Immerse Yourself in A Gothic Fantasy!

I bought this collector's edition game as a gift for my son. He's 16 and he LOVES it! He has the entire series of this game and has enjoyed them all.

In this game, The Devil May Cry 4, they have brought back old characters as well as new. If you're a fan of the older games, you're sure to love this one as well. But, if this is the first game you've bought in this series, you can still jump right in and have fun. It's not like you need to know much of the past to play.

A Blend of familiar and new characters: newcomer Nero clashes with vetern Dante plus there are appearances from Trish, Lady and a few others from the DMC series. Various new characters and enviornments make the play level better than ever.

Nero easily charges up his sword with a throttle effect, revving up to three levels with powerful and unique attack options. New "Devil Bringer" arm opens up a range of never seen before combo options.

The games itself is beautiful and the graphics are amazing! The collector's edition did come with a few items that the regular game did not. I believe the extra items include Volume 1 of ADV Film's Devil May Cry - The Animated Series on DVD, Making of Devil May Cry 4 bonus DVD, soundtrack, artbook, PC extras and special steelbook case ESRB Rated M for Mature.

The "steelbook case" is a nice heavy-metal case with a plastic protection slip cover. It's a really nice package and my son has been having a great time with it this weekend and he's definitely a serious gamer! This game has a "gothic" feel. A great game that you are sure to get lost in!

I would highly recommend this game as well as the rest of this series!

Very worth while Special Edition, you get the OST,art, videos and other nifty stuff on the bonus disc, and you get 4 eps of the Devil May Cry series that's worth a good chunk of money. And of course you get the game, which is possibly the best Devil May Cry game yet, faster, more weapons, combos and styles an a new character that plays very different from Dante (or Vergil from DMC3). Difficulty is right up there with the first and 3rd one, (Important: the DEMO was on the easy mode!) they made a new bloody palace that is far harder than the others. If you're going to get DMC4, get the CE, it's got enough included to actually be worth getting.

I had high hopes for this "Next Gen" version of Devil May Cry, and on visuals and fun it does not fail. The new character Nero is a blast to play as and Dante is fun as always and also bring a new toy with him Pandoras Box which is also awesome. The levels and bosses are done rather well despite one big problem, most of them you have to retraverse through the levels as Dante and fight the same bosses, are you kidding me? But that is by far my biggest gripe about the game as it is filled with all the Devil May Cry goodness that were in the other games.
If you like action games and don't mind back tracking and fighting the same bosses (Nero and Dante do control a bit differently than one another making fights a little less repeatitive) then I say pickup this game, cause it is a solid action game.
