Try Fun Zero, or Frame Rate Zero

Let the bad naming puns begin. This is without a doubt theworst game on the dreamcast. First of the all the designers tried tomap to many funtions onto the Dream Pad making the controlls awkward. But the biggest crime is the graphics. in the short life of the dreamcast we have already have some good games ported over from the PC with no drop in quality (Speed Devils for example was originally Speed Busters on the PC.) Well meet the exception to the rule. While the PC version features above average graphics (that the dreamcast could handle without a problem) the dreamcast version has some of the worst graphics on any system (psx, N64, DC). To make matters worse the frame rate hovers in the one to five frames per second range. It is difficult for me to beleive that someone with any programing skill could not get any game to run at any less than 30FPS on this system. Other things you will find missing from the pc: in game music? the developers say that the dreamcast hardware won't let them stream music or voices off the CD. I guess these guys figure no one has played Sonic Adventure at this point. END
GEEZ! What a shame!

Can u say choppy? Just get the PC version for good fun. The frame rate is under 30 and it is really a shame cuz it looked beautiful and fun. BAH well!

One of the many things that I don't like about the game is that you don't get to choose from any different characters. Then there is the problem that you only get one life, and if you die you have to repeat the game all over again. Overall, Sega should be paying me to play this game and not the other way around!

It's 500 years in the future. Man and machine are virtually one and the greatest megacity in the world is locked in a brutal war. You are the ultimate saboteur and part of an elite fighting force. Your mission: Steal the largest, most sophisicated biomechanical attack weapon ever designed! 3rd person action at its BEST!
Let me tell yah all! Slave Zero on the ultimate Dreamcast "ROCKS!" Let me start off by saying that this game has to be the BEST designed mech game I have ever played. Good stuff: The graphics are gorgeous. The gameplay is the most rounded seen in a videogame. Cool fast mech action. Addictive multiplayer. Good sound effects.
Bad stuff: No online capabilities. When there is a lot of enemies the framerate slows down to about 30fps instead of standard 60fps inside of other dreamcast games. But there is so much action you hardly notice.
BOTTOM LINE : BUY IT! YOU'LL LOVE IT!

I have played the game and to me despite all the other clames of it being "the worst game ever" i thought it was pretty fun to play. Since i am not a game maker I don't know half of the stuff the other people are talking about but I thought the game was pretty fun. The whole idea of running around and blowing stuff up in a big machine always does sound pretty fun and it is.

This is a fantastic game. I am baffled at the reviews people are giving this game! First of all, I honestly didn't notice there was no in- game music untill i read about it. If there was any in- game music, id turn it off. youre to busy listening to directions to care about music. (this game has great voice acting, btw.) the sound effets are great, from the sound of the robots footsteps to all the explosions. the missions are long, and there are 13 of them. the control scheme is perfect. This game isn't too hard or too easy. Its very well balanced. You'll be playing to the end to see all the awsome weapons you get. As for the frame rate, I don't think its bad at all. I was never distracted by a low frame rate. the frame rate stays at 60fps with 1 or 2 enemies on the screen, any more then 2 and it goes to 30fps. but 30 fps isnt bad! the only time it might go under 30fps if there was a ton of explosions at the same time, but that never happened to me. as for the pc version being better, i didnt feel like spending hundreds of dollars to upgrade my pc so it would run good. and just so you know, im not one of those people who thinks EVERY game is fantastic. i did play through this game entirely. i have no reason to give it a higher or lower score then it deserves. my advice is to buy it.
This is such a cool game!

I don't know what the problem is either with the really negative reviewers, but I've been following (and waiting for) this game for the past year+ and it's really good! I am very satisfied and look forward to playing through it a few more times.
The graphic style is dark and gritty and really stylistically cool, the main character Slave Zero is very well animated, as are the enemies and all the Slave Bosses, the city is like something out of Blade Runner or Judge Dredd, very realistic explosions and special effects, and it's cool watching all the cars and people swerve and run away from you. Plus, having all the buildings and bridges around you get destroyed while you're in a firefight with another giant robot is totally cool. The enemy robots dodge and swerve your attacks instead of just sitting there like most games.
The game controls just like you were playing Turok (or Quake), and ran just about as fast (I didn't notice any major choppiness... for those that claim the game gets down to 5 fps, i'd like to know how you got your machine to show that!).
The environmental sound effects are atmospheric and change from area to area... speaking of which, the game has a bunch of different areas as you move through the city and story so the art and enemies change also.
There are no other giant robot games out there like this one! Very unique, fast-paced action, fun!
I like the game. Recommended!
Put this on your list of games to buy!

By far, one of the best action shooter games of the year. Awesome mech-warrior/cyborg designs, great graphics, and all-around good fun. Some camera angles can be confusing at times, but there's a simple way to solve that. Go into first-person view mode, cool huh? Plus 1-4 player action makes it an excellent family game.
Awesome Mech Game!

The things people say that are wrong don't seem to be there to me. There is no choppy animation. Everthing seems to run smoothly. The controls seem difficult at first but after 5 minutes of play you get it. It controls like Turok and Quake. If you are a mech fan and like blowing stuff up this is a definte bu
The worst game ever, buy the PC version!

The graphics are okay, but not great, not anything that you should do a backflip over atleast. slow animation sends this game into a world of bordom, and, even after dissapoint every one with the graphics and the slow game play, and the horrable control, you notice that the game isn't even fun! how horrable is that, leave this game on the shelf, and pick up power stone, it is much better.
