I received this game as a gift and found it to be time consuming but not that great. First off, you have to go back to boards you have already been to like a hundred times, which really eats my patience...secondly it's a bit vague as to which way i am supposed to go and how to get there. It's ok if you like a loooonnng game, but i am more of the super mario brothers type...

Fun but some bad points

Yes i'm 12 and am loyal to pokemon to matter what (i've played it for 8 years)i guess yellow is fine but i had a bad impressen on it when was 6. i bought it and found out that your rival hitts you out of the way and steals your eevee!!!!!!!!! That was my favorite pokemon too! =( but they make up for it with another one, too bad i didn't know that when i was 6 years old because i threw it away. p.s. i can breed eevee whenever iwant to on my emerald now so i'd buy yellow or mabe crystal.

Gah this game is worth your time

Don't get me wrong. I am a pokemon gamer but this game is way to hard! Making you start with a pikachu is sort of ok but it gets annoying hearing the little nag screeching all the time. i always found pikachus annoying. and then i have to rasise a stupid caterpie to defeat brock! i got this game to see jesse and james and so far i havn't seen them. this game is too hard i reccomend pokemon red and blue instead!

pikach tastes like chicken

I like pikachu yellow version it tastes good.no it is the most boring game in teh universe . You might like it if you Are a chinese midgit with electricty coming out of your eyes nose and ears. the most memorable time i have played the game is the time i burned it.i think my dog likes it better than me he uses it as a chew toy . if your looking for a real game not a chew toy for your dog look no further than harvest moon or legend of zelda. the first time i bought pikachu edithion it was a hard choice between it and barney roundup.this is just my opinion and my dogs

My grandma had bought me the Japanese version.. I got along with it just fine until I met Brock. Being roughly eight I had no patience to work with it, so I gave up and waited for the US release (which I later found out didn't have Mew!) and loved it. Despite the fact Pikachu isn't at all that powerful, I kept him with me the entire time and even got him to learn surf! Definitely worth the buy. It's fun, it's much more simple, and if you're an old fan it'll be all the better.

Go Pikachu!

Very Useful For Beating The Stuffing Out Of Enemies

Pokemon Yellow is very different in a lot of ways. For instance, all the appearances of the pokemon are different, you start out with Pikachu, he follows you around outside of his pokeball, and you can get the original three starting Pokes without trading. All glitches are cleared out of it, so boo-hoo. And if you like beating the poop out of the ones on Gameboy, play this with Pokemon Stadium to really beat the crap out of 'em.

Definitely the best of the first three versions released!

Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition is definitely the best of the first three versions released (Red, Blue, Yellow)! It probably will be until the Gold and Silver versions are released. The game is a little bit different, and will be different for those who have already played the Blue and Red versions. That was exactly what happened to me. The Yellow version is definitely better than the first two versions! An overall 5 stars.

a great game

Pokemon yellow is one of my favorite games [pokemon blue, pokemon red,and legend of legeia are my other favorites]. I think its better then red,and blue because eventually [with out trading]you get all three starting pokemon [Bulbasaur,Squirtle, and Charmander]and you get to fight team rocket [jessie, and james, and their pokemon:arbok, weezings, and meowth] many time in the game. its really fun

Say What?
