Defender is a good example of classic arcade. You have 4 different ways to play. The most modern ones are the two player and the XGP versions. The other two are both the old timed classic versions. The pros of the game are: 1.Many different ships to chose from 2.A breifing room to give you a look at what your facing 3.Will not finish in a day 4.Adjustable diffuculty settings 5.Good graphics 6.Multiple worlds to battle on. The only con of the game is that there is no save option or passwords. This gets to be very frustrating when you are far and you lose. All in all though, this is a good game that will keep you playing.

Don't defend this!

Like other "updated" Defenders this is garbage. Anyone who played the Jaguar Defender knows what I'm talking about.

This game goes down low!

You are the Defender, saving the human race from weird Manti aleins.... Yeah, that saying could really get people into buying this game, trust me and play the regular one on the internet instead.
The graphics aren't too good, there is animated blood in there too but it stinks. There isn't any music in the levels unless you call silence music. The sound is sort of irritating because there isn't any music to accompany it. The only reason I gave it a three and not a one is because I had a little fun, but the fun dies out when you realize there are only 6 stages in the advanced version.

This game is short and I recommend it to hardcore arcade players
from ages 9-50. Others would hate it like my sister.

Defender is a game where you protect Planet Earth with hi-tech jets, lasers, and missiles. If you're looking for a classic that's challenging this is the game for you.Its a bit confusing at first then you get the hang of it.My dad said it is similiar to the one they had when he was a kid but the graphics are way cooler. The thimg that makes it better is its just like at a arcade if you use your weapons you can't have them back,if you die you have to reastart all the way at the very beginning!!

Defender is classic gaming at it's best. I especially like the updated background. Really cool for the retro gamer, but may be too symplistic for the new generation of gamers.

Game is not worth it

I bought this game, looking for a space shooter type game (something similar to Gradius or Galaga) to play when I was travelling. Game was too hard (a puzzle game more than a shooter game), and not very fun. Hard to control. Unless you really love Defender, try a different game.
