completely ... but if the music is good it'll get a 3 out of 5 in my book. And believe me this game DOES NOT ... and the music matches the situation or characters epescially *spoiler* The Final battle music and the encounters with Tempest 5.5/5 {the only games I gave scores like this to are Sonic and Megaman (espcially Rockman & Forte)Megaman.EXE games and Golden Sun}
Graphics
They can't compare to Golden Sun but I like the anime feel to it
4.5/5
Overall This game Rivals Golden Sun in every way If you only had money to buy one I'd say save up so you can buy 'em both.
Final saying: BUY THIS GAME!
A good remake, but not quite as good as the original

Though Lunar Legend is a remake of perhaps one of the best RPGs in existence, in the remake, the characters simply have less development, the gameplay is not as intriguing nor as challenging, and the humor of the storyline has been stripped of its former self. The music in Lunar Legend stays true to its original soundtrack and the new graphics on the sprite animation is simply breathtaking, but some of the new additions to the game simply subtract from the game's former glory. If you have never played Lunar: The Silver Star Story (for PSone or Sega CD) then I would highly recommend purchasing this item, for while it is not as good as its origianl, the remake still captures the heart-filled story about a boy trying to save the girl he loves. If you HAVE played Lunar: The Silver Star Story, you MAY not want to, you will almost definately find yourself disapointed with the overall gameplay and adjustments made to the original, on the other hand, this will probably be the last chance you get to play through one of the last CLASSIC rpgs left in the gaming industry.
