You can't find a better tennis game. I've played all the ones for the PS2 import and domestic and no one comes close. If you are a tennis fan you have to get this. Much better than Virtual Tennis.

Worth every penny

Tennis 2k2 is worth every penny of your money!!!! The graphics are unreal and the form on the players is very close to real life. The stadiums are out of this world. They look great!!!!!!!!! Even the training in the world tour is exiting. Seeing your player get better and better with each match keeps you playing and playing. I can't say enough about this game except that if you are going to get a tennis game this is by far the one to get and if you don't well you have made a huge mistake!

Great game...

This is a great game that will provide a ton of enjoyment for gamers, even those who aren't avid tennis fans. Hell, even the original Pong was a kickash game that was addictive as all gets out, and Tennis 2K2 simply takes that original classic premise and amplifies it to involve more skill, more complexities, more details, more of everything. The graphics aren't too shabby either. Unfortunate that this game was released so late in the Dreamcast's life cycle.

Tenis 2K2 - Awesome

A big improvement over Virtua Tennis. This has smother graphics and better playbility with swinging volleys, and trick shots between the legs. Starting out the world tour has a training mode where you create your own player. You can pick the look, hair style everything. My player looks just like me and I get to name him. You have a calender and you decide whether you play a tournament or train. You have to earn your ranking to get into a tournament. The playing is awesome. The negatives are the women are weak and not as fun to play as men. The whole women side is a waste. The second thing is that the ranking of a man player is based on singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. So You have to play all three to move up in the rankings. Training and playing slow matches with the women is sufferingOther than that the playability is awesome. I can't imagine a better tennis game on any console unless it had a better ranking set up on the world tour mode.

AMAZING GAME MUST BUY

What an amazing game, a killer sequel of virtual tennis and may i say leaves it in the dust. Theres is only one problem. WHERE IS AGASSI and SAMPRAS. But they have a good lineup with rafter, the williams sisters, davenport, and tons of more people. The create a player is awsome. You must train train and train some more if you want your player to get better. CPU can sometimes be a little bit hard but fun. Overall a must bye game. So children of all ages go out and buy Tennis2K2 you wil not regret it.

This is one of the best games ive ever played, and thats coming from a huge video game nerd. The women are real fun to play with, the men cant keep the ball going like the women because they hit it too hard like in real life. Thats why this game is great because it includes the women unlike the first one. But its very addictive. You know I edited my review to say that the "natural blue," song on the first stage in this is real motivating. I like to be Serena Williams facing Lindsy Davenport on the Paris, France court listening to that song. It makes you want to get up and play real tennis.

Didn't pay attention to detail

This game is very fun but the makers didn't pay attention to detail in this game. Every match you play must be one set and only one set. In real life, men's matches are best of 5 sets and women's are best of 3. The only other downside is that it doesn't have Sampras, Agassi, Roddick or any other great players other than Rafter. Fun game all in all and worth buying.

Awesome graphics . . . poor playability

If you liked the original Sega Virtua Tennis, this is a must have because it's still the best tennis game on any platform. The graphics are fantastics, more players, more options and more everything. Unfortunately, it's too difficult. Also, the World Tour mode requires the player to develop both male and female player. It requires too much time. If you have the time and the patience, this is a great game.

Spectacular

Sega Kicked Butt Again... Vitura Tennis was a crazy kind of fun... This game cranks out the energy and fun.... Ne closeups and career mode are great... Best Tennis game on any game system handsdown... X-Box and PS2 included...
