Tony Hawk 2 surpasses the original in everyway. The graphics are sharper, the tricks are sicker, the courses are larger, and just about everything else is better. So if you think that it's basically the same as the first Tony Hawk game you are wrong. And if you don't own the original Tony Hawk, then where have you been?

In the sequal new modes include create-a-skater and create-a-park, so if you think the games tracks aren't all they could be, then make your own. Also, you can custimize each skater's clothing, looks, and moves from a huge selection of options. You can even buy new boards with the money you earn.

All in all for those new to the Tony Hawk series or veterans of the original this game is a must buy!

I think this sequal to the first Tony Hawk's is better by far. the graphics are much more realistic and you can even make out the features on the skaters face which you couldn't really in the first. There are so many more tricks to master and with loads more levels and hundreds of tasks this game will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through. There are many more character friendly enviroments and more characters than ever before even the practices are excellent. There are many more characters to unlock including Officer Dick and Spiderman. This game is a must for all sport game fans, and even those of you who are not so interested in sports.

I am now a video game junkie again....

After years of not touching video games and finding the few that I tried boring, this game has turned me into a 100% video game junkie again. The graphics on the dreamcast version are smooth and fluid, and the testures used on the levels work perfectly. It's almost like watching a video tape of a skating contest at points. The control is great. After a few minutes with the controller and the manual you don't give a second thought as to how to pull off moves, you just do them. In addition to the gameplay and wonderful graphics, the soundtrack is slamming with 15 different songs and there's a rewards based system to work with to get to the next level which keeps the game going instead of letting you see all the levels right off the bat and ruining the surprise. A musthave.

Awesome game. Just simply put a must buy. I've never done more then pick up a skateboard, yet still enjoyed this game. A lot. Being able to make your own skate park and skateboarder is a ton o' fun, just because you can put your own style into the game. I definitly recommend this game. The only reason I give it only 4 stars, is even though you have a ton of options in this game, it is still a skateboarding game, and to some, that might not be apealing.

This game is the best ever. I preordered It and It came before I expected it. If you like sports of any kind you should buy this game. I was not a big skateboarding fan before this game. Now I am a nut, I can tell you anything you want to know about it. I played the original where I worked and I loved it. YOU SHOULD BUY THIS GAME. If you played the origonal you can jump right into this game. And the GRAPHICS are amazing on the DC. All the others bow down to the DC version because this game is the daddy of all the other versions. BUY THIS GAME

Skateboard Heaven

I own a copy of the original Tony Hawk Skateboarding game and I was addicted. When this first came out I was initially excited but then slightly dissapointed. Firstly the characters are larger and therefore take up more of the screen and it didn't seem as fluid as its prequel. However after a few minutes of proper playing this games true colors were shining. The tricks are easy to pull off and link to create killer combos. The graphics are vastly improved and the soundtrack is even better. I'm not even going to start with the create-a -skater and create-a-park options or I'll be here all day. Two words...Buy it. No matter what you're into this is a must-have for your collection.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 has to be on of the best this year. The game is easy to get into and easy to master with a little practice. The skate parks are done fabulous. You can create your own skater something that wasn't on the last version. Their's also a park editor, it's just as much fun building a park as it is playing the game. I haven't had any slow down while playing, tons of secret areas. The only drawback is the soundtrack, don't get me wrong its a great soundtrack but it doea get a little monotonous. This is a must buy game. Extremely fun great replay value, I'm sure you'll be playing for months, with all the secret charecters and parks. Have fun

Tony Hawk 2 is by far one the greatest games to ever grace the Dreamcast lineup of ever improving game selections. This game is not a game. It is a virtual world of incredible skateboarding tricks, and unfathomable stunts even by daredevil standards. For fans of the original Tonk Hawk, this sequel blows it right out of the water, a must have game to add to your dreamcast library with some of the greatest reply value ever seen in a video game. Once you kickflip you can't stop.

I own the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater for Playstation and I was so hooked on that game I thought it could never be topped. Then I got a Dreamcast and I bought Tony Hawk 2 not knowing what to expect, and I was very, very satisfied. Tony Hawk 2 gives the word fun a new definition, the skate parks are better designed than that in the original game, and the create a park and create a skater options are great additions, plus Spider-Man is a secret character. You can't beat this game, it's addicting, fun, and if you own a Dreamcast you should own this as well.
