Great game. Even after all these years, the graphics still amaze. Nintendo revamped this title with more details and cute minigames that will have you entertained for hours!

I don't have the GBA DKC, but I do have the earlier SNES version. I play over and over and can still find new bonus levels, tricks and secrets (I recently beat it with a 101% complete rating). The gameplay is orignial, and so are the levels. I hope the re-make DKC 2 and 3 as well. I would really like a whole new Donkey Kong Country game (DKC4) to come out as well. Anyway, get this game today! It's a Nintendo classic and probably one of the best they have ever published!

I was very excited to hear that the 94 classic SNES game which i loved so much was coming to GBA. The worlds are identical to the ones in the original which means you don't have to learn any new worlds if you played the original. The sound aint too great but wat can you expect for a GBA game which only has 1 speaker. Unless you have SP or worm light or something like that it might be a little difficult to see your DK and Diddy(i mean it takes place in a jungle with a lot of dark colors). The gameplay is great, the bosses aren't a pretty easy except for like the last 2, and overall its fairly easy. Despite its few problems I still gotta say its as good or maybe even better than the original. You have to buy this one, you wont regret it.
Whoa!

What a great game. Anyone who has played the Super Nintendo version of this game will apreciate this version. When this games came out for the SNES it was considered one of the greatest games of all time. DKC is filled with enthralling gameplay and a somewhat compeling story. This game has a lot of variety in it. There is vineswinging, platform jumping, minecart riding, many boss battles, and you can even ride on rhinos, ostrihches, and sword fishes. In the game your banana hoard was stolen by kremlings sent by King K. Rool and you play as Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong to retreive them. You can switch with Donkey and Diddy on the fly by pressing the select button. Anyone who owns a Game Boy Advance doesn't have an excuse not to buy this game. You have to pick it up.

Although it's not nearly as good as the SNES version, it's still a pretty cool game. The graphics are a little bit better than I expected. However, the gameplay is more complicated and some of the added sounds are annoying (like whenever Donkey Kong falls and makes an annoying scream). The music is okay. The enemies are a lot easier to bump into, even if you own a Game Boy Advance SP. Some of the levels are out of order and a couple of the bosses are more difficult to beat. The balloons float a lot faster and you can't jump as good as what you could on the SNES version. In my opinion, this game gets 3 1/4 stars. Still, it's a great game to carry around while traveling. It's fun, more challanging, and not bad for a hand held game.

Donkey Kong is a fun arcade style game. You can play either Donkey or Diddy while you slice through the baddies. It gets harder and harder at each level so I reccomend a stradegy guide. To me Diddy is more faster and swifter than Donkey but Donkey is bigger and stronger. It's grahics are a huge improvment and is very clear to see if you have gameboy advance SP or a worm light. It is a good and challenging experiance ,trust me you will kiss your gameboy because you got through the level. You will slow down once a while but you will get the hang of it.
Graphics 4.5
Gameplay 5
Fun Factor 5
Improvment 5
Overall this game deserves a sweet crispy 5.

The graphics are some of the better I've seen on the GBA, but the animation is what gets me. The sound is good, and so is the music. It is tough at times - so tough you want to destroy your GBA. But the moment fades, and then you start liking your GBA again. The mini-games are fun, especially Candy's Dance Studio. The music is quite groovy. The ending of the game made me feel like I had fulfilled my journey, which is good, because there's nothing worse than a game that leaves you hanging. I recommend this game even if you've never played Donkey Kong before.
