I just recently bought this game, and I have to say this is THE best NBA game ever! The graphics are as real as it gets for N64. The control for the players is superb. There's so many different options to choose from. This game is definatly worth to buy!

If your looking for great graphics and some additional options than this is your game. The Dunk Contest is a great feature but it makes is super difficult to make dunks. And whether you get VC,Kobe, or Shawn Bradley they all dunk the same. 3 point contest and all teams + players is great but it's missing that great opition a game like NBA Live 2000 brings with the Old School Legends.

IT WAS GREAT!!!

This game was great! Before going to NBA JAM or NBA LIVE try this...unlike live and jam you can accutally trade player. Its really cool so don't even bother getting a newer game after this because you can jsutg edit the teams so they have the current players. BUY IT SOON!!!!!!

One of the worst games I've ever played.

I've played many, MANY NBA games in my life, but none have ever been as bad as this.

Controls: This is probably the only thing on the game that doesn't completely suck. The controls are okay to use, but after playing two full 3 minute games, I still have no idea which buttons do what.

Graphics: One word can describe the graphics: horrible. Now, some of you may be saying "Well, it's an old game, so of course the graphics won't be that good". While it's true that this is an old game, that's no excuse. Even NBA Live '99 (which was made a full year before this) has better graphics. The player pictures look like a huge square blur (however, you can make out a selected few, but the ones that are clear are really un-detailed. They're so bad that Keith Van Horn looks like a black guy). It doesn't get any better when you actually start to play the game either. Really, there's hardly any way to tell which players are which - they all just look like grainy blocks moving up and down a grainy court. Don't even get me started on how bad the crowd looks...

Gameplay: The most important part of a game, and the worst part of the game for In The Zone 2000. First of all, it's almost impossible to win. Even when the game is on easy, you lose everytime. The computer makes every single basket they take, even if you guard them or try to block their shots. On the other hand, every basket you take misses. Even expert shooters like Reggie Miller can't even make a shot when they're right by the basket. The free throw system is the worst I've ever seen in a basketball game. After playing this game for a while, I still haven't figured out just what I'm supposed to do to get it in - nothing seems to work.

I only paid two bucks to rent this game for 7 days, but I still feel ripped off. The only good that came out of this game is that it's always nice to feel nostalgic over the old rosters. I'm really glad that they stopped making any new In The Zone games.
