KABOOM!!

I've been waiting to play this game ever since the first one came out and I was not let down. You can call in air strikes, helicopters, planes, boats you name it you can get it that also goes for the explosions because in this world you can blow up absolutely everything. Have you ever played a game like this (cough* GTA) and you were pissed that you fire off a rocket into a building and nothing happens?? Well, you don't have to worry about it here you can demolish anything you want. You can strap C-4 to the hood of your vehicle, drive it 100 mph down the street, jump out and blow up anything that is in your way enemies and buildings included.

Some people will complain, the graphics aren't top notch or they didn't like the story....I personally just like watching things go boom. That's just me though I could really care less about the story because in a game like this it doesn't really matter. The game is about creating chaos and mayhem not worrying about how the character feels inside.

I love this game and I would recommend this to anyone that wants to have a good time.

Lots of glitches

When I first started playing this game I really liked it. After getting into it I repeatedly find myself disappointed. There are glitches everywhere. I cannot complete 4 or 5 missions without something to prevent my progress. The game has frozen up several times, enemy hvt's that you're supposed to transport back to base get lost in the backdrop. One even got stuck in the air way out of reach. I've become so frustrated with restarting missions I've given up on this game. I wouldnt recommend buying this game.

FIRST REVIEW! I always loved the Mercenaries game for the Ps2 so I was dying to play Mercenaries 2. I bought it this Sunday (release day) and I have been playing it every chance I get.

ADDITIONS:
Mercenaries 2 has made many changes to the style of playing but the overall idea and feel of the game is the same. More stuff to blow up, more stuff to steal, more people to kidnap, and ...water. In Mercenaries 2 you can actually play on the water (swim in it and jack boats, ect.) instead of just falling in it and dying. lol The hill falling problem has been fixed too. In the first game just walking down a mountian/hill/whatever could kill you but now you just gently slide down without harm. (thank you Pandemic) Dying is a lot harder in general. To me this is a definite plus. You can be riding in a car, it explodes, and you can still survive! ...Beats me. A new addition is Motorcycles! (My favorite add-on) They get you places faster and they're just fun to ride. Jumps are located threw some of the cities.

PLAYERS/Characters: Just like Mercenaries 1 you use 3 main mercenaries. I have only experimented with Mattias, who regains health faster (a much needed benefit) :) You also get to see Fiona Taylor. Fiona's your partner that talks to you throughout the last game. Along with Fiona you get to set up your team of mercenaries who will play roles such as: Mechanic, Helicopter pilot, Jet pilot, and more. I do not have hispeed internet so I have'nt been able to play online. BUMMER but I'm sure it's cool.

Base: Mercenaries 2 allows you to make your own base. (KINDA) It's more of a chosen base in a chosen destination with you chosen team that is chosen for you. lol But tecnically you make it yours after you kick out the people that used to live there. I love the base. It's tight.

Story: The story's pretty good. It also contains 'funny' parts. BUT I don't want to ruin anything so find out yourselve. AND if you don't want to take up any missions just wonder around Venezuela. It's just as fun.

An AMAZING game!!! 5 out of 5 stars for sure.
