Great game

Compared to other games that are coming our right now, this game is great. Yes, it's short, but the amount of entertainment in the 10-15 hours of playtime is worth buying it. The graphics are great, and the controls are easy to learn and movement is fluid. This game DOES have a plot, and compared to other hack/slash games, it's a darn good one. This game is rated M for a good reason, the language in the game can be quite strong. But who would expect a vampire to say "Oh, poo"? I don't think the placement of the language is inappropriate, and it can be funny at times. The environments are interactive, but mostly it's just smashing anything and everything.

There are only two things I find questionable with the game. One, it ended kind of abruptly. Two, fighting could get tedious, but killing dozens of Nazis makes up for that.

All in all, this game is a great buy or nice weekend rent.

well when I played it it was easy and it does get harder it just grow on me slomotion is so cool you can cut off lims and heads you get a lots of guns you have two blades one on both arms you suck blood you can jump on them and suck there blood its your life your a hot chick half vampire half human eny enyway the only thing I have to say bad about it is the combos dont go together well I think it is a cool game Rent it befor u buy it!

Fun, And That's What Counts

Gamers can be hard to please. I generally dislike hack-and-slash fighters like "The Two Towers" because I find the controls and combos difficult to master. Then comes "Bloodrayne" and I'm annoyed because the controls are so simple! All you needs to do is face the general direction of a foe and rapidly tap a single button -- L1 by default in this case -- and *snicker-snack* he (or it) is hacked to pieces. Could we have a skill level in between?

"Bloodrayne" has a great overall concept and a terrific sense of foreward movement. I wish it had been scarier and perhaps more difficult, but the truth is I kept playing it and enjoyed it more than a lot of other games that were initially more impressive and challenging.

It may be cool as the half-vampiress/protagonist to increase one's health level by sucking blood, but it is too easy. There's also something awkward about the gun and ammo gathering, and the weapon-switching is limited and marred by a hard-to-read menu.

On the plus side, there's an interesting "blood rage" mode of play (similar to Max Payne's "bullet time", though less clear when and how long it can be used). There are many other nice touches, too, like the way you find the next goal by using your "aura" sense.

Final word? I'd say I'm into it without totally loving it, and would recommend it (with a few reservations) to any fan of the vampire genre. Experienced game players into "fighters" though will find it too easy.

This game starts out boring, gets decent then gets so repetitious and boring and long that you just get tired of the same thing over and over.
I mean how many nazis can you assassinate before it gets old?
graphically it isnt that great either,maybe a 6 out of 10.
The weapons all pretty much have the same effect, if you want to kill something you have to jump on it and drink its blood, otherwise you will be there all day and run out of ammo.
When you drink blood from peole you jump up and wrap your legs around their waist and start sucking, which is cool.
Overall its worth renting, but some people may like it enough to buy.

When I first heard of this game I thought the idea was very far-fetched. A half-vampire who fights Nazis to stop them from awakening a deamon and destroying the world? Come on! But then I played it, and I couldn't put it down! I liked selection of wepons, I LOVED the characters, and I practically worshipped Rayne's moves. And although the plot is very unrealistic, the graphics are. I felt like I was Rayne! This game is one of my favorite games of all time!

BloodRayne is one fun game that keeps you keep on playing and playing. The game does feature some grainy graphics, but it's very good.

This game is pretty cool if you're a fan of vampires. I'm one of them, OBSEST with them almost. This game is really cool, Rayne kicks butt! All the variety of weapons and moves. It's one game you definattly don't want to play at night in a dark room if you're weak at heart and scare easily. Hehe i can be at times. This game has a gothic look too it which makes it so cool. Love the voices, specially since two are the voice actors of my favorite anime Dragonball Z. It's a definite buy as i've said if you're into vampires and blood and gore and all that good stuff in video games. I rated it three stars for the moment cause I just got it and haven't got used to the controls and way of moving just yet. This game kicks [butt]!!

For all of the gamers...the game control is difficult to grasp. The graphics are pretty good for the most part. Gameplay is kinda of weak because of how easy it is to just take out opposing characters.

Now the core of my review: This game is dark! I've played other games that some would deem pretty creepy. This game traverses the line into extreme GOTHIC. The mind from which this game spawned from is more than likely steep into the occult. I would strongly caution parents away from this game. I would urge anyone considering this game to do so with complete scrutiny. You have to be free of much moral character to appreciate a game this evil.

A friend of mine had industry reviews of the game stating that Marilyn Manson had a part in the games development. CAUTION! That it and of itself should be reason to stay clear of this game.

Luckily, I rented the game, thinking it held a driven story and fast-action gameplay. I played it for 10 minutes and returned it after that.

I love this game! From
kicking Nazi butt to
great gameplay, this
has it all! The storyline
is good, BloodRayne herself
is hot and a great fighter,
she could whip Lara Croft's
butt anyday! Gameplay is
challenging, but satisfying.
I got the game for Christmas,
and bought the memory card and
strategy guide myself. The card
and guide are so helpful. This
game seems to be aimed towards
guys,but I love this game and
I'm a girl!!!

I love vampires and so I
love Rayne. Mynce is cool,
too. If only you could feed
on Mynce!! Cool that Rayne
can feed, being 1/2 vampire.

If you are looking for
a cool vampire fighting
game, then BloodRayne is
for you. I play it on
Playstation 2. It rocks!!
