Terribly fun trivia game for all ages - literally. Up to four people can play & the questions are actually adjusted to meet the participant's age levels! Sweet. The topics are well chosen, the questions are varied, the Wii pointer works dead on the money. You buzz in by snapping the wiimote backward, feels rewarding.
This is a great trivia game for friends or for family gatherings around the holidays... not too hard to include the kids and not easy for adults. It's bright and friendly and very inviting to both gamers and non-gamers. Feels like everyone playing a really fun board game, except it's much more fun.
Family fun for all ages/Great Icebreaker

We brought Smarty Pants to Christmas dinner, and the wii generation was playing this game. The elders and non-gamers could see and hear the game from the side and started to pay attention and join in. Soon thereafter, our parents were playing a round themselves! While "competitive," the entire family started to help all four players, making for great memories and laughs. It is an easy platform for fun and icebreakers at parties. The game is most fun if there is a group of people. I could not imagine it being fun with just two people.
The drawback to the game is that we did see some recycled questions within the two games played. And in some instances, the questions didn't make sense though age appropriate. However, everyone started jumping in to eliminate the wrong answers. Now who's got the quickest thumb to buzz? A bunch of laughs within itself.
Awesome game for everyone!

This is a review from an international perspective. I bought the game three days ago without hesitation since I love brain games (I highly recommend Brain Academy: Wii Degree), but I was disappointed to find out that most of the questions are based on American culture, American sports, American science, American history ...etc. I tried to reduce the age limit, but it didn't do me or my family any good. The bottom-line, if you didn't study in American schools and was not raised the American way, be a real smarty pant and don't buy the game.
I gave the game three starts, and I am being generous. I gave one star for using the Mii, one star for graphics, and one star for the idea of the game. The game looses two stars for being misleading and using the term "Everyone" for marketing; the game is not age-friendly and not for people from the rest of the world.
Best Family Game for the Wii Period!

We absolutely love playing this game! Family game night has become a Smarty Pants night...the board games are growing dust.
This is a very fun game because each player enters their age so I can play with my all of my kids at one time and no one has an advantage. Not to mention the kids love the silly things you have to do like tug of war and spinning of the wheel
I would recommend this to anyone...its also quite a bit of fun with friends over and a few glass of wine :)
If you own a Wii you should pick this one up!

What is really neat about this is that it is AGE oriented meaning that questions correspond with a person's age. That said, being that I don't know a lot about a lot of subjects and am more "specialized" for lack of a better word, I got a lot of wrong answers. No matter, I went back and lied about my age (told it I was 20 when I'm really 40) and it was a little better.
The entire family played this togehter and we had a lot of laughs! Having to "dance" or "wave" to get more time is ingenious! Here you go - play a trivia game for the Wii but you STILL HAVE TO KEEP MOVING! Thus you can get your exercise while playing. And we all laughed at each other and our silly dance moves.
Something else that was nice - at the end, it seems that everyone gets an award - even if you miss every question (as I did while still playing as a 40 year old). I often got the "fastest" answer award; my youngest got the award for getting three out of four correct in a given category, et cetera. So you can keep your spirits up and not feel bad. Besides that, we all helped each other. My husband and dad shouted out answers to the sports questions - I gave answers on science and we all were amazed at what we didn't know about fashion!
Fun - but it IS Trivia! I think it's best with a crowd.

This game was purchased for our family to play. I had read somewhere online that it was for ages 3-85+... But upon getting the game, it was 10+. I originally got it for my 4-year-old, but we have to help her read/answer the questions. So it becomes mommy and child versus daddy. It still gives us good fun, but wish there was a younger version. Cant have it all, I guess. Will definitely be fun for teens and adult parties. There definitely is a wide variety of questions. And you enter your age at the beginning of the game, so your questions are tailored to your generation. The price is a bit high, should be 39.99 or a little cheaper, but it is better than some of the 50-plus dollar games I have bought in the past (Cars, Smooth Moves).
Great trivia game, and great all-around family title!

I bought this game hoping it would be fun for when other couples come over to play, and I was right. This game is loads of fun. HUGE replay value for parties/company and other mulit-player opportunities, as there are some 20,000 questions. I have yet to get a repeated question! I also love the fact that the questions are catered to the age of the audience. I recently played with a group ranging from 16 years old to 28 years old, and we were all engaged and able to have a good time! I LOVE the mini games, and also the fact that you actually have to raise your hand to buzz in is CRAZY fun! Playing in WAGER mode (where everyone has to shoot targets to determine the value of questions) is lots of fun, especially when you end up tackling someone who keeps making the points too low because they are winning and dont want you to catch up!!! LOL... good times. The fact that players can "nudge" the wheel after it has stopped was surprisingly fun as well. Be sure to pick this one up! You wont regret it.
'Smarty Pants' - A Trivia Game Worth Owning!

I got 'Smarty Pants' for my girlfriend, and it is one of the most entertaining multiplayer experience on the Wii, especially if you have a group of friends with differing areas of expertise. There are many fun twists to the gameplay, such as 'cards' that you might earn that give you abilities such as passing a question or giving your opponent a more difficult question. 'Spinning the Wheel' to choose categories with the motion control of the Wii-Remote is very engaging, as is 'flipping' back and forth between categories with your opponents in the final moments that the wheel is spinning.
At its heart, this game focuses on the Trivia, with over 20,000 questions in various categories such as 'Art,' 'Science,' and 'Fashion.' Everyone is given some kind of award for 'fastest buzz in' or 'Science Expert' for getting the most questions in a certain category, so even the losers can take refuge that they were the best at something. All statistics such as average ring in time and amount of correct questions are saved with each Mii.
In a final note, the Mii support in this game is excellent for a third party and the animations with your little characters are very well done and entertaining. This game is very great fun and I promise that the trivia fan(s) in your life will not be disappointed!
