Fun Family Game

I was thrilled to find a KJV Bible trivia game that my whole family could play together. The game is easy to use and lets each player pick their level of difficulty for the game. I especially love the feature that allows you to look up the scripture from the question.
This game is a great way to learn more about the Bible and spend quality family time.

Excellent!!

My kids love this game! My kids range in age from 5yrs to 13yrs to 40yrs (my husband). We all love it! It is the only PS2 game we own that they do not fight over while playling! It is fun for the entire family! Unbeleivable!

You would think, if you truly had God on your side, you'd be able to produce a better game. However Crave's The Bible Game appears to be mostly devoid of compelling content, or honestly, any kind of Christian message at all.
The video game is based around a game show. That pins you against either 4 human or computer controlled characters. It seems decent enough however until you realize there is very little order to how the game is run. Each player takes turns randomly jumping onto different points on the game board. One of these pieces is "The Wrath of God", where you lose all of your points for the round if you land on it. Just so we get this clear. The Wrath of God is completely random and the deserving and undeserving are likely to land on it. Nice way to spread the Love of God.
In the final round, Players have a chance to get some extra points from the Tree of Knowledge. If you pick any fruit, other than the apple, you get a lot of extra points. However if you pick the apple, you lose all of your points. Once again this is completely random and you wonder why you should even try. This game seems to favor focusing on the mean spirited God of the Old Testament and leave out Jesus altogether. Once again, Nice way to spread the love of God.
The challenges are both trivia and minigames which consist of questions that are repeated all too often. The game claims to have over 1500 Bible questions but you only have access to the questions based on the difficulty you set for the game at the beginning so players get ripped off by not getting the total game experience.
One of the best games is the tower of Babel. This has the feel of "stab your neighbor in the back". Otherwise, there's just not much fun to be had. Most of the games have a Christian soundtrack so either you'll enjoy the game because you like it or you'll enjoy it because the songs are so painfully annoying.
As a pastor, I'm embarrassed to see that this is what we Christians have to offer the public. If you just want to entertain the kiddies for a few minutes, this game is fine. honestly, Most stories in the Bible could honestly make for an awesome gaming experience if we focused on one character such as David. But considering we are to show the excellence of God, in all that we do, this game falls way too short. There seems to be no message at all about the core belief of Jesus and what our message is, The Great Commission. If we are to spread the word, we need to start by not making bad video games.

Pros:The Tower of Babel minigame is fun
Cons: Most of the other games are boring, The game mechanics are mushy

Fun for All

This is an excellent game. My 8 year old has a blast playing it and it beats any of the other games out there. I would recommend this to anyone.

My children and I enjoy playing this game. The only drawback for this game - you stay up late and won't stop - it's blissfully addictive. Love it!

This is a great game to have to learn about JESUS in a fun way for both children and adults. In this game you play on a T.V. show made for GOD. On this T.V. show the four players take turns picking sections on the game board that is on the game screen. The section is covered so you don't know what you will get. When you pick a section you get points for picking that section and find out what game to play. There are challenge games, blessing games, trivia games, do unto others games, and commandment games.

There are many challenge games and all four players get to play. These games are based on the Old Testament only. I wish they would of made games about the New Testament too. There is David and Goliath where you sling rocks at phillistine army targets that pop up from the ground with a big Goliath target that ocasionally appears moving side to side. There is Daniel and the lions den. In this one you get lions to chase you into traps on the ground that are in a small maze. There is Jonah and the whale. You ride a whale on the water and go through targets. There is Tower of Babel. In this one you break out pieces of a building by making completed shapes on it. The bigger the shape, the more points you get and more of the building collapes. But to keep the game going, the game restores the building. There is Jacob's Ladder. You climb up stairs to heaven by pressing the correct direction of the arrow. There is Red Sea. You run through the Red Sea and try not to get swept away by the walls of water at the sides. You also watch out for thorns and crabs that try to make you trip and fall. There are other challenge games too. Seven Days, Aaron's Staff, Leap Of Faith, Noah's Ark, False Idols, and Walls of Jericho.

There are mulitple blessing games but only one player can play. There is Holy Land scramble. In this game you unscramble a map of the Holy Land. There is Bible Pairs. In this game you uncover pictures on the screen and pair that picture with it's pair. Like Adam and Eve, Noah and the ark, and David and Goliath to name a few. There is Follow the Light. There are lamps and when a sequence of lights are given, you must remember it and follow it. There also is Angels and devils. When you see an Angel you press o. When you see a devil you press x. The more you get in order, the more points you will receive. There is Samson. You press the button as fast as you can to help Samson bring down the temple. Finally, there is Ten Commandments. You put in order the Commandments.

Then there are trivia games. It's just one game where they ask you questions about the Old Testament. All four players get to play. The first correct answer to the question gets the most points. I wish they would of made questions about the New Testament.

Next there are do unto others games. Only one player plays this game. In this game you see options randomly appear on the screen. You press a button when you want it to stop. Whatever you get, you do it for the player in the game with the lowest score. You can give your turn, you can unselfishly give some of your points, or you can play a game for that player to earn points. This game is called Coat of Many Colors. It is a pinball style game that was named after Joseph's Coat.

Finally there are commandment games. This game is only one game for only one player. In this game there are three options that randomly are chosen. You press a button to stop it and then see from who you will be getting points from. The three options are Heaven, Leader, and Everyone. If you get Heaven, you get points from the game. If you get Leader, you get points from the player with the most points. If you get Everyone, you get points from all the other players. After you know who will be giving you the points, you then see three numbers. These three numbers also are randomly chosen until you stop it. When it stops then you will know how many points you will receive.

There is one more thing you can get besides these games when you chose a section. It is the wrath of GOD. If you get the wrath of GOD, you lose all your points for the current round. You can play many rounds and all the rounds end when someone selects the wrath of GOD. If the wrath of GOD is the last section in the round to select, there is a chance to escape the wrath of GOD. A box with four sides will appear. On three sides is the wrath of GOD but on one side there is treasure. The box will spin and you stop it with a push of a button and if you get the treasure you will get the jackpot points and the round will end with no one suffering the wrath of GOD.

After all the rounds have ended, you play the final game called the GRACE OF GOD. In this game you pick fruits from a tree hoping you don't pick the fruit with the serpent. You have eight choices and when you pick fruits you get points but if you pick the wrong one you lose all the points you've gotten in this final round. After this final round, all the points are added up to see who is the winner. The game gives you the option of making the game 10, 20, or 30 minutes long. You can set the difficulty of the triva questions and of the challenge games.

There is also a mode where you can just play challenge games. It's like the game show but you only play challenge games. You keep picking challenge games to play and when you want to stop, the player with the most points is the winner.

There is a soundtrack in this game with Christian artists. If you like modern Christian music then you probably will like it. I believe this is the best ps2 game on the market. GOD BLESS IN CHRIST and may you have fun playing this game.

A great game for the whole family, just listen to my nephew Trey!!! The Bible Game rules!

Michael Sullivan is obviously a reviewer with little enthusiasm for good clean fun. In fact, he probably got some sick kick out of the gory scenes from movies like "Hostel" and "Saw". My main point is that when thinking about purchasing or playing this game, realize that you will not be able to mow down your opponents with a minigun. It is an "Everyone" rated game and also a bible trivia game and that is exactly what you should expect to get. This game is pretty good for what it is and you can't find another bible affiliated videogame on the market. I gave it 5 stars for fun and especially originality.
