When I got this game I played and played and played. I could not stop. And when I got the players guide it was even more fun. The idea is to go from gym to gym getting badges and when you have all 8 you can finish catching all 150 pokemon. I myself have a pokedex of 127. It may not be educational but it is fun for kids. I don't think adults would get into this game.

The game Pokemon Blue is an awesome game that all parents don't mind letting their kids have.It is hard to a point but you can still figure out how to do this or catch that. Also you can enjoy playing with other people via Link Cable. That's the funnest thing to do in my opinion. So this game is really a good game to have.(You can also carry it wherever you want to go).

STOP NOW BEFORE IT's TOO LATE! IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BUYING POKéMON, YOU ARE MAKING A HORRIBLE MISTAKE! I'll now examine some hypothtecal people who might buy this. If you are an avid Pokémon fan, especially a fan of the TV show, you would hate Pokémon Blue, because it does a horrible job of simulating and portraying the show. The battles have practically no stategy, and even the Pokémon's cries sound like distorted musical notes. Pokémon red and yellow are very similar. Now if you are specifically looking for Japanese RPGs, look elsewhere! In fact, go out and buy a Playststation right now, if you don't already own one. There are many great Playstation RPGs out there, including Final Fantasy 7 and Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. This is not only the worst Japaneese RPG ever, it is the worst RPG ever! It's probably not the worst game of all time, but it's one of them. So whoever you are, you definately won't enjoy this game. If this WOULD be your first RPG, take note that there are so many GREAT RPGs out there, especially on Playstation. Oh, and don't belive that games like final Fantasy 7 are too mature- I'm 11 and I loved them.

This game in my point of view, is better than the latest ones, Mainly because it was new and it was less tedious. The music is repetitive and annoying, but that is what the volume control's for. After you beat the elite four it gets less fun but being sort of OCD about getting every last unlockable in the game I don't really mind that much. I think anyone under 13 would like this game.

This is the same person that reviewed the Red Version first!! You know, the guy from Ocala, FL? Anyway, this game is almost as much fun as the Red Version, it's just a whole lot simpler. But, don't get me wrong, it's still a bunch of fun! For Pokemon Trainers that are just getting started with the Pokemon game, get this game to start of with so that you get the idea of the game and get the idea with not that much effort. Then, when you finnish the Blue Version, you shall be ready for the Red Version! Have fun!

Pokémon has to be one of the greatest, no, the best game out there for Game Boy. I found it hard to believe that it was made for original GB and not GBC. Anyway, this game has very good qualities and should be played by everyone of all ages.

I really liked this game. From the first time I turned it on up to now, I found it really interesting.The only problem with my BLUE version is there is a Team Rocket member blocking the way to Saffron Gym! I also hate that Snorlax blocking the Cycling Road on Celadon City! But overall, this is a very great and addictive game. If only I could give it a billion stars...

This game is GREAT. You want to catch as many pokemon as you can. You start out with Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. When you beat people your pokemon you beat them with gets stronger. Soon it will learn new attacks. There are 8 bosses called gym leaders. When you beat those people there are 5 more people which are the strongest people in the game. If you beat them you beat the game. The music is cool and it changes when you go different places. This game gives you puzzles to solve and many people to beat. This game also lets you battle another person that has pokemon red, blue, or yellow. Each game has different pokemon. What red doesn't have, blue has. What blue doesn't have,red has. Yellow is just when you start out with a pikachu. It will follow you everywhere.

Well If you like a simple game that can keep you on all day well then this game is for you! I got this game in kindergarden and ever since I LOVED this game! I'd come home from school every day and play it forever [yet I got to play my friend's Red Versiom every day on the bus.] In 2nd grade i did the Missingno. trick and no one knew it and I was the champ! My PKMN were at level 200 [!] and I kicked my Friends mewtwo's butt! Get now! You'll love having Missingno.!
