What is with this piece of crud!? It's horrible, graphics stink, the gameplay is wretched, and the crummy battle system forces you to not be able to customize your own weapons. It was possibly the worst game of 2003, and all you do is stab people!!!!!! If you have $30 to spend, spend it on Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga!!! Overall this game is the worst I have ever played!! DO NOT BUY THIS HUNK OF $%*&!!
A bit short of a Castlevania

Castlevania AOS has great graphics, and music, but my only complaint is it's way too short. But still, it's still a game worth buying if you're into Castlevania.I would buy Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance first, then AOS.
Every bit as good, and better, than Symphony of the Night!

For people who fell in love with Castelvania: Symphony of the Night for the PSX, prepare to be dazzled yet again by Aria of Sorrow! The Soul system is easy and fun to use, the locales you'll explore in the castle are beautiful, the music is awesome, and plays as smoothly as you could ask.
If you are a big fan of Castlevania, this is THE Castlevania to pick up. If you aren't a big fan of Castlevania, then this is still the one game you should run out and buy! I couldn't recommend it any higher.
May be quite possibly the best Castlevania ever...

While the past two GBA Castlevania's were good, this one is leaps and bounds ahead of them.
The Soul system of this game is brilliant and is quite addicting. However, getting the souls of every monster in this game can be quite time consuming. Though, one expensive ring does make this task much easier...
And the main character, Soma, just looks downright cool.
Plus the dozens of swords, hammers, spears, and even guns he can get all behave differently and are unique. No two weapons look or act the same.
And its just plain fun to swing a sword twice the size of your main character. :)
The challenge in this game can be a bit high in some areas but never leaves you frustrated.
Add to the fact that this game has hidden final bosses, hidden areas, a special arena mode which earns you rare and awesome weapons, a hidden playable character, and a mode which allows you to restart the game with all your items intact makes this game a gem and a real joy to play. Also, there is a special Hard mode which can earn you rare items like Deaths Scythe and a werewolf killing Silver Gun.
All in all, this game plain old rocks and will give you plenty of enjoyment and fun for your money. Pick it up, you wont be sorry.
Best for the advance

Castlevania Aria of Sorrow was my second Castlevania game
I played. I got to tell you it is probably the best game
for the GBA. This one was probably the most easiest
Castlevania game to beat, but it was also the most fun.
The graphics are outstanding for the Gba. The game takes
you about 10 hours to beat. When you think you've passed
the game, there is really another ending to it. The ending
really surprised me. Even if you have not played any
Castlevania games, this one should be your first. Go out
there and buy it. You will be glad you did.
Definately short!

I loved the idea of the customizable souls, and Soma is an awesome character... but there were plot holes you could drive a truck through, (e.g. "Soma is a foreign exchange student studying at a Japanese high school. One day, he is sucked into the eclipse with his childhood friend Mina Hakuba..." right...) but all in all an enjoyable SOTN style game. Better than Harmony of Dissonance!
Plain and Simply Awsome!

This game has got to be one of the best games for the GBA! I own all three of the Castlevania installments to the GBA and this is by far the best! First off they have eliminated most of the needless backtracking, which is a plus to anyone who is considering this as their first Castlevania game for the GBA. Also, instead of a stupid whip you have swords!(and for you who like the whips, they have a whip-sword). Anyway, this is by far the best Castlevania game i have played, a must have!
Sweetest Game Ever

Aria of Sorrow is the best Castlevania game for GBA. It is a little hard to collect all of your enemy's souls; but if a friend has the game also you can link up and trade some souls. It's a confusing when you first try to use your souls. All & All it's way easier then Circle of the Moon; but harder than Harmony of Dissoince. I have all three so, I know.
If you've got a gba or ds, you gotta get this game!

Castlevania Symphony of the Night is probably my favorate game ever, definatly my favorate castlevania game so far,and this one comes very close. Although Soma Cruz the main protagonist looks like a 65 year old ugly women, but is actually a guy, i still found this to be my favorate game on gba. Instead of spells of subweapons, soma has Power of Domminence which lets him steal souls of his enemies and use their abilities. so occasionally while fighting an enemy u will get their soul and be able to use their power. there r 3 types of souls and 3 pieces of gear u can equip at once. this adds a strategy into the game. Although not the longest game out there, you will want to replay it. It features 3 different endings as well as Julius Belmont a playable character when you beat the game with Soma. This is a great gba game. If you have never played castlevania before this is a good place to start and if you are a Castlevania fan, you wont be disapointed.
one more thing, however there is a **SPOILER ALERT BELOW**
One more thing to top of this great game, Alucard, the main protagonist from Symphony of the Night is in this game, although he is in disguise and referred to as Genya Arikado. He isnt playable unfortunatly, but in the DS sequel to this game Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, he is playable.
