Fantastic adventure awaits in Arcadia.

Although I have yet to beat the game myself, it swept me away the first time I borrowed and played it for the Gamecube, and now that I have a Dreamcast, I plan on buying the original version. The story is unique, the characters, such as Vyse and Aika, are so close to being real you could almost feel their expressions.

As for gameplay, I absolutely hated turn-based RPG's until I played this game. With graphics that are skilled(which beat some mediocre companies to this day) are strung together with anime-styled characters, funny expressions, and overall...it's fun.

The music is so accepting, even someone who hates some of the "classic music" style tracks could be moved. Unfortunately, it's hard to find games with such devotion in their music as much as Skies of Arcadia.

Fun, compelling, touching, exciting and you can go back and play it when your done, this is Arcadia.

Being a hardcore Final Fantasy fan I was skeptical about this game! I've seen many bad RPGs! I shiver just thinking about some of them. This game isn't Final Fantasy and thats good! Real good. BUY THIS GAME! This game is a "stay up all nighter!" Very aspect is perfect! It's just perfect. No, I'm not cheating on you Final Fantasy 7, which I 've played and beaten oh... 22 times. Seriously, they have different feels. The game doesn't feel like the developers were trying to imitate FF. It stand on its own! Like a real game should!

Too bad the sega marketing crew didn't push this title out there, because this is the best game I've seen for the Dreamcast. The ending is very satisfying and the game takes some nifty turns to keep you interested. Only minor flaw is fighting a lot... but the music, graphics, and plot will make this worth your money and time. Too bad it won't get enjoyed as much as it should

Skies of Arcadia is non-arguablely the BEST dreamcast game out there. Maybe even best game period. Don't be discouraged by the beginning of the game, because it stinks. Once you get the hang of this RPG, you will never want to play any other game again. Some parts are frustrating, like bosses. But this is the kind of game where you keep on trying. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOO long, too. That's good. This whole game gives you over 100-200 hours of gameplay. You will love it. I bought it a year ago and I still haven't gotten tired of it at all. The next best game on DC has to be Shenmue.

Just as the fact, here are the best Dc games. (Just so you know, I'm only putting the ones that I have. I have about 50)

This is definately the best rpg ever made! i like it a lot more than any of the Final Fantasy games, defintely. Buy this game if you are able to find it!

I have been a gamer for many many years now. Take this review as the truth cuz i know my stuff. This game is an excellent example of an rpg. It mixes a great story and fun game play. I found myself playing nonstop. The one thing that made me mad in it wasthe battles came too fast i mean alot . Also the face textures and detail could use alitle more detalil (compared to how nice the backgrounds look), it's nothing horrible though like character models in Grandia 2, and not great like Shenmue. This game is what role playing games are all about, fun. It takes you back to that feeling of the first time u played a game like Chrono Trigger and FFXII, which is a great feeling (u know what i mean if u played them). I bought this game used but it had some nasty scratches on it so like 15 hrs into the game it wouldn't play too well, so i bought it online,here. I tell u this game is worth 50 bucks its one of those games u just cant let go by. By this game before it disappears. ANd dont reck ur games and then sell them, because if u sell it that person will be p.o.e.d,lol.

super! i get addicted to it since my highschool days...i even neglected my exams during finals last 2001,just to play it...think of a total burndown of my grades..but i got on track because my parents banned me of playing this game..so i studied harder to be able to play again....so convincing?
yes its really fun.

Skies of Arcadia is all around wonderful. I play all sports game but i have chose the game cause i thought it possessed what many games didn't a good and understandable story and a descent gameplay. It has it all to rescuing people to fighting 1 ton monsters. The way they live and go around makes me feel like im in the 1700's and i'm floating around in A boat. Overall a good game with a good twist on life. Its the best RPG out for winter 2001, and summer 2001.

Without a doubt the best console RPG to date.

What do you want?! Sweeping epic battles... Cool characterizations... this has it and more. The only downside to this game is random battles. That is one thing I despise more than anything in console RPGs. It did keep it from getting a perfect rating from me but other than that this game excels to the nth degree. It almost seems to pay homage to every RPG before in some way or another. While Grandia II was stoic and dull at times Skies keeps you flying. Aika RULES! (man.. my fanboy genes just kicked in).

This is why you should by Skies of Arcadia!

This is a great game when i first started this game i was at an aw playing it wtih its great graphics. It had all of what is needed in a great RPG backstabing, battels, bosses, great plot, and lots of members to your party. There was a new add feature to this RPG the arial battels (which means air ship to air ship) when i had my first ship battel i was stunned that the graphics were still wonderful. Also as soon as i began i was hook in with over 50 hours playing time in! This was the first game i beat for the DC and i hope that it goes to the PS2 or at least part 2.
