It could really go either way

I was ultimately disappointed in this game, although I really thought it had a lot of potential. The summary itself looked really good.

It works as a reverse dating sim without the hentai. you play as a girl and can fall in love with a number of different guys. So how did they mess up?

First of all the humor in it fringes on retarded at times. This girl Sayori was transported a thousand years into the past and the bodyguards and pretty much everyone else in the game are making references to video games, anime, "Back to the Future" being their favorite movie, etc. Some of the comments were funny, but I thought they really overdid it.

Second of all, the characterization started out good, but when it got to the actual romance between the two characters I thought it started to lose a lot of meat and potatoes. It was just like, you picked me and so I'm suddenly in love with you. There wasn't much drama in the actual relationships, although they did have to deal with the fact that Hatsuhime's life was in danger. Hmmm...The villians were lackluster, killed too easily. The original Hatsuhime was sort of a stupid, spoiled brat.

I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone, although sometimes it was kind of funny, when it wasn't trying too hard to be funny.
