Having only played the Japanese version of this I think I lost something in not understanding the dialog but Im told it's rather humorous. It's originality is definitely the best the title has going for it, and while odd makes for a very fun game.
Except it's short...real short. I recommend renting it first. There is definitely re-playability but only if your not easily distracted by other games like I am.

While I am a big fan of the ps2. This game [is bad]. The graphics are horable. and the game play is just as bad. your only control is flight and the spinning of the controler, which I find is all you do in this game. Very boreing. Bite spin,Bite spin,Bite spin. Does it sound fun yet... 19 year old gamer S.d. C.a.

Mister Mosquito is one of those Japanese releases that came out in America based on the popularity it was receiving. In Mister Mosquito you take the role of a mosquito and start becoming a pest in a family household. The graphics are detailed enough to make you believe your in a real family household. The characters look real enough so that it makes you feel like you could step into the game. Controls are simple with you using the PS2 analog sticks to maneuver the mosquito and the O and shoulder buttons to do other natural in game stuff. Music is composed of generic beats that you usually hear from most games. In the end I must say I truly enjoy this game. Mister Mosquito should come as more of a rental however. Based upon how short of a game it is you should rent and then make a decision.

Some people might think this game has a lot of blood in it and they shouldn't play it. They are missing out on one of the best Japan-to-America ports ever The controls take a little time to learn but you figure them out within three to five minutes of gameplay. The graphics and sound are great! Especially the commnts like, "You pest!" or "I've had enough!" All in all, this game is a must!!!!!!!!

You're a Mosquito terrerizing the Yamada family while they are on theyr Summer vacation, you buzz through 12 levels sucking them dry. The Family members are Rena, The Daughter.Kaneyo, the Mom. Kenichi, the Dad. And Ayaka The house maid. The levels are Rena's room.The Store Room, The living room, The, bathroom (dont forget its impolite to stare), The kitchen, Rena's room(again), A Japanese room, Rena's room (again,again). Master Bedroom, Rena's room (more dangerous), Living room,Then biggest of all THE HOUSE.So, trust me if you loved the Crash Bandicoot series you'll love this more

I love odd games, especially Japanese ones. This is the only one I currently own but I'm looking for more from Fresh Games (a game company that brings Japanese games to the US). I played the demo and I was hooked. It's fun harassing the people of the house. You gotta suck blood, and if you get enough you can harass the family a second time during another summer. Anyways, this game is becoming rare because Eidos no longer makes it, I believe. If you like weird games like this, pick it up. If you're not sure, get the demo disc from Playstation Magazine.
