Unreal Tournament is da bomb!

Better than Quake 3 in one player mode. Addictive and fun. Of course the multiplayer is good too with 4 player split screen like Goldeneye, it is a party game.

You can find this game for about 10 dollars now, and its one of the best, and most entertaining games on Dreamcast. It has provided me hours upon hours of entertainment, and i'm still not tired of it. There are so many weapons like the Chainsaw, Minigun, Pulse Gun, and more. It does get a little bloody, but if your alright with that it wont matter.

Here are some Cheat codes for the game. You hit Pause while you are in a game, put this in with your control pad, and unpause.

INFINITE AMMO:
Left, Right, Left, Right, Right, Left

IMMORTALITY:
Left, Left, Right, Right, Down, Up

REPLENISH HEALTH:
Down, Down, Down, Left, Up, Right

On the PC, Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament seem to be the biggest names in the FPS genre. Quake 3 was released on the Dreamcast and although it had it's problems, it was an excellent conversion. Now comes Unreal Tournament, which is sadly, not acceptable in many cases. Although to me it seems faster than the PS2 version (the load times especially), both console conversions pale in comparison to the PC original. If you have a capable PC, stick with the original and still best version. If you don't, you'll still enjoy the Dreamcast version because most of the game remains intact (if a little slow).

NOTE to importers in Europe: This game will not play through Peritel/RGB/Scart.

The only explanation I have for the great reviews about this game is that these people haven't actually played this veersion yet. The computer version was awesome, the PS2 version OK, and this one is just downright awful. The first few levels play well (at least faster than the PS2), but you can immediatly tell that the animation frames have been lowered significantly. Enemies will be floating in the air when they are standing still, and the moves are really jerky. The real problems begin once you advance to the Capture the Flag and Domination modes, where I swear the frame rate drops to the single digits for entire rounds. This game is completely unacceptable. If you have never played any other version of UT, and haven't played Quake 3 on DC, you MIGHT enjoy this, otherwise, avoid this at all costs and stick with Quake 3!

Ok now I could sit here and tell you this is the best game in the world......but I can't the game play is awsome and the levels and guns are great but it lack in graphics....I have had a few problems with this game but nothing major....I basiclly beat it in oneday.....but you can change the setting for harder games.......I give this a 4 star because it only lacks in grapics and I like everything else about it.....if you don't mind OK graphics then buy this game now!!

Ok, here's the bottom line. There are many pros and many cons in this game. They are as follows: PROS: awesome graphics, awesome gameplay, cool weapons, cool music, lots of levels, great sound effects, head shots, online play, good control

CONS: multi-player has less levels, no one-player mode, no assault mode, not enough skins

All in all this game is a great party game or online game. If you are more into one-player games, this may not be a game for you. In my opinion unreal tournament is better than quake 3 which was boring and too fast and confusing. Stick with UT.

'Unreal Tournament" is the best there is as far as i am concerned!!! i've only had my dreamcast for about 6 months now and have purchased about 60 games and this is the 1st game i am addicted to. i got it last night and played it for 11 hours straight!!! the graphics are awesome, the levels are great and the weapons are beyond description!!! it takes a bit of time to get used to the controls, but once you catch on to them, you will find yourself flying through the different levels, leaving a trail of body parts and blood behind you (LOL)! take this old 49 year olds advice and be sure to add this to your dreamcast colletion, you won't be sorry that you did!!!

Okay, here goes. The only reason I was hanging onto my N64 was for 007... Specifically the multi-player aspect. Everyone has played 007 or Perfect dark for the N64, right? Right. And you remember how much fun it was playing multi-player? Well this, in my opinion, leaves them both in the dust. The graphics are AWESOME, probably the best I've seen on a Dreamcast. I don't care what people say, the controls aren't hard at all. You'll have 'em down in 5 minutes, tops. It offers more than enough game-play options to keep you from getting bored of it. Probably the best first person shooter you'll ever play on your Dreamcast.. I can't say enough about this game... So... Anyone wanna buy an N64?
