Still haven't figured this one out, but when we do, I think it will be fun. The setup is confusing!

Came in perfect condition and had everything in it. Awesome fun and a great source of exercise. Not really different than any other DDR game except perhaps better graphics.
Oh yeah, this is awesome!!

My husband got this for me a couple of days ago to go with HIS new x-box. It took a little while to figure out the menus (probably not for a ten year old, but I didn't have one of those around) but now we are both having a blast! That is one heck of a good workout! I can skip going to the gym today.
BTW, in response to another review about a defective product, well unfortunately that happens, even at the holidays. But, just because you were unable to get a receipt from the gift giver and were not able to exchange it is no reason to rate a product poorly.
Better songs, More dance-like steps

This version of DDR has my teenager and her friends competing with each other. They are able to use the dance pad from her older version so that two kids can dance at once. The kids say the steps are more in line in with the beat of the music and feel more like dance steps than the older version. The selection of songs is a hit as well. My teen tells tells me that the techno songs are the most fun to dance to.
My pre-teen and her friends have tried this as well and while they are not as impressed by the changes as the older kids, they have found a great way to have some active fun during these dreary winter afternoons. Even our neighbor's 8 year old spent an hour trying out the songs and steps without being bored or frustrated.
Great fun!

Got this for our son for Christmas and I think I'm enjoying it more than he does!! Fantastic exercise. I can see it's going to take a lot of practice before I'll advance beyond the basic level! Glad we got it -- so much better than sitting and playing a game!!

Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2... Not typically my first choice with video games (c'mon CALL OF DUTY 4! Am I right?? : ) However, it is coincidentally one of the most addictive, most competitive, most challenging games I've ever played. At first it's kind of tough, (how can anyone possibly hit all of these arrows at the same time? lol). However after you have learned what you need to know, you'll find a fever comes over you to play more and more. Hitting those blinking arrows at just the right time becomes a feverish competition.... and even better: you burn hundreds of calories while playing for just a few hours.
What can I say, a monumental gaming experience!

I'm a big fan of DDR on any console.
with the 360 its a big difference, but once you get used to it, its fun to play. the whole quest mode thing is fun, and it takes a lot of energy to do some of these things.
as differing from PS2 is the fact that the pad for the 360 is thicker, and slightly less cooperative sometimes, but you get used to it after awhile.
overall, 9.9 out of ten stars.

I am new to DDR world. I think I played it in the arcade many years ago. I am terrilbly out of shape after three kids in 2 1/2 years, and have had a blast trying to get back in to shape with this game. The music is fun--a good mix of familiar and new. The game really goes at your pace. Jumping ahead I can see that I have some serious work to do before getting through the game--but I am in no hurry to beat it all in a day or anything. I really wanted this thing to last as an alternative fun exercise, and it is doing just that. After the reviews I read, I had worries about the pad. I really have had no trouble with the pad that came with the game. I am on carpet though. After a few dances it needs to be readjusted some--so you are sure to hit the right spots--but no big deal. It is all that I wanted and expected.
