The X-Files Game

The X-Files game has the best fmv's of any game I've ever played. It's an involving game that takes a lot of time to complete. It gets confusing at times-you get lost as to what to do next and end up walking in circles for a while. But, for fans of the show, interest should hold out long enough. I do think they needed to have an option added to the game-choice of characters(ex:Willmore, Mulder, Scully, Asta). Overall the game was pretty good, but has no real replay value.
pretty good but a bit slow

I love x-files but the game doesn't rate as high. Although I enjoyed parts of the game I spent a lot of time wondering around with nothing to do. I eventually found a cheat page on the web and the game moved a lot faster. The biggest problem I found with this game is that when it's over--it's over. 4 CD's and several days later your left with a $40 CD you don't really want to play again because you're already solved the mystery! Oh well- it was fun to play while it lasted.
X-files disappointment

I liked the game to an extent, but felt it was very limited in the way you were able to go about finding the solutions, etc. It was a one way only, game. I also felt it was a little slow, especially, when your ideas didn't happen to coincide with the way the game was set up. It did have some good points and was enjoyable, in many ways, but for a 4 disc game I felt it lacked options and replay ability.
Great Game one Problem

The X-Files Game is a great adventure/mystery game. I could'nt stop playing once I started. Great story, cool missions. ONE PROBLEM I beat it in one day! And it has NO REPLAY VALUE! Once you beat it once then thats it! It's no fun to play again because you know whats going to happen. I suggest you rent it instead of buying it, because it only takes about 8hrs to beat. But still, it's deffinately worth checking out!
Should make more like this one!

They should definetly make more games like this one. I'm not much of a game player myself. I bought a Playstation for my husband and decided to try X-files because I really enjoy the show. I was hooked after the first five minutes!
What an exciting game! I found myself staying up most weekend nights playing. Everytime I was ready to call it a night, I would find another clue to keep me going. I highly recommend this one. I have even been searching for similar games to buy.
Cool Game!

I really liked the x files game. I'm a big x files fan, but I don't think this game is for you if you have not seen the show or don't like it. Personally, however, it's the best! The graffics are cool and the plot is good. It's like starring in your own episode.
Good game, but no replay value

This game is entertaining and will take a while to finish. However, there is absolutely no replay value. Mulder and Scully don't show up until late in the game, but that doesn't really detract from the fun. X-Files fans will like it but if you are not a fan of the TV show, don't buy it.
Totally Fun!

FMV does NOT a video game make....

When will people learn that stuffing 4 CD's full of Full Motion Video (FMV) does *not* make a video game? X-Files:The Game is more like an interactive movie that a computer game. This genre died with Night Trap on the Sega CD. However, if you're an X-Files fan and enjoy a good 'whodunnit' this game is still a good buy (just try to find it on sale).
Awesome game, man

This is an awesome game. It's inventive, fun to look at, and challenging. It makes you use your brain and you have to actually work hard to win it. All in all, a great game.
