My nine year old like this. I played it once and I am a true beginner. It was okay, but someone versed in games would get bored quickly. For the money, it was worthy it.

I gave this tomy daughter for her 11th bday, along with the DS and she loves it. She loves their music and in order to "unlock" their songs, you must pass levels. Keeps her going for a while.

Ally and Aj game is great.If you love Rythym and Music games then this is for you.
You earn points by minigames and tg\here also is the story/adventure choice.What I like is you can choose Easy,Normal,Hard.This should be a choice in every Bintendo Game.This is part of the eason I purchase this type of game,if it only has Normal it can easily become frustating and thereforeI get fed up or the kids get fed up and it's never used,then if you finidh easy you can go on to normal,then hard therefore having 3 games in one(kinda).This is also good cuz I have a 10 year old who uses easy,My 13 year old uses normal and I use normal or Hard depending on how good I am.
In this game you put the musical notes in place and remember where they were as they just faded away,and get graded A,B.C,D,E,F depending on memory.
Then there is a type of matching game where like make up will slowly come up from the background and you have to match it with 1 of three things(in this case its make-up and lipstick,or a diary will come up and you click on the key.
Also you tap out beats of 3 colors to one of their songs ,when the purple note goes in the purple space,you tap it w/ your stylus.
This game uses the stylus ALOT and I love using the stylus.I also love music ,Rythym games that use the stylus.This game is great for 10 year olds and up,even MOMS will like it .I love Disney Games and I love Girl Games.
I can't waitb till Bratz Slumber Party comes out next month and the other new Bratz,lso High School Musical 3.
With all the violence games out today ,its nice to see that the rated E for eferyone games can be just as fun,if not funner,
