Perfect for my daughter

My daughter is a huge fan of Go, Diego, Go! - She's memorized the songs, we've been to see the stage show, and when this game came out I thought finally something other than wii Play that might be interesting to her. It was far better than my expectation - she picked up the controls in the first 10 minutes and then was giggling and having a blast as she ran, jumped and mastered swinging on vines or the zip cord - she had far more fun than i thought she could in the first 30 min of play. 2K had done a great job with the voice talent, the pacing and the controls for are easy enough for a 3 year old to pick up and enjoy.

Fun, But Pricey for Limited Play Options

I will start by saying my 3.5 year old does love this game. He has fun playing it and the actions necessary to complete the tasks are age appropriate, but I fear he will get bored with it soon.
One con is that Diego goes through the adventure with Baby Jaguar, but you can't control Baby Jaguar. There is a helper option in the adventure mode, but the options to use it are too infrequent for a child to play as a second player (it is designed for parents to help with tasks, not 2 player play).
Another issue is the safari adventure play option is VERY short. Even my 6 year old made a comment "Wow, I think you did the whole thing already, that's weird". We finished it in a few hours of play over one weekend. Compared to the depth and effort put into games like Mario Space Galaxy and Lego Star Wars, which are only $10 more, the simplicity of this game is a little shocking.
Besides safari mode, the only other mode is racing. Races take 1-2 min to complete and have only a single 'track' for each race with no increasing levels making it boring.
In my opinion this game sells preschoolers short. Compared to games for other systems geared to preschoolers (think Leapster or V.Smile). They could have added so many more game options.... but this game delivers just the bare minimum.
I'll end on a positive - my son does enjoy this game and thinks it is fun. I would recommend it as a fun game for the 3-5 crowd, it is way too simple for older kids. My main complaint is quality vs. price. If you can, share it with a friend and split the cost or wait for the price to come down.

My 4yr old loves this game!

I got this Wii game for my sons 4th birthday, he has an older brother who is 7 and is always trying to play his games and has difficulty. The controls are easy for him to understand, he can play and beat levels on his own. If your kids are diego fans they will love this game and so will you.

Great Game - for Little Ones

I have a 5 year old daughter who loves the Wii but has been having a hard time playing some of the other games out there due to difficulity levels. This is perfect it is quite simply for her to figure out and I don't even have to help her out most the time except to tell her to go back and check the shaking tree. I would reccomend this game to anyone with little kids who want to try out the game system.

Yes, the game is simple for older kids and might not have the longest run time. But for the younger ones, it is just enough for their smaller attention spans and it allows them to be able to play the game by themselves.

This is an incredible game for young kids. Ever since purchasing our Wii I've been looking for a good game our 3 1/2 year old can play. This game has it all. While she hasn't been a big fan of Diego (she prefers Dora) she fell right into this game.

For the most part all she has to do is tilt the remote left and right. While she isn't able to collect all items, and often runs past a rock or a tree without shaking something loose, she's always able to get to the end of the level and save the animal. She loves the special moves, but is equally enthralled with simply running and jumping.

I was nervous that our daughter was still too young to enjoy the game, but she and I played together for half an hour or so, and she's now able to play by herself (though she prefers when we interact with her as she plays).

Great game which I'd recommend to anyone with young kids, but also with some options to keep it interesting for older kids (such as collecting all items to get a badge).

Perfect for 3-Year-Olds!!!!

I've been on the hunt for games that my 3-year-old daughter can play either on her own or with me. Super Mario Galaxy is still too difficult, and she hurts her arms playing Wii Boxing, but Go Diego Go was perfect.

The first time playing, I had to largely coach her. The second time, I had to sit next to her for her comfort, but she was more than capable of handling the controls. The third time, she did it all on her own and finished the game. Now she's asking me to play it again.

There is a two-player racing minigame included. She hasn't let me play it yet. For a bootstrapping game for kids to get used to how sidescrolling adventure games work... this game is brilliant.

We love it!!

I bought this for my 4 year old and he has lovd it!! It is easy for him to do and it keeps him entertained for a while. Even my 3 year old can play this game. I wish there were more Wii games for this age group. This one is great b/c they can play by themselves.

I played this game with my daughter who is 4 and it was a blast. The feature which allows the parent to 'help' the child with the 2nd remote is very innovative. Also the game is very educational and teaches kids.

My 4 1/2 year old LOVES this game. He has mastered the CARS Wii Game, and this Diego was simple for him to learn. I liked that it actually spoke when the instructions were on the screen. So my son did not have to yell for me to read each directions. His favorite is still CARS, but did play this all week at first, now just occasionally. He is waiting for his birthday to receive CARS 2 Maternational. This game should be at the 19.99 - 24.99 price point, as there are not that many advanced sections.
