I Dare you not to buy this Game - fun stuff!

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 6 / 6

This game was a blast from start to finish. It showed cool pictures that had to be unlocked. You get to see scenes from the movie as well as old comic book covers that give you a history and a background. Playing the familiar characters was fun and there were many interesting enemies to battle. I recommend this game for anyone that has a gameboy as it is a good superhero game with many challenges and cool features and secrets to find.

This is what a Daredevil game should be

The new movie looks great, the toy is very cool, and the first Daredevil video game is also quite fun. This game has very good graphics, with vibrant colors and detailed backgrounds depicting the street's of Hell's Kitchen. Play as Daredevil, utilizing his super senses, radar, acrobatic ability, billy club, and fighting skill to take down enemies ranging from your common thug to Bullseye, or the Kingpin himself. The game will lead player's through what is a loose adaptation of the movie story, implenting some comic book elements as well. The controls are good and the game is fun. A worthy preview of the movie. I don't know if you're willing ot ...on it, though. It's a somewhat short ride, and probably suited more to fans of the movie or of Daredevil. It's a fun game, but think before you buy.

Average side scroller comic beat 'em up fare

No doubt there will be more Daredevil fans worldwide with the release of the mega budgeted film starring Ben Affleck, so let the marketing ploys begin. When playing Daredevil for the GBA, one will wonder how much more great this game could have been had DD's abilities (namely his super radar senses) been better implemented. Aside from that, the game is standard side scrolling beat 'em up fare that was seen so much in the 16-bit era (thanks Acclaim) with look alike enemies and backgrounds. However, Daredevil does have some good going for it. If you beat the game (it doesn't take long to get through the 23 levels), you can play again to collect all the DD icons throughout the game which will allow you to view images from the film, comic illustrations, alternate costumes, and a level select among a bombardment of other secrets. The movie versions of Elektra and Bullseye are here, as is the Kingpin, plus foes from the comic series such as Sewer King, Turk, and Echo. The graphics are really nothing spectacular and don't show off any of the GBA's capabilities like it could have. The cinematic-esque soundtrack is unusually good, and the controls are mindnumbingly simple. All in all, Daredevil isn't necessarily a bad game for the GBA, and fans of the comic or film should check it out, but it just annoys me a bit (and other long time Daredevil fans as well) of how great this game could have been if some more polish and thought went into it.

Dare the Devil

One of the best games for the GBA. The control is great, and the action is unstoppable. Unlike THE SUM OF ALL FEARS it has the same style as the movie. The graphics, the light, the enemies, the dialogues, even the music( though it is not from the movie) will remind you that awesome film!
And after the 23 levels are over, the fun isn't over! You have a lot of things to unlock( if you want to). I have finished this game once, and I have only unlocked half of those. Reminds SPIDER-MAN: THE MOVIE, huh? Only this is more difficult.
So, even you hated the movie( I can't see how could anyone hate this movie, but anyway...), you'll enjoy it. What? You don't have it? Run like the wind right now, and buy it!!!

Bad Game---NOT WORTH YOU MONEY

This is the type of game where you think it's going to be good, but then totally regret you get it after you got it. The graphics make the NES look like a god, the sound is horrible, and the plot is long and worthless. This must be one of the worst games I have ever played, and that is an exaggeration.

Bullseye, Daredevil, Kingpin, and Elektra all the way!

This game is extremely underrated. I love it so much! The graphics are terrific(as far as Game Boy games go), your choice of what power Daredevil uses is wicked cool, and on top of it all, the best characters other than Daredevil are in it! I mean, Bullseye is my favorite Daredevil villain of all time! He's the second to last boss, and is usually as much of a challenge as he should be. As well as that, Kingpin is the second best villain next to Bullseye, and the way he swings his fists is awesome. Elektra is just as much of a hot babe as she always was(and is one of my favorite fighters in the Marvel Universe)and she really kicks butt till you beat her. The other bosses, like Echo and Kirigi, are quite worth fighting. Daredevil is a terrific game, and it is especially nice to see DD and Elektra be friends and both be after Kingpin and of course Bullseye. And the many thugs you face are hilarious! You want a good game? Get this one, by all means!

Whay were they thinking?

The Daredevil movie was good, but this game has little to do with it (other than the picture on the box). Forget the storyline, or the repetitive gameplay, or the boss battles, and even the radar sense...where's the save function on here? There is none! That's right! Instead of being able to save your game, you have to write down the "passcode" they give you to get you back to your place in the game. Not since the wonderful days of the SNES have we resulted to such an idiotic method of saving games! And don't tell me the capability isn't there, because they have it in virtually every other GBA game out there. The sound effects are fine, the graphics are pretty good, and the response is ok. If you're just a huge fan of DD, grab a pen and paper to remember your save code and go for it. Not recommended.

Should have just stayed with making the movie.

About the only thing the DD GBA game has going for it is the fact that it doesn't star Ben Afleck (and in a game this bad it's a good thing). The Man Without Fear deserves better than this brain-dead side-scroller that takes players on a listless jaunt throught Hell's Kitchen to beat up people using feeble martial arts and acrobatics. Yawn-inducingly generic level design and lousy graphics might have been forgivable had they implemented this neat little invetion called COLLISION DETECTION that games use today, although using DD's radar sense to detect hidden items and boss weaknesses is kind of cool. Still, see the movie before you play this [game] so you'll get some thrill out of it.

HORRIBLE; Proves Daredevil Game SHOULD NOT be Made!!!

Feeling like like making a mistake? Buy this game, then! Made its bad graphics, impossible passwords, and lack of fun will convince you what a mistake you made. Enjoy fighting crappy unpopular bosses like the Sewer King, the Hand ninja klan thing,Echo (easiest boss), and the first boss (harder than Kingpin)Elektra, who has suddenly, without any explanation, has sprung back to life. Fighting Bosses just depends on luck, no strategy. Enjoy your waste of money!!
